PROLOGUE: THE BLOODLINE MEMORIES

The Oculus Division is currently at contested territory, where they await the Nexus. The Division were still at camp in a forest near The Core where they await more heroes to come.Their orders were to wait for the people enlisted in the Division and introduce the plan.Altus, the leader of the Division was literally alone in the camp as he grew restless and stared at the campfire and a few vacant camps. It was night time,The Core was stable and untouched. His orders were not to touch The Core until a courier delivers a letter to him.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_11/57a8be6189ae7_images(39).jpg.3b18cd5301ff4b3bfb993b48003d4311.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="9154" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_11/57a8be6189ae7_images(39).jpg.3b18cd5301ff4b3bfb993b48003d4311.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Altus was lying down in a bed roll staring at the list of names he was holding:

Altus, here are the names of the people who enlisted for the war.

1.Theodor Stone

2.Signis Solomon

There will be more people to come...please wait...

He could not believe that there were only 2 people who joined the Division. He sighed and stood up lazily and placed the list in one of his armor's containers."Alright, time for camp watch..." he said as he stepped out of the camp feeling the breeze of coldness pass through him.He was completely alone in the camp, hearing whispers of the wind rushing his ears.He approached the road of the camp and waited for reinforcements.

(It can be better if Theodor and Signis would go together but It's your choice...)
(We seem to be lacking heroes...so I'll change it...some soldiers supported the Meridian War too...)
(For the Nexus Division,@Steven Rogers is in charge of the plans, camp, and etc.

Oh and here's the armor of the normal soldiers who will be supporting Oculus.For the Nexus,it's up to you Steven...)<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_11/57a8be618c68f_images(45).jpg.f1a90812d8d7f347506232329cc6d7d2.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="9155" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_11/57a8be618c68f_images(45).jpg.f1a90812d8d7f347506232329cc6d7d2.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

On the other side of the battlefield, Simeon takes watch over the Nexus campsite while the others slept. His numbers were few, the bodies of his men scattered the landscape. He mourned for the loss of his friends and family. The war only seemed to be destructive and of no use. But they had to fight. The Core has given them power.

To anyone, it seems, but Simeon. He led these Nexus soldiers for all these years, learning of the blessings the Core gave them and taking the initiative. He had none of his own. He became jealous and greedy, uncaring for the safety of what was left of the war, and left the campsite to seek the Core for himself.

The hours went by as Simeon quickly scanned the forest, looking for the slightest hint of power. At this point someone may have woken up and saw him missing. He didn't care. He was sick of waiting for his own power, and he wanted his greater than any other.

Soon Simeon came to a clearing lit by the stars in the sky, revealing a pedestal with a small sphere on it. The Core itself. The sight of it raised his adrenaline, further exciting his lustful motivation. Checking to see if no one is watching, he walks forward and puts his hands on the Core.

He screamed as his hands started to burn, his voice echoing through both camps.

Kathleena was resting in her tent of Nexus's territory. She arrived four days ago, the strange man had brought her here. She didn't care for the man all she cared about was her family. What seemed to be once like familiar bright smiles turned to fearful strangers, even though it has been about a year since she had seen them there fear stricken faces still haunted over her shoulder.

kathleena's eyes opened wide suddenly as she heard the scream echo in her ears. She quickly sat up in the thin uncomfortable layer of blankets and made her way out of the tent. Who was supposed to be on guard again? Kathleena asked herself this as she looked around the campsite. Others seemed to not act quickly as her, they were all tired and just came out of their tents as she got on one of the horses (Not sure if they have horses ^.^'' sorry). Soon Kathleena got closer and closer to the sound of the scream, she looked around the forest quickly trying to find the source.

The horse came to a halt, it acted as if it was scared. Kathleena tried to calm the horse down but since she scared a lot of animals that was hard but the animal wasn't scared of her, it feared the power of the core. Kathleena looked out into the distance and saw a man, Simeon, touching the core. Kathleena quickly tied the horse to a branch and hurried towards Simeon. She then halted herself. What was she supposed to do? The core was powerful and Simeon obviously tried to take the power that didn't belong to him. (Again sorry if this post is lacking something an if it's not good at all ^.^'')

(Thanks for early posts!)

Altus was stylishly playing with his dagger. His dark blue cloak waving with the wind as he heard the wind's whispers again. While his dagger was completely stable and standing on his finger, the other dagger was being spun by his other hand on his back.Completely bored but on guard,he barely saw a flash. The shadow of the flash seemed to be like a pedestal with...The Core?! In this moment,Altus quickly packed his two daggers on his hands. On the right hand was a dagger facing upwards,on the other, the dagger was downwards.

He sprinted quickly in the dead night leaving no trace or sound. While his boots were muffled and his body in the shadows of the forest,he was invisible. Before he can check what was happening,he heard...horses.The grinding of the hooves marching straight towards him behind shocked him.He turned his head to see what was happening at the camp, and in relief, some soldiers have arrived. It was about 20 soldiers with packs of food, weapons and more.Unfortunately, the people on the list hadn't arrived yet.

