  armony is a privilege; the shadows maintain it.
  
  The supernatural population and humans have coexisted for centuries, this coexistence is dissonant at best. The debate of who is the predator and who is the prey is an ongoing matter between the two.
  
  Founded with the hopes of establishing peace, the Hunters Association consists of a little over five hundred members with organizations scattered across the globe.
  
  While nearly all the organizations have specific jurisdictions in relation to their location, the Hunters Association in America, which operates out of Miami, Florida, has a special faction comprised of Hunters with impressive rap sheets.
  
  Given the name Artemis, this diverse faction was granted international jurisdiction, they take on the task that other Hunters flee from.
  
  This journey follows the story of ten young Hunters whose lives become intertwined as they are all assigned to the same faction, meaning they live and work together.   They are one of the first to be selected to join the Artemis faction. It is rumored they have no powers because they’ve never been utilized in the field. They were once in a romantic relationship with The Achiever and are at odds with The Challenger.   The Helper was chosen to join Artemis due to their unique ability to teleport themselves and others to specific locations via portals as long as they have the longitude and latitude of that location, or have seen the area they wish to teleport to. One of the original three, they were once very close with The Investigator, but they had a falling out a year ago.

  The Investigator has the most experience in the field as a Hunter, they are well respected in the community despite being so young. The Investigator is a Telepath. They were once inseparable from The Helper, unfortunately, the two had a falling out. They are suspicious of The Loyalist, finding the junior hunter’s devotion to the original three odd.

  The Achiever joined the faction shortly after the original three, they knew The Unknown prior to them both becoming Hunters. The Achiever was once in a relationship with The Unknown but is now rather fond of The Reformer. They believe that the group should have a hierarchy like the other factions and that they should be the one in command. The Achiever can shift into any creature they have touched and while shifted they possess their physical attributes.

  The Loyalist is the only member of Artemis not to be selected by the faction director, they were chosen through a recommendation of their father, who is a retired Hunter and member of the Hunters Association’s board. The Loyalist is a summoner and has two familiars that it can call to assist them at any time. They favor the original three and aren’t on friendly terms with The Challenger.

  The Reformer was once a part of another faction along with The Individualist, the members of their former faction all died on a high-profile mission that’s details are unknown to the rest of the group. The Reformer has healing capabilities and is well-liked amongst the group.

  Nearly booted from the association, the Artemis faction was their means of redemption. They were in the same faction as The Reformer before joining Artemis and they do not speak of why they were almost cast aside from the association. The Individualist can create psychic constructs using psychic energy. They are not a fan of the Peacemaker, finding them to be the weakest link of the group.

  Joined the group two years ago with their cousin, The Peacemaker, they are used to working only with their cousin and so the adjustment to working with the Artemis faction is difficult for them. The Challenger possesses air elemental powers. They see The Unknown as beneath them, believing a powerless Hunter should not be in this faction.

  Much like The Helper, the Peacemaker is well-liked by the members of Artemis minus The Individualist who views them as a follower. Like their cousin they too have elemental powers (earth based), the two are polar opposites. They have developed quite a liking towards The Loyalist, whether or not the feelings are reciprocated is debatable.

  Please follow all of the general RPN rules. In terms of the in-character post, please try to interact with everyone, don’t continuously interact with the same individuals. I’m not asking you to post four times a week, I’m just asking for consistency. You’ll come to find out I’m pretty laid back when it comes to posting, but I’m not going to tolerate repeated cases of inactivity. If you go AWOL this will lead to the death or disappearance of your character.   As far as literacy goes, I’m less concerned about how much you can write and more worried about the structure of your writing. I’m looking for quality writing, quantity doesn’t matter. Basically, I want proper spelling, correct use of grammar, and tasteful writing. I want some diversity in this role-play, everyone can't be a bitch and everyone isn't going to be liked. Drama in the IC is highly encouraged. Wreak havoc, make a building explode, whatever you can think of. If you have an insanely awesome plot twist don’t hesitate to run it by me, let that creative mind run free. I would love to hear about any ideas you have, no idea is a bad idea. Hello all! Welcome to Of Monsters & Men, join us for the ride. This role-play is a mix of ideas that have finally been molded together into something I hope all will enjoy. The OOC will be on discord, I feel like the OOC flows better there. As mentioned above my co-GM is the lovely Uniko . When it comes to submitting your character please message the two of us so that we can go over your character together. If you like found-family-themed role-plays, love to just have fun, and want something with hints of action, adventure, and mayhem, then this is for you. I am open to answering any questions.
