Erin grew up in a nice household, they weren't too rich and they weren't too poor. Obviously, there were some fights. But what family doesn't fight once in awhile? Erin was diagnosed with synesthesia as a young child, it is a disorder in which the person diagnosed assigns colors to words naturally. For example, Monday is red and Thursday is yellow. This didn't really hold her back though. When Erin turned 18, she moved out of the house thinking she had found an apartment. But, the landlord decided to sell the apartment to another teen who was offering more money.

Erin didn't want to be a burden to her parents and go back, so she came to the boarding house which was significantly better than the apartment she had picked anyways.
