I'm pretty excited too. Should be fun :)


A note about the notice board: as I mentioned, everyone's free to post job requests and such. Basically the description of a job should be vague and give information from the viewpoint of the individual who put up the request (whether it's an NPC or your character if it's their request). Then the participants who take up the quest will RP out the story, deciding whether they succeed, fail, or whatever.

@marorda From the excerpt that I read, it definitely has potential. I couldn't understand it fully because there's certain terminology in there that I'm assuming you'll only understand with more reading. But, other that that, it's pretty great.

@marorda I read it over again and actually the term was explained. I'm talking about the Dragon's Eye stone. Only other one I can think of is the mention of griffins. I'm assuming you mean the lion/bird hybrid creature? Probably doesn't need to be explained though because of the target audience.

Hmm, gonna be honest: I'm seeing a lot of "good guys" personalities and rarely any flawed, rough-around-the-edges types. I mean, everyone did catch that the cast aren't "the most noble or well-meaning" bunch, right? :P


Part of this RP's schtick is to poke fun of those "main character, paragon of goodness, holier than thou" types. It's jaded fantasy. Just something to make note of when you're either making your character or developing them in the RP later.

Are we allowed to have more than one character? I got (at least) one other character in mind that would fit here. She's less of a "good guy"  than Cali :3

My character isn't gonna be good, I can promise you that. She's chaotic neutral, although leans towards the evil side

My character is true neutral. He literally does not care and would rather go around investigating random things. 


*Sees a rare plant and a merchant being robbed by bandits.* 


"Ah!  A rare flower. I shall now sketch this while ignoring the person fighting for his life."
 
@marorda Yeah, you're allowed to make a second character if you want. Don't feel obligated to do it despite my comment ^^


The characters aren't evil either. Like they're not actively trying to do evil shit. They're not going around and loping off peasants' heads or anything  xD


@Wandering Hollow Has the right idea. Along those lines will be fine. Sure, they also try to do good deeds but their attempts are misguided at times. You should also have a wee-bit of selfishness. Like if someone is having a heart attack or something, the characters will probably take pause and hopes someone else jumps in and help instead of them. Then if they discuss the problem they'll most likely be like, "Oooo. I... I got a really important thing in like 30 minutes. Helping this guy's gonna be a whole thing. I mean it looks like it's his time anyways. Who am I to defy mother nature?" At least that's who I'm planning to play my character. This is just me. You don't need to be as on-the-nose about it lol


@NemoTheSurvivor Malvis was transformed after the tavern was already established.

I'm just curious, and feel free to blow me off as I know this question can get annoying, but when do we plan on starting?
 
@Blu Aight, I'll roll her character up again. Haha. She's a jaebrin beguiler who cares more about her own good and money than anything else
 
@Mistory There's still quite a few people who haven't put up a CS yet I believe. So I'll give them a bit more time, a day or two if that's fine with everyone.


@marorda She at least has the innate arrogance of being an elf going for her so that's good :D
 
@Blu Cali is the elf. The other one is not. Her name is Kaya. She's a Jaerin (as I mentioned). That's a different race entirely :P
 
@marorda Oh, I thought you meant you were going to edit in new traits for Cali. But a new character is welcomed to.
 
No no on XDD Cali is gonna stay who she is.


I'm adding a second one. And she ain''t working there. She's a patron. Kaya'd ratehr have people work for her than doing anything herself xD
