I'll go ahead and say yes to both, but honestly I'm not sure how much of it would be applicable with this setting. Is there something specific you'd like to play out?

You have real military and roleplay military experience? I'm just wondering what situations may be applicable to this roleplay that you've encountered before and do you know of any tactics that could help us such as strategies for gunfire from all sides or breaching rooms/moving forward on a battlefield? @Fenris also plz tag me or quote me so I get a notification :)

@HarleyQuip

Apologies, I was being lazy...

I do have a little experience with both rp's and the real military though sadly I think games, fiction or 5min on google actually end up covering more of those scenario's for the purpose of writing. The actual drills practiced are very simple and more of a cover all relying on leaders to make the right calls; if your interested just search battle drill 1-4 (engage, disengages squad) 5-6(breaching) etc. Rp experience has also been more fun and action focused than tactical. Sorry :(

No apology necessary just trying to create a bit of dialogue while hopefully sparking an educational conversation, which your post did give a little insight and possible avenues  of information, which was the intended goal. So thank you.

As far as roleplay situations... what was the hardest enemy you've had to overcome? @Fenris

Inexperienced writers who ignore others posts or the rp's flow ;)

That aside, other players have made for the most memorable encounters. Especially when there was more to an encounter than simply beating the opposition, such as having a second team accomplish something while tying up an overwhelming force or luring them into an ambush.

Do you have any particular experiences that you can bring to the table? For example any specific details about an operation or mission that was successful?

(Also... I get frustrated with the plot not* moving forward. So I understand fullheartedly how that is)

Heh, indeed. I do hope he recovers well =D

As far as specific experiences, I'm not sure... they were all collaborate efforts and enjoyale due to story and other characters involved rather than any tactical genius. And nothing that would seem relevat to this setting immediatley comes to mind.

Giving orders like you would soldiers. Ill control most of their actions for the most part but depending on how you lead, will also affect how they react to you and whether or not they follow orders. So at that point, its up to you entirely. If you treat your sqyadron like shit, then no one is going to listen to you bitch ass.

No worries, already working on a platoon leader's attitude atm. I'm so excited! (plznokillme)

Leader attitudes gives me some character idea's... Need to go grab some stuff but I'll get to writing once I'm through. I'm looking forawrd to seeing the different squads and their leaders.

Sounds like your having a rather turbulent holiday season! Hopefully everything pans out for the better and you actually get to enjoy some of the Christmas cheer.

Thanks! :)

@Scarlet Fires & @Fenris

Do either of you have any prior military/combat roleplay experience? Or better yet, real Military experience?

And a very tiny bit. Definitely something I should learn about.
