There's not too much selection, but somehow we are exactly the same apart from Dice.

Yeah, hehe! I wasn't exactly sure what dice was- it confuses me, so I decided to come back to that, if need be.

What's the best way to go about making a post that explains what I like in an Rp / look for in a partner, and then just sit back and add whoever replies? At least that's the system I was used to. D:

It's basically (I assume) Dungeons/Dragons style where you roll for outcomes.


IE: Roll to see if you succeed at an action, you need above 11 on a 20 sided die to not fail.
 
If you wish to make a One x One Rp, It's best to go about and make a Thread simply stating what your into, Various options on what you want to Rp and things like that.


This should be done in the Looking for partners section which can be found here. Looking For Partners (1 on 1) | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


If however you desire a group with a specific plot in mind, You can go down to the Interest check and post your idea. People will usually come by themselves and express interest if they want to join your Rp and what not.


Once you've worked everything out such as the Plot and people joining, You can go ahead and post the actual Rp on the Roleplay's section. Which is neatly divided between Genre's.


You'll also have the option to state whether it's Simple, Casual or Detailed. @Nimmie

Don't people prefer to move to a platform like Skype to Rp where you can reply quicker? I should include that in my post/title I guess? :D


I'll make a fancy post tomorrow, if I figure it all out.

Whilst Skype is a nice and fast Platform, It lacks a quick way to find fellow people and you usually have to go out on a limb and manually find people.


Sites such as Rpnation however, cater specifically to Rp by already having a massive community set out, Introductions and Rules, A much more laid out system { It's all divided between Out of character, Character profiles and so on} Sites such as this are also a bit more safe and lack the chance of meeting malicious users, Bots, Advertisements, Spam and all that.

But you're meant to use sites like this to find the people to then add on Skype for the best of both worlds?
 
I guess you could do that as well.


Some people might not be able to use Skype or something Like that, Or prefer to reserve it for Family members and things like that.


I think you'll find that people will be much more inclined to rp with you if you remained on Site rather than redirect them to Skype.


Feel free to do what makes you comfortable though!
