On the Cult of the Illuminated

Lord Kamina

Not an engineer.
Sadly we don't have a Cult book yet for 2E, and the 1E book is written under the assumption that 1) Solar Exalts, 2) Bronze and Gold Factions notice 3) Gold distracts Bronze, 4) Solar is recruited and trained.

Now, I at least couldn't find any mention in the book of what would happen/has happened if/when a cult mortal were to receive Solar exaltation under some circumstance.

Has any of you done this in a chronicle? how have you handled it?

Well, depending on the cult, I guess he would significantly raise in rank.

Although it would certainly reinforces the influence of cult in the area.

"Look look, we got one of our cultist who has recieved the graces of the Sun God, you see we were right to pray to him !!!

Come one brothers and sisters, join the Cult with us and perhaps one day the Sun will smile upon you or your children !"

After that you can do anything, perhaps someone who was close to the newly exalted will betray him because he would be jealous, someone will fall in love with him while before he/she rejected him for being worthless... etc etc.

This whole Cult of the Illuminated is bound to turn into a clusterfuck of who's brainwashing who.

Sidereals: "You are the rightful lord of Creation!"

Solar: "Yes. Yes I am."

My ST is running a game where we start as heroic mortals and exalt as we go. My current character is a cult member and I'm hoping/planning to exalt as a lunar. I'll let you know how it goes.
