Fantasy Of Darkness and Light(Vampire roleplay)

Father Adonias gives a stern nod,"Indeed we do, boy. Ezekiel believes the Valdis clan has come into the possession something troublesome." The sister shows concern,"What is it, Father? Tell us everything you have learned." A heavy sigh escapes the Priest,"He thinks they may have Lucifer's stone. If they do then all of humanity is in trouble."

Moriah feels a deep pit of dread form in her chest,"But I thought the stone was destroyed after the fall of Dracula!" Adonias shook his head firmly,"Not destroyed. Merely hidden."

Farator takes a deep breath. “Yeah… that would be a problem. This town could fall in mere days if they had it.” He seems very worried. “One of my old teachers also mentioned that another clan has been spotted in the city. We must be wary, but perhaps they will aid us in taking out Valdis.” He suggests, his gaze intense as he looks at Adonias’s lenses.

Moriah shakes her head,"Another clan in the city? Could it be survivors of the Erebus or Daegal clan, Father?" It's hard to tell where the Father's eyes are looking, but there was a strange air about him now. "I'm not sure, Sister, but if there's another clan we need to act fast. Ezekiel as told me the Valdis are taking refuge in an old castle outside of town, more towards the country side. We must stay sharp."

She gives a nod,"If we find the stone we have to destroy it. No vampire should harness that kind of power. With that stone they could easily grow their numbers and...demons will rise from hell as part of their army..." The nun begins to fiddle with her rosary. Adonias places a hand on her shoulder,"We won't let that happen, Sister Moriah."

Farator smiles, ever so slightly, upon seeing the Father’s reaction. “Oh I’m sure we won’t. The people of this city must be protected.” He says simply. “The stone must be found, and destroyed if possible.” He says firmly.

He glances back toward the church, hoping his brother will Be Alright, since he is now certain that the church has been infiltrated by at least one vampire.

The Priest adjusts the glasses on his face,"Not just the people of Annesburg, but all of humanity. It is our God given duty. I suggest we start preparations. Make sure your weapons are sharp and loaded, Sister. Mr. Black, I know you can handle yourself."

She takes a small breath and nods. This was a dire situation. The stone would grant immense power to the wielder and the ability to summon demons from Hell itself. She looks to Farator and can't hide her worry. Adonias clears his throat,"I'll be heading back to inn and get a plan started. As long as Sampsonbhas lived here he may more know about how to infiltrate that castle. You two be sure to stick together in this town." The Father gives a soft pat to Moriah's head and turns to Farator,"You take care of her now, Mr. Black."

Farator dips his head to him. “Of course. I assure you, I have every intention of keeping Sister Moriah safe.” He says, smiling a bit, turning to go. He glances at Moriah, wondering if he should tell her about her teacher.

Moriah fixes her veil after the Father's pat and smiles at him before he goes. She starts to walk with Farator and looks at people bustling. She observes the couples lovingly walking and giggling with eachother. She moves aside as children, carefree and at play run by. "Farator...I have to admit I am afraid. All those centuries ago when Dracula had the stone a whole country fell. I will not let that happen. All of these people already living in fea-"

She stops when she spots the pale blonde hair in the crowd. Ambrose stands in the large crowd, staring at them, a small grin on his face.

Farator has had his eyes fixed on Ambrose for a while now. “Mm. Letting an organized clan get it would be even worse than one individual.” He says calmly. “Shall we go say hello to our friend? I believe he has something he would like to speak to us about.”

The Sister bites her lip as she grows tense,"An invasion." She stares hard at the luminous blue eyes,"I doubt he will try anything in broad daylight, but then again..." She moves closer to Farator as they make their way over to the vampire. Ambrose gives a small bow at them before moving some of his hair from his face,"Fancy running into you two. You've seem to grow rather close. I can smell her blood in you."

He chuckles as the nun grows flustered.

Farator chuckles, putting his hand on her shoulder to try and reassure her. “Mm, it was a surprise for me too, cousin. Even with you doing your best impression of a schoolyard spymaster, she still chose to trust me. Father must be so proud of you.”

Ambrose folds his arms over his chest,"Like I would believe that! She's just under your spell, Fara!" He analyzes the Sister's honest expression and gives a small raise of his brow,"So it's true." He smirks,"Oh do you even know what you've done? You've tainted her." He gives a small lick of his lips,"Are you going to taint her some more?"

"Enough of this!" Moriah says with abruptness, "Why are you here?" Ambrose signals with his head for them walk to blend in with crowd. "I understand you maybe looking for something."

Farator growls lowly. “Some of us have the class not to resort to such tactics.” He says lowly, holding her close with one arm in a protective posture. Still, he walks with Ambrose. “I’m looking for a few things, actually. Which one are you referring to?” He asks, keeping himself between Moriah and his cousin.

Ambrose only gives a small huff,"Well I'm not going to fight my nature, cousin. There was a time when you didn't either." The vampire continues to walk with them and eyes a few of the buildings,"Just the one that could mean victory for our kind, cousin. I would think you'd be excited." He stops and looks at some fanciful garnished dresses in a tailor's shop window,"My aren't these beautiful. You ever think of wearing something other than those dusty old robes, Sister? I could get you one. What do you think, Farator? I bet you already got a peek at what's under there."

Farator grits his teeth. “Firstly, Ambrose, I don’t care if this is family territory, I can and will tear your black heart from your chest, city street or no.” He growls lowly. “Secondly, as you said earlier, being under the control of a more powerful vampire does not count as my own will.” He glances at the dresses. “But yes, they are beautiful. Perhaps something with a long sleeve and high collar might be a nice look on you.” He says, smiling reassuringly at Moriah. He isn’t actually afraid of Ambrose, he just hates him.

