I am so sorry for your pain. Heads up as well that I seem to be coming down with the flu (been asleep all day which was... weird. since I normally never sleep xD) so please feel free to poke me whenever needed, I may just be casually being a plaguebearer :P
 
Dude I did not know that! XD But ngl DDR is my first stop whenever I find myself at an arcade (whats the ddr anime called A Awakening AKIRA i need to watch it for .. research purposes yes) Juju and I just get each other maaan. Now I'm gonna have to post something here once I get home

SAME, only arcade game I liked playing, though I was crap at it. And it's 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' - it's in episode 9, when two characters who both pilot giant robots have to learn to co-ordinate, they train by using DDR :P It is truly golden. The anime is quite... ominous though, as a warning - one of the best in history (not just imo :P) but DAMN. damn

Glad u speak my language, even if it's HORRIBLY WRONG sometimes xD

I am 100% down for Juno being the tiny skunk child. I mean, if they want to get drunk and start a girl power band (which I guess Juno is going to have to try and foil) then I'm all for it.

Unfortunately, very much unlike our dear friends Bryce and Amy, who seem to have been largely ignored by the growth spurt gods post 1993.

Have also added mikaluvkitties mikaluvkitties ' lovely headcanons. Feel free to post some more on here if you have any more!

I grew up reading Archie comics so it's a no-brainer for me, though I've heard some describe the show as "Edgelord Archie" which sounds confusing and makes me hesitate a little bit. Just a little bit, though. I think my love for Zach and Cody is enough to overcome any reservations about it.

Literally my main form of exercise, tbh XD I play this game called Step Mania which is free and all the DDR mixes (and other user-created ones) are also all on the net. Rhythm games are very much my heh jam. I semi-learned how to play drums from Rock Band, and been meaning to get into Rock Smith. By the way, I've definitely heard of Neon Evangelion before! Never really checked it out because I've never been into mechs and futuristic settings (I think Zoids was the one exception), but I just started getting into Cowboy Bebop. Like really getting into it, so I guess I don't know myself after all lol

And onto RP-relevant things: I will be posting Ms. Social Worker maybe later tonight/more likely early tomorrow. I might also post as Luke (the totally-not-incestuous Arcade guy, not our dear Luke!) for a potential plot idea, but you folks seem to be doing pretty well so far so I'll let you be for now. No rush about it, though! I realise a lot of you are at that hellish point right before the holidays hit.

Also taking FC suggestions for Luke the Arcade guy, Tiffany Banks, generic nameless rich kids, and the Avondale Homeowners Association Night Watch. I've already had it in my mind that the social worker is going to take the face of that one probation officer from the Misfits, but if anyone has something else in mind, I'd be willing to hear em!

And ooohh, I'm halfway through Cowboy Bebop and I do not blame you, I've gone from 'meh' to 'DEAR GOSH;. I also generally hate mechs, but Neon Genesis Evangelion is a deconstruction and critique of the genre so if you hate mechs, it's the mechfor you :P It's much more psychological based (the writer was dealing with depression at the time and basically used the show as a platform to explore that but MECHS to keep the weeaboos hooked :P) (I say, as a former weeaboo :P)

WHAT. I've been misled all this time, thinking it was going to be your typical Gundamesque series. Now I need to watch it ! I love shows that deconstruct (and even make fun of !) genres and tropes. A good meta joke always gets me going.

Aaaaaand with thag I need to plug what I've been trying to get literally everyone to watch ever since I came upon it ... Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun! It's a hilarious show that simultaneously pays homage to and breaks the conventions of the Shoujo genre. Trying not to spoil as much as possible, but basically it starts with your run of the mill love confession, except the dumb as a rock main male protag misunderstands the main female protag, and he gives her his autograph instead. Turns out he's actually the mangaka for a popular Shoujo manga, and somehow in the confusion and awkwardness, the girl gets roped into helping him with his manga. Simple concept, but easily dethroned Ouran as the funniest anime that made me laugh so hard I literally started crying.

What can I say? There is no such thing as a former weaboo! I try my best to be all fancy with my period dramas and my pretentious indie flicks, but at the end of the day I grew up with Naruto (which I could never finish because dear lawd) and Cardcaptor, and they will always have a special place in my heart.

The pad is about $60, but admittedly it's not the best thing ever XD The sensors are too small, and I have to keep it confined to a narrow space AND sandwiched in between heavy books so it won't move around so much. I'm just happy I haven't stomped a hole into the floor yet with all my playing!

Alright now that I'm done writing OOC/OT novellas, the RP STUFF: Later today, I'll have some information up about Tiffany Banks and other rich kids (if you want to go the blackmail route, in true Evil Mastermind Twitch fashion). I'll also post as the social worker, but I might hold off on the Arcade Luke post until tomorrow.

I've updated the Lore section lots. It's mostly to do with the NPCs. Feel free to read through them here. And yes, myst.erion myst.erion , I totally stole the Polaroid motif from your app. Sorry not sorry! It was just too good to pass up. And also A Awakening AKIRA I gotta thank you cause I was having a really hard time with FCs, but there your awesome suggestions were! Everyone Everyone : Some of the NPC descriptions may have something to do with your character. I've written them in bold for easier reference. I realise writing them involved a lot of assumptions on my part, so if you want something changed/removed/added, do let me know. Some of the characters got more mention than the others, but not to worry! Other NPCs are bound to come!

Error 420 Error 420 Just now checking the IC and saw the edit. If you and your group ( A Awakening AKIRA animeloulou animeloulou ) want to skip forward to the foster home, go for it! If no one else replies in a few hours, I'll just drop the NPC Luke reply anyway, since it provides them with yet another opportunity to get into Avondale. Of course, I'm curious to see what you come up with, and you guys don't have to go the NPC Luke route if you have other plans.

Ah, you know how weak I am for your Lore <3 thanks for all the hard work and YASSSS Luke gets to speak!!! He is Mark Hamill in my mind, just so u know, regardless of whoever's face you have assigned him xD I shall get to replying ASAP this evening! Hope everyone's good and well :)

Ayyy thanks! I was trying to think of ways to take advantage of forum features to spice things up a bit ... the spoiler tag is definitely going to get more use in the future, but in a different kind of way. ;)

I think it would be - I actually thought about using it for my CS but chose differently in the end :P I guess great minds think alike! ;)
 
I want to respond but I feel like Juno and Amy struggling with serving the customers is too good of a scene to interrupt.
