im alive. writing a lot of different stuff.... ( might include lyrics for Kurt custom song's.... I don't know why I have the habit of making up song lyrics for any of my characters that are musicians but it is a habit I kinda enjoy. even though I haven't played any instruments for years now. even though I used too.)

I have two character concepts that Im still deciding between
I think I'll check the other potential CSes to help me decide which would be the most unique

Doing juuuust fine, myself. Been browsing new (to me anyways) music while watching incremental games...increment, and all that stuff that they do.

Anything I find! If you ignore enough popular videos youtube can actually go back to recommending weird and niche channels. That, and the random queue after finishing a playlist in spotify are my two main sources of new music.

I end up going back to music that I haven't heard in years. Youtube's algorithm is a strange thing. It works well a lot of the time. But then when you're looking for something. It'll be like "This does not exist." Then a week later that exact thing is there in your search tab. I swear youtube will reality glitch on you.

Yup, that happens too. It's a bit of a game of chance, but if I'll be sitting down and listening to music anyways, not in the mood for anything in particular, trying my luck at finding new songs isn't bad.
Sometimes I also remember to do the discover weekly on spotify, although most of the time it just throws songs I knew of that I never thought to look for in there, rather than brand new ones I end up liking.

I remember Spotify did that with me too. Several bands I never even thought of looking at before popped up and I found some I really liked. That's how I found On My Honor initially.

The other day it just started playing Soul Eater's 1st opening, Resonance. Out of nowhere. In between Devil Trigger and a RetBear song.

nah PaperMoon is superior at least for me when it comes to soul eater openings.
but it might be biased on my side since it and Core Pride an opening for Ao No Exorcist, were the two songs I learned with my band to play and sometimes played at gigs (of course in English, no way in hell anyone of us was good enough to sing in Japanese, though we could somewhat read it and speak it.)
From there the only anime/cartoon/weaboo, songs we added were other Soul Eater, Ao No Exorcist songs and RWBY soundtracks...
I still hate myself for choosing core pride.. sure I normally played the bass in the band but I was switch with the drummer. (since both of us knew how to play drums and bass, though he had different styles so we would switch on different songs.)
So and I was the dedicated drummer for Core Pride... and usually after that we played PaperMoon for some reason but I played bass for that song. so quickly switching between the drums and bass was a pain.

Hahah, a quick search and just the intro let me know why it might be a regretful choice of song if you're the designated drummer.
It still sounds like a nice time though! I still hold hopes of being able to learn piano someday, somehow. Even if it's just to play for myself.
Hard to do when you don't have one...is all, haha.

i mean i learned how to play the drums, literally on buckets and old metal trashcans, with literal sticks as drum sticks. though yeah finding a piano analog would be hard.
maybe try some public library or community center, at least were I live some of them have pianos for the public, though they might not be grand pianos but the far more compact one, acoustic pianos, that's the name.

and I learned how to play the bass after finding a broken up and gutted bass in an abandoned building I was going to, to make practice grafitti. still have that gutted bass guitar with me. though I had to change the strings.

There's unfortunately not that many places like that around here, on both acocunts (public spaces w/ instruments, or abandoned buildings to rummage safely.)
I did once try to get the uni I was attending at the time to get a music room and hold classes, but they said I'd need a ton of signatures for them to consider it, and it never got any traction when I tried it. Oh well, someday!

Hello, yโ€™all! Happy page 17! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Sorry about my absence. Iโ€™ve been hyperfocused on endgame Veilguard gameplay. It has me in a chokehold.

I love Dragon Age but I heard that one's catching mad hate.
Same! I grew up with Dragon Age. I love Veilguard! It's so good!

A lot of the hate is from bigots complaining about the trans and nonbinary representation in the game. (Your Rook can be trans/or nonbinary. One of the romance options is nonbinary too.)

(They like to complain as if they're being forced to choose the queer option when they don't have to. It's a CHOICE for a reason. ๐Ÿ™„)

If there's other hate, I haven't seen it yet. I tend to scroll when I see a person complain about the game. I don't have the energy to listen to their rants.

From a storyteller perspective, I like it. I'm biased so I can't provide a thorough analysis. The combat mechanics is good. It's been awhile since I played the older games so I can't compare them from the top of my head.

I remember Dragon Age as one of the first games to make mages look royally bad ass. Their staff motions being similar to bo staff/pole arm motions. Rather than "Woe! Spell be upon ye, knave!" I wish more games made combat magic that way.
