Proverbs 17:9
The Doctor
"Hang on, that's interesting," the Time Lord said as two men appeared from seemingly...nowhere. He brandished his hand, waved it around for a few seconds and then studied empty air for a second, hunched over his hand and muttering "Come on, where's the reading, where's the-oh." As if he just realized his hand was empty, the Doctor abruptly straightened and stuffed his hands back in his pockets. "Right. No sonic, no measurement, no way to detect temporal or spatial anomalies. Well, not without about sixty meters of USD cords, two laptops, a 1997 Geo Metro, one of your...ah...Direct TV dishes I think they're called and a dozen Jammy Dodgers."
"Did you say portal gun?" the Doctor said a moment later, as his brain caught up with what Rick and Morty were saying to each other. "Someone came up with a marvelous method for hopping about between points in space and thought 'Hold it, wouldn't this be better if it were a gun'? Oh. Oh! I'm stupid, of course!" The youthful man in a suit made his ridiculous hair flop about when he bonked himself in the forehead with a palm. "I'm in America."
"You're in Eagle Pines, California, the United States, Earth, Mutter's Spiral circa October of 2017 in the Common Era, or thenabouts," the Doctor said to Rick's last few sentences. "And no. My marvelous machine got lost on the way as well, which begs the question why everyone here seems to know about it or me." Looking a bit put out, the Doctor raises an eyebrow and asks "So, who are you when you're at home?"
