OOC Section

couple of things real quick @shadowz1995 I feel OOC should be moved outside the roleplay thread.

Second but more important thing... Just a suggestion but a little profile and background of everything our generation knows about the Qui would be helpful... like a character sheet but more as a debrief

•What are they made of? (organic, dimensional, energy, etc)

•What kind of weapons do they use?

•Do they have any weaknesses or vulnerabilities?

•What is ineffective against them?

•Do we have any technology available that would allow us to neutralize them?

Yes, yes I am getting to all of this lmao.

But what is that you would like? Like a bit of lore on modern humans?

Yeah particularly what makes modern humans different from the futuristic ones, what kind of technology is available and how does that make them any different?

We know the human race has an enemy but we don't know much about them or our own species yet

Edit: also what is different from the earth in the story compared to our own real life one? Technology yes, but are there any different materials or substances we should be aware of?

I literally just got done adding some detail to it. It's not so much the technology change as it is the fundamental basics of what makes humans...well "human".

To put it in perspective, Modern humans have almost full access to what the future humans had in terms of tech (because the future humans started showing them how to make it. Data stored in their memory banks can pull up schematics for future tech and all that good stuff) but they wouldn't dare turn themselves into such creatures, despite the future humans saying "It's the only way."

The reason being is because they are both fundamentally different. Future humans, or "Synths" are far too different than their modern counterparts on a basic level.

Future humans made their choices according to the time and situation they were in. Desperate times call for desperate measures, after all. But the modern humans had TIME to prepare. To plan. To strategize. To make decisions when they weren't watching the very extinction of the human race around them.

This is why they are both considered different races.

To answer your other questions....

Yes the Qins are being developed as I type this write now. Im planning them out in my little journal here. If you want to know about how they are coming along, I can give you that but I can't give you every detail about them just yet.

Nothing is different. Humans have learned to harness everything in known existence. Things like plasma, dark matter, anti-matter, and even gravity is under their control. Theoretically they could even create weaponized black holes. (I will probably add some substances or mats that dont exist in our reality.......actually I more than likely will but I can't think of anything solid as of now. Pitch me some Ideas if you got em).

i did a research project years ago for my high school science class and there's something called grey matter which once it makes contact with any material it instantly begins taking it over on a molecular level, ontop of this the material is much more dense than anything we have here on earth currently which would make it virtually indestructible.

There's also a fascinating experiment which was done fairly recently involving the laws of observation, they put something with highly active particles into a controlled environment next to a very thin piece of tin.

When the camera's were rolling there were no signs of puncture to the thin tin material. however when the camera was not on and no one was watching, they later found puncture holes in the sheet of tin.

Iridium is one of the rarest and strongest metals known to man today, and there is very little of it on the planet. The reason for this is that scientists believe the the iridium deposits were caused due to the asteroid/meteor that killed the dinosaurs which left traces of the metal all over the planet.

There's a substance known as "vantablack" which was recently discovered and is so dark that it appears to not reflect any light.

Bismuth has an opposite magnetic polarization than any other material on the planet.

Thought these might give you some ideas. @shadowz1995

I finally meet someone that knows what iridium and grey matter is. Holy shit, 22 years and I finally find one lmao. You are now my friend

I'm sort of a softcore science nerd but it is surprising to find someone with knowledge in these areas in every day life :)  glad to have be a friend

I personally have a knack for pseudo science. Taking things that exist and applying them in a crazy way. Or giving scientific backing to a fantasy race. Things like winged humans or lizard people lol.

Ok! So for when everyone comes back! The humans are done and Psions are underway. If you guys have any ideas  for aloen races now would be time.

Im going to finish up Psions tomorrow and get started on the classes

Alright. Psions are coming along beautifully. Also updated modern humans due to the nature of Psionic power. Should give us more of an edge against these abysmal creatures. They are shaping up to be nasty things in my journal.

personally I would enjoy any extra details we can get about any of the species. Have you finished with the Qui?

Nope not yet. Adding some much needed detail to them.

There's no backstory nor reason to them or what they do. In case, that's what you are looking for.

Just looking for their molecular composition as creatures we actively have to fight.

Oh. Their skin is made of something akin to organic metal. Similar to colossus from X-men. The "grade" of the metal varies but as the threat level of the Qin increases, the thickness of their armor does exponentially.

For example,  A class E Qin is a little smaller than the average human and can't be put down by conventional weapons. (modern weapons....as in what we have right now.) It would require armor piercing to do some semblance of damage. Anti-material rounds would do the job on these guys.

Now jump up a class from E to D and its a whole different ball game. The anti-material rounds would barely put a dent in them and you have to result to much higher powered weaponry. Luckily we are in the future and this is readily available. The rifles that we will be working with are basically infantry sized, automatic rail guns. And that's saying something. A squadron of about 5 equipped with standard equipment would bring down this level of Qin after a few seconds of concentrated fire.

Up the ante again to grade C and suddenly Standard is worthless. If you had WAY more men concentrating fire on the beast, you MAY hurt it a bit. These things need to be taken down by plasma rounds or pulse cannon fire. Expensive stuff but it gets the job done. Elite units come equipped with this (Which is what the players will be. Elite and up)

Class B monsters.....I'm pretty sure you see where I'm going with this.