Altus was yards away from the soldiers and the camp,he was invisible.Obviously,he couldn't just leave the core and shout.Luckily,he has throwing knives. This way,he can get their attention. The soldiers seemed to be scratching their head.Probably because Altus wasn't there to see them. With adrenaline rushing,he took an aim for the campfire, and in no second,he threw a knife directly hitting the campfire, making it react wildly. The soldiers too was shocked and turned their attention to the forest, then they saw their leader,Altus.

Once he got their attention,he began giving hand signals. He raised his right hand showing 4 fingers, then, his hand showed one finger pointing to the ground, after that,a gesture telling them to come here.In other words,he wanted 4 soldiers staying on low profile and come to his position. They moved steadily and eventually came to him.One of the soldiers gave Altus his bow.He took the bow and quiver kindly,"Good evening sunshine..." he said to his bow as he quickly turned to focus on the pedestal.

Altus moved quickly at the edge of the forest, the soldiers followed.Once they completely saw the pedestal and The Core, they also saw...Nexus!

The enemy seemed to be alone,he might be a bait...it might be an ambush. He closed his eyes and concentrated with the shadows,it revealed nothing but the cold night and the enemy. His theory was proved, the enemy was alone. He raised his hand again with open fingers, ordering them to halt.He cleared his eyes and watched what the enemy was doing. And after seconds of waiting...the enemy met his true faith....

...the enemy's hand burned as another one approaches him.Altus realized the whole Nexus Division arrived, this is not going to work out well. But Altus had no choice...he has to defend the core with his strength. He turned to face the soldiers,"Stay here,I'll take care of this..." he said. After that he slid down the edge of the forest, his back steadily sliding down the platform, his bow aiming at the enemy's burning hand. And then,he released the arrow. It glided swiftly through the air and into the enemy's burning hand.

With the attack,Altus was visible. He introduced himself to the enemy ready to fight with his daggers in their normal hand pose.He walked quietly and slowly...approaching the enemies.

Kathleena was pushing back her hair worrying and wondering what she was supposed to do. Simeon left the campsite to go after the core himself! It was a completely selfish, greedy, and not well thought out plan. She should of left the power driven man out to dry but she knew she couldn't do that. She took a few steps forward towards Simeon but froze when a mysterious arrow hit Simeon's hand. The enemy.

Kathleena shook her head slightly as she pulled out a fairly small mace from her satchel that was placed near her hip. "Damn it..Damn it.." Kathleena spoke softly to herself as she tried to back away slowly. Her eyes darted around the slightly dark area, trying to find an escape route for later The horse she tied up earlier was a distance away from her. That would be her only way out. She wondered when the other soldiers would be arriving, it didn't look good for her right now and it definitely didn't look good for Simeon. Kathleena attempted to draw herself back into the dark so she wouldn't be spotted though she had her doubts on not being detected by the enemy.

Altus saw the woman back away from the dark.Thinking she wouldn't be seen.In this state, the woman is completely invisible to anybody, even to Altus. He stopped walking and was about 3 meters away from the man who burned his hand. The woman was completely in the dark, the best hitting spot for him.So he concentrated all his energy, draining little adrenaline to dash himself behind the woman. He was surprised that his head was hit by hard bang, forcing himself to tilt his head and end the progress of "shadowing".This was new,he never encountered something like this. All his years, his skills had never failed him.He is just facing a woman, why stop?

He began to think...bringing a flashback in his early days in the military.Something that was about dark forces. One of his friends had told him that his skills would not work if he is facing another enemy that controls the dark. The woman seemed to be...clean.Nothing really dark about her.Obviously, there is something dark about the woman. But what? The streak of questions distracted him.Forcing him to put himself in the fight again and shake his head.He had to do this manually.Fortunately, the shadow is his friend so he can easily find the woman. He couldn't risk to let anybody leave the fight and report back.

Ignoring the man burning himself,he teleported himself in some place filled with shadows, just behind the woman.Luckily,it worked. He stayed there as he watched the woman.Crouched and prone,he scanned the area,he spotted the camp of the Nexus Division. He was in enemy territory. But no matter, the decisions made him think as he saw some ordinary soldiers in the enemy camp."How nice of you to leave your camp defenseless..." he said quietly with a smirk. This was going to be easy...

His decision was made, weak ones first. In a split-second,he unleashed Riven's Fog around the enemy camp. With this,he stabbed each and every one outside their tents with Riven's Sprint. After 10 seconds, the dark fog faded away.Altus made his way in a forest near the enemy camp, planning for his next attack.

(Yes,we can kill ordinary people...)

((Too many long posts to read -_- ))

Simeon buried his burning hands in his pits, hoping to suppress the pain and the blood emerging from them. He wished he didn't scream so loud, someone would notice him. Someone like... Oculus. He quickly tore off parts of his fur and pressed it around the new holes in his hands, perfectly circular yet bloody.

