OOC Chat

My all time favorite Marvel movie would have to be either Spiderman 2 or Guardians of the Galaxy.I would put Deadpool as my No.1, but I don't count it as a Marvel movie.

Ew no

That movie sucked

Wait Spiderman or Spiderman 3? xDDD I liked the first two, the third with emo spidey was awful

Then what is it?

;O; Why you hate da Tony?

Cause he's egotistical, can't listen to reason, impulsive to a fault, and the ENTIRE PLOT of Cap 3: civil war was all because he was too much of a prick to listen to Cap. I'm a cap fanboy anyways- him and hawkeye lol

not as in a cap and Clint ship, just they're my favorite avengers xD

Eh yeah, I can see that. He as a character, his motivations, and his reasoning behind everytthing in the whole Civil War story were way better in the comics. Iff I were to go off of the comics, I'd be on Iron Man's side 100%

OK but even then I was still sided with Captain America. Well Tony does have a good point about needing oversight, that does not negate the fact  that captain  America is right when he says that basically every villain will target every superheroes family. At least that is his reasoning if I remember my comics correctly?  I mean unless shield is planning on putting guards around every superhero family 24 seven there's no way they can keep them safe. Even then shield is very easily hacked as Tony himself has demonstrated. It's just a bad idea in my opinion.

While that that is a pretty good reason for not wanting it to exist, I favor Iron Man's reasoning so much more, and that is, that heroes shouldn't be allowed to get away with committing horrible crimes and just passing it off as collateral damage because they aren't above the people they protect. The whole thing that spurred the registration act was that after many other instances of them killing countless innocents while doing what they do, but they blew up an entire orphanage full of children and not one "hero" batted an eye.

*shrug* To some extent I agree. My base argument is that Cap never said heroes shouldn't have oversight- just that they shouldn't be registered in the way Tony suggested. Of course tony is *never* wrong so they get in a fight over it. And also to an extent, well, sometimes choices have to be made. Its the train switch psych thought experiment- sure, in an ideal world we save all groups, but sometimes you have to choose to save the orphanage and let him get away and likely kill even more people when he attacks the second time or catch him while sacrificing the orphanage. Sure they should be as careful as possible, but supervillians aren't cakewalks ( for the most part). Something is going to be destroyed, its the nature of fighting. Do you fault the soldier that chooses to disarm a nuke that's about to blow up over saving people from a grenade? While its a good ideological stance to take and I commend Tony for being that altruistic, sometimes it doesnt work out perfectly- and it is hubris, TONY's hubris, to think they can make everything turn out okay if they just are really really careful. Especially given as un-checked bureaucracy could easily make it so that superheroes couldn't save ANY lives without breaking some type of law or getting sued. If McDonalds can get sued for having hot coffee and not warning people that the coffee is *gasp* hot, superheroes would be sued into oblivion if their real identities were known. Its amazing TONY wasn't sued more.

My dear sister, you should change the people that say villain to reflect their character that's funny like you did to me and Ender.
