Schyven
Just another roleplayer
She sighed heavily, her cheerful mood turning sour in her mouth. With the rays of the afternoon sun dimly illuminating her room, she examined the small letter in her hands, reading and rereading the fine cursive that decorated its front. After about the umpteenth time, she tossed the white envelope onto her desk with a huff and leaned back in her chair, arms folding neatly across her chest as she wordlessly shot the letter a cold glare.
When she had opened her mailbox and find it sitting on top of the usual flyers and notices, Soren honestly didn’t know what to expect. Ever since she moved out of her stuffy home, it has been eons since she heard from her family--And she preferred it that way. Had the tacky family crest, stamped into the blood red wax seal (Because, of course it was), hadn’t been right in front of her, she would’ve believed this was all some sick prank.
‘What could they possibly want from me after all these years?’ she asked herself.
Soren glanced at her wrist, reading the time on her watch and cursing softly under her breath. Figured she would allow herself to let a silly letter rattle her. She did a quick mental check to remind herself of her classes. Only one to account for, and that wasn’t for a few hours now. Shaking her head, she reached for her cane and slowly rose to her feet. She needed to clear her head and sort her emotions before she opened the damned thing.
As she stepped away from her desk, she shrugged on a light jacket and grabbed her fedora. She could really use some fresh air right now. After securing her hat onto her head, she stepped out of her room.
