  Nothing ever happens at Bellvern beach. Like any other small beach town, the entire appeal of the place is it's nothingness and cheap attractions. City folk love that sort of thing, right? Besides, the locals are super duper fun too! They're not totally bored with their day to day life as a tourist attraction.
  
  Anyway...
  
  In Bellvern, there's really only one occurrence that the local teens look forward to. Every summer, a local organization hosts their annual surfing and summer camp. Known as the 'Black Rock Surfing Co.,' tourists absolutely love sending their bored kids out to some random beach to have them learn to swim and play mini-golf. For the local residents of Bellvern, it's an opportunity to be a counselor and actually meet new people. (Because no one ever new joins the class, let's be real.)
  
  This year is a little weirder, however...
  
  When a local friend-group manages to get themselves in as the newest counselors, they find themselves in a particularly odd circumstance. Windows blow open at night, wet foot prints are found leading out the cabins, and the entire cafeteria stinks like seaweed. Either someone is pulling an elaborate prank, or something fishy is going on.
  
  It doesn't help that a new group of teens from out of town have come to 'learn' the art of surfing as well. It's like they've never been anywhere in their life, with each and every one of them fascinated by the daily life at camp. They also all suck at surfing.
  
  Yeah, something is definitely up at the Black Rock Surfing Co.

  Hey y'all! With a lot in the world stressing everyone out at the moment, I wanted to try and make a more relaxing RP for a chance of pace! This RP will follow a group of counselors at their local surf camp trying to figure out why the new group of campers are so weird. If you haven't guessed already, the new group of campers aren't exactly from out of town, but in fact the ocean. A group of mermaids and mermen coming up to the land to enjoy their own summer, while becoming fascinated with the human world. While they try and avoid suspicion, the counselors begin to hang around them more and more and shenanigans ensure.

  RULE 1. As always, follow RPN rules. In every RP I've been in, this has never been an issue, but I always like to state it first!
  
  RULE 2. This is not first come, first serve! I will be hosting applications for people to apply for what character they want. At the end of the application period, I will be picking most likely eight players to join the RP. For now, one character per applicant.
  
  RULE 3. Although this is a bit of a sillier RP, literacy is still expected. That means several paragraphs per post. Not every post needs to be 1000+ words, but understand that there is an expectation to have generally longer posts.
  
  RULE 4. Aim for one post a week! I understand that life gets in the way, but just tell me ahead of time and we should all be good! If you do vanish without a word and don't respond to any messages, I will remove you from the RP. 1) Do all the merpeople know each other?
2) Are there gonna be different 'races' of merpeople? Or what kind of merpeople are you looking for? (since I am sure every person has an own view on what a merman/mermaid is)
3) Will merpeople have magic beyond their ability to transform their tail to legs?
4) Are you gonna make a discord for the OOC?
5) Will it be realistic faceclaims?

Sorry for the many questions, but I just wanna make sure what I am getting into. But I really love the idea so far^^
