Here's my character as an example :

The Prophet

William is known for his sharp mind, but also for the cane he has to carry. This tall man's wiry figure is a testament to the muscles he used to have in his youth. His left leg is frozen solid, a bad reminder of one of the criminal he put away during his golden years as an investigator. He looks almost ten years older than he is. His face is either crunched in worry or thoroughly peaceful.

Among the force, William is known for his lack of humour and peaceful attitude. To the common man, his sighs and groans might make them believe that he doesn't care about the job or the squad. The truth is, he cares a lot, and is merely wary of the dangers he exposes his coworkers to.

NAME: Doctor Frederick Bramley

❝ Physically, Frederick is much smaller than expected. He stands at 168cm with dull blue eyes and similarly dull blonde hair. His smaller appearance made him the top candidate for the spot of a local physician while training under his mention. And despite his position, Frederick was known for having very little to say. He had a tendency to lean more toward the awkward side when speaking to living humans and often preferred bodies post-mortem. Many of his colleagues (and patients) were put off by this and would claim he had some sort of grey aura surrounding him. All and all, Frederick is diligent in his work. He's careful and observant, which makes him highly regarded amongst his peers. He's quiet to the outside eye but upon closer investigation, is delirious and enjoys conversation with the dead.

❝ Being a member of the team gave Frederick an opportunity to stray away from the typical surroundings of his local occupation, and do something greater (more of an excuse to practice his skills outside of the living). Of course, he gains a sense of pride from uncovering truths.

Erskine appears, at least on the surface, like a kind and knowledgeable adolescent; which he very much is. But he's also an eccentric mess of superstition and conspiracy. He always throws salt over his shoulder after spilling it, never walks under ladders, and God forbid you break a mirror with him in the room.

For years Erskine felt alone in this mentality. The arcane and occult seemed like something only he truly believed. That was until he moved to England and found an agency that investigated the matters he knew weren't just make believe. They told him he was needed; which is something he's never not grateful for.

A glint in those dark eyes; always watching, evaluating, scanning. A pen scibbling away in her damned notepad. Most likely a cigarette dangling from the corner of her mouth, a smirk pulling up at the other side. That fedora off kilter, then straightened and snugged. The woman is a straight shooter, witty, chummy and clever. Yet being from a very bad side of town, she's a toughie and always has a barb, quip or reaction ready... except when she's not ready. That usually means she's on the sauce again. Alcoholism has ruined many a good thing going for her.​

Being abandoned as a child has always made her appreciate and reciprocate the loyalty she is shown. Once she found out she was not alone in knowing, and more importantly, seeing the things go bump in the night, she found a new lease on life and was there for it in full. And bonus; sometimes doing this gig, you get to go to a dance party, fancy up, and meet some spry, sexy birdies too! ​

  Clyde's height is about 185 centimeters (6'0). He has an athletic yet average build and dark hair. His eyes are dark brown and his skin is pale. He can easily get a sunburn if out in the sun for too long.

  Divorce weighs heavily on all parties involved in it. For Clyde, it was the looming cloud of regret and guilt he had for being one of the main reasons the marriage crumbled. He wasn't always a man that cared for others or treated them with kindness right off the bat. He used to be cruel and dismissive, a man who people couldn't quite understand what was going on in that thick head of his. He used to get wasted at the local bars after work just to feel something and would come back home only to pass out on the couch and start the cycle over again. He's been trying to get his act together since the separation for the sake of his daughter.
  
  Nowadays, Clyde is usually a laid-back and relaxed man. He's taken a promotion to chief inspector since his old friend had retired. Clyde takes his job seriously and usually deals with petty thievery and missing person claims. He always has a cigarette on him somewhere at all times to calm himself, or a cup of coffee with a bit of bourbon (the only time he drinks) poured into it. He tends to not smoke around his daughter, wanting to be a better role model for her. If you were to ask Clyde what his ambitions were now it would most likely include his daughter. His life evolves around his daughter. Everything he does, he does for her.