Footsteps approached. To his dismay, Simeon saw a band of Oculus soldiers, undoubtedly they heard his cry. He looked at this hands. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" he cursed the Core. The soldiers looked at him, unsure if they should kill him. He heard a quiet, familiar voice, not supposed to be heard. Altus. He would kill him the first chance he would get, knowing that he was their enemy's leader. Facing the direction of the voice he begged, "Care to spare an old friend's life?"

More footsteps approached behind him, and a large group of Nexus soldiers appeared, ready to defend their leader. "What were you thinking?" one of them said to him, followed by murmurs of agreement. "No time, stand down," he told them. He faced the direction of the voice, expecting an ambush. At the slightest sound he didn't like, he would move. It won't be easy. His hands still flared with pain.

The sound of a bow drawn alerted him. He slid to the right, hoping to dodge the attack, but the arrow pierced his hand, enlarging the pain. He felt too weak to scream or move and fainted.

((Oh @ProxCnC the Ahaz family power isn't known until Rueben's time. I said so in my charrie description.))

Altus watched as the more enemies came to the Core with Simeon, his old friend.Simeon told them to...stand down? What was Simeon thinking? He moved out of cover slowly and into the enemy camp then behind Simeon and the enemies,"Stand down? Well I suppose that we might be looking for an agreement then...yes?" he said as he stepped into the shadows and confronted them.

He looked at Simeon's hands now with holes.Altus was lucky not to touch the Core else he would have been the same with Simeon,"Hmph..Looks like I now know the reason why not to touch the Core..." he said sarcastically.Altus picked up the arrow he used to hit Simeon earlier. He walked 1 meter away from them and twisted his foot to face them. With an arrow in his hand,he darted it into one of the enemy's foot with a direct hit that passed through the foot and into the ground, making the enemy snared."This is our territory...and if you agree to this offer,I'll see to it that we will spare your lives..." he said.

((Um, my previous post was set right before the arrow hit Simeon's hand. Not necessarily in chronological order. Might wanna edit/delete that previous post.))

((Everyone forgot about this or something... Maybe they're tired with their ancestor? We could have the Core disappear now if you want. I have a plot for that.))

(( You seem to be reasonable.I say you're promoted to a moderator! Yes,start the first post.I'll try to message all our characters if they still want to role play ))

Simeon awoke laying on the ground near the Core, surrounded by Oculus soldiers and only a few comrades of his own. His army was about to be overran. Finding the strength to stand, he hears an order to surrender the territory he was in by Altus. Yes, normally in this situation it was best to surrender, but to give up the Core itself? He found it hard to yield something infinite, pulsing with energy. From the corner of his eye he saw it as active as ever, glowing a brilliant white.

"Jarlene, report. What happened while I was out?" he spoke to a woman with a bow on her back. ((Note: Jarlene's an NPC.))

"Half our camp has been destroyed," came a dismal reply, "and from the looks of the damage I fear this won't be their last victory if we continue to fight."

Simeon's reaction was immediate. "We surrender," became the official last words of the Meridian War.

Almost as if on cue, the Core let out its largest pulse of energy yet, and everyone around it was knocked backward. Simeon rose more slowly than before, and looked at the cause of the destruction. "THE CORE!" At the center of the clearing it had vanished, along with its pedestal. Simeon only stared at it in shock. The sound of tearing lumber broke his concentration. "GET OUTTA HERE, NOW!" he yelled to his soldiers. Using the last of his strength, he managed to sprint across a collapsing forest about to bury the very spot the Core stood on. He dove just to barely avoid a spruce tree crush his head. A pile of trees laid behind him. He wondered who also survived.

Altus quickly rolled away from the ambushing woods. His head almost hit by a sharp branch as it glided over himself.Adrenaline purging, eyes were quick as the wind,he spotted only 3 of his men scattered.Luckily, they were stable and calm. His first priority was to take all his men to safety. So he walked closer to his 3 men in one area where there was complete fog.Branches were falling from the sky, leaves slid over his armor.

The sounds of his squad's coughing eventually turned into somewhat of a loud scream. As he got closer,he saw his 3 men stable. What was the scream? He tried finding the scream's origin before talking to his men."Help! Help me!" the sound was near.Familiarizing,it was one of his men,Cave. He rushed into him with no doubt, the figure of Cave seemed to be crushed by a large tree.No wonder.

Altus deepened his hands into tree as he pushed it away from Cave.Luckily,he scooted it off quickly from him."You alright?" he said as he tilted his head to Cave."Yeah.My waist kinda hurts, but I'm fine." Cave replied.Altus patted his back while pulling him up.

Minutes passed until his squad and him finally reached the camp. And at the sight of it,the camp was destroyed,no survivors.Unfortunately, there was no way out.Since all the trees covered the whole place...
