Smiling even though she feels awful for him Gen hugs him back tightly, rubbing his back reassuringly, a quiet "shh" being whispered over and over until Kira calms a little.


When she eventually speaks its soft, pleased she can make a difference for him. "Kira, don't be silly. You need not repay me nor thank me. Your more than welcome ok, not everyone in this cruel and vindictive world are like your family. Honestly, I don't know you, your a complete stranger but you seem nice, sweet. You don't deserve anything like the hand you've been given"

"N-no!" Kira insisted at her statement of him not needing to repay her kindness. It would be rude for him to take advantage for her kindness towards him and not do anything about it. "I-I must repay you somehow Gen-san!" he insisted once more, thinking that she would change her mind. He wouldn't want to be a slacker in someone else's home even though he's the only one in it. He wants to repay her kindness because she has helped him a lot already.
