[OOC Thread] Where They Sing The Praises of the Yozis [Realm of Darkness]

We'll probaby discuss this on the AIM meeting today, or Blackadder will announce them to us in said meeting, after he gets the necessary info/feedback he needed.
 
Major Events


The following has occurred during the past Realm Year:


- Alchemicals: The Seal of the Eight Divinities was breached at last, and Creation has encountered the arrival of the Autochthonians and the Alchemical Exalted. Initially invading and snatching up prisoners and resources in the South and East, the various Tripartite Assemblies have arranged for the start of diplomatic relations with Lookshy and Paragon, among other satrapies and tributaries and independents. The Realm soon in the grips of civil war, is avoided by the Autochthonians, but they send ambassadors after Tepet Ejava's victory at Sdoia City to recognize the victor and future Empress.


- Sea Wars: Recently, for reasons unknown, the Lintha have begun a full scale war on the deep with Skullstone. Both sides are fighting hard still, but stalemated, thanks to Moray Darktide's prowess at blunting the first overwhelming pirate wave.


- Civil War: It happened. Not long after peace with the Autochthonians, Regent Fokuf disappeared under everyone's noses, but all signs point to unnatural play. Regardless, the point became moot once Mnenmon took the initiative and seized the Imperial City. With the backing of her House, House Cathak and House V'Neef, she declared herself Empress. Tepet Ejava raised her forces in response and civil war raged across the Realm. Ejava was backed by many, and the majority of the remaining Great Houses came to her aid. After strife and blood, Ejava personally destroyed the primary fleet and legions of Mnenmon at Sdoia City, and controls most of the Blessed Isle. The sorceress holds onto Imperial City and has unleashed Abyssals of the Mask of Winters, but her chances are too thin to succeed.
 
I think i have complete my character sheet and also made some minor alterations in my background to reflect the ones in my character sheet. I had a question though. My chosen combat ability is martial arts and the style i found more closely emulating Ishiro's stealthy and subtle approach to all things, even combat, is Ebon Shadow style. However, except from the Scroll of the Monk (pg.91-94) where this style is initially located, there's also a (supposedly more balanced and improved) version of the style as written by a White Wolf community member, Plague of Hats, that can be found here: http://forums.white-wolf.com/cs/forums/p/27278/557913.aspx#557913 . If it isn't much to ask Blackadder could you please make a comparison between them and decide if i'm allowed to use any of those versions? It would be really appreciated and thank you in advance for your time and effort.

As a sidenote, i'm about to finalize my character sheet and i presented the two Ink Monkeys charm that i chose (Our Little Secret, Golden Years Tarnished Black) in full text in order for you to be possible to assess them without need to check offsite links etc. Actually the second charm opens up a whole charm tree that unfolds the Ebon Dragon's "poisoning of the mind and spirit" principle in a terrifyingly awesome way.
 
I've been in contact with Inari on AIM. I don't know about Sarodinian or Pendragon, though. I would appreciate with updates on their progress, and they CAN post in the prelude.
 
Sorry, I've been lazy getting Zeia completed and thinking about a post...Saro's just been a bit occupied to finish with Ferric, but I'll remind him he can post too.

Sure. No problem. By the way did you try to contact Pendragon, in case he is dealing with some sort of problem that prevented him from posting but will be soon resolved or something?
 
I've sent him a PM. I haven't seen him on AIM, so no contact there. Otherwise... no outlets for communication.
 
Ok, I just got a response from Pendragon, who says he's just finished exams.


So Pendragon: Make your character sheet, but feel free- nay you are requested- to post in the Prelude, which is RP-only, and no dice. You will not need a sheet for the prelude. :)
 
Gah, guys, it's probably best to replace me after all. Something's come up and I'm not going to be able to dedicate enough time to justify me still being in the game. :(

Also: for the Acquisition System you guys wanted... consider yourselves to all have Infamy 5 background (pg 7, BWC). I reserve the right to lower or restore your dots depending on IC actions and successes.

Sorry if this was gone over in the intial planning meeting and I'm repeating questions, but does that include the '5 floating dots of artifact / manse' that are normally part of Infamy, or just the Resources, etc ratings?


Not that a free Artifact 5 is a bad thing, just curious. >.>
 
Well, you'll have Infamy 5, meaning the floating dots and the free ratings... you'll probably need to have to make sure the Yozis don't find it TOO unreasonable... but you likely can get most of what you want... OOC: I will work things out with you guys.


Also, Zoronos, and anyone else who already took Infamy dots, you replace them with some other backgrounds to compensate.

As for the infamy dots, i'll probably use some of them to extend the network of my spies and probably obtain another hearthstone and an amulet for it.
 
I think Shara will use the dots to gain control of a manse and a collar of dawn's cleansing light. I haven't figured the manse out completely, but I'm thinking something like a 4 dot manse, on the blessed isle, that had been in the hands of a cultist or akuma. (eyeing the Gem of Unquestionable Authority from BWC as the hearthstone) Let me know if it makes sense for things to have gotten so bad that a corrupt DB could have gone so far as to have the manse they control tainted with demonic essence, and/or if such a thing could pass unnoticed. If not I might just go with a similar thing in Malfeas, but we'll see. Trying to think about the sort of things she would be given access to for this mission.