The blonde vampire looks at him and gives a dismissive wave,"Calm down, Connor, I was just kidding." The nun blushes at Farator's comment,"Oh such garments are a show of vanity. I must stay humble." Ambrose looks at Farator with a serious expression and he lowers his voice as he speaks,"Now, about the stone, I can tell you it's nearby. Father could feel it as soon as it was in town. Now exactly where it is, no one is sure. Just hope Father doesn't find it."

He begins to walk again. Moriah's gaze lingers on the dresses before she starts to follow,"Every record I have read about it says it was destroyed. Are you even sure it's actually the stone?" Ambrose shakes his head with a low chuckle,"Do you know just how many records or documents have been tampered or forged? You can't always trust what you read. It was long hidden away by a family that was loyal to Dracula, the Vermilion brood. They lived in the small, poverty stricken town of Concordia."

Moriah suddenly stops and has a look of shock on her face,"Vermilion? Concordia? That cannot be. That's where...that would mean that Elias..." Ambrose smirks,"What a coincidence! You know, Elias would always go on about a nun he was seeing." Tears begin to fill her eyes as she thinks back to that night and remembers how adamant he was on her leaving with him. He knew what was coming. The vampire tilts his head,"That blood of yours. So sweet and innocent. It's intoxicating you know? Like honey with ants."

Farator closes his eyes, and hugs Moriah. “Hey… I don’t know what’s happening, but we can talk about it with him, Alright?” He whispers. “Maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds.” He has to keep her safe, and that means keeping her calm right now. He will fight Elias to the death before he lets him harm Moriah, however.

Ambrose watches them with amusement,"Well isn't this sweet? It's too bad the Vermilion brood was wiped out all those years ago. They were so loyal and cunning. They were so involved with the town to divert any suspicion. You caused their fall, Sister. Elias was torn about his feelings for you. He took the stone that night and well, I'm sure you know the rest. I must say, Sister, you have a way about you." He laughs,"He wanted to destroy it because of you. He wanted a new life."

Moriah tries to hold back her tears and leans into Farator's hug,"He was so caring and genuine. I never realized it or maybe I just did not want to. I loved him..." She sniffles as Ambrose gives a small hum,"Love can make you blind." His blue eyes looks at Farator,"Connor, I suggest you take your woman and go or you two will surely die. War is in the air. With the stone resurfaced, vampires from all across the lands will be after it."

Farator holds her close, opening his eyes to look at Ambrose warily. “You and I have been trying to kill each other for some fifty years. Why the sudden interest in our safety?” He asks, rubbing Moriah’s back gently. He needs to get her back to her room, where she can be safe, but perhaps… just maybe, he can still save Ambrose.

A tiny sad smile appears on the vampire's face,"You forget that before those fifty years, we were good friends. That and it would get terribly boring without you around. The Vampire Lord that killed the Vermilions is very dangerous. He was a follower of Dracula that grew power hungry. Dracula sensed this and had him and his clan killed, or so we thought. We only knew he was alive after the attack. He's probably looking for the stone as well."

Moriah stays quiet as she hides her face in Farator's chest, still reeling over what she found out.

Farator takes a deep breath, before returning the smile. “Well then. Perhaps there is hope for you yet. Thank you for the warning, but we should get back. Farewell for now, old friend.” He says, gently guiding Moriah back toward the inn.

Ambrose ran some of his fingers through his hair,"Ha. That's having a little too much faith in me. I'll still kill you if I must." He watches as they walk away and gives a heavy sigh. He was abit rattled by the happenings of late. The reemergence of the stone was causing turmoil amongst The Valdis and the reminders of the other leaderless families. He only hoped the outcome wouldn't be the death of them all. He starts to make his way back to the ancient castle.

Moriah walks in silence with Farator. It was clear she was mulling over things in her head. She looks down at the purple beaded rosary that Elias had given her long ago. Their nightly outings and constant talks about her life in the church plays back in her memories. How did she not see it? When they reach the inn she looks at Farator,"Please do not be worried. I am fine."

Farator looks at her, nodding. “I am sorry.” He says softly. “It’s obvious that he meant a lot to you. Could you check on Jacob for me please? I need to speak to father Adonias alone, but I don’t think it would be wise to leave you alone now.”

She nods slowly, but smiles at him, "Like you he was who he was. I loved him all the same. There is nothing to be sorry about. Of course." She goes down the corridor to the Doctor's room.

The Priest lifts his head as knock sounds on his door. "Come in." He says with a rough tone. He's busy sharpening a knife and looks towards the footsteps he hears. The dark lenses gaze at Farator,"Ah, Mr. Black! What is it, son? Come to talk with me about tonight? Have you found anything out?"

Farator steps into the room, and closes the door behind him. “I got a lead on the stone.” He says softly. “Apparently Moriah knew a vampire who stole it. But it was the night her church was attacked, and another vampire took it, killing the man she loved.”

He sighs. “You found her just after that, didn’t you? Perhaps you were even tracking the vampire who took the stone.” He fixes his eyes hard on those dark lenses, his pupils dilating to turn his eyes pitch black. “How long are we going to keep pretending we don’t sense each other?”

The Priest only smiled as he slowly set the knife down. A glint of crimson could be seen behind the dark lenses,"I knew this would happen eventually. Took longer than I expected, being so distracted with Moriah." He leans back in his chair, his fangs crawling out from beneath his lips. "So, boy. What are you going to do now? I could easily kill you now or make you watch as I spill the luscious blood of that innocent girl. She tastes good doesn't she? I've been having her for years..."
