ok demons are still within the city. But as long as the ward is up they cannot leave.
I also need to explain a few things.
You cannot teleport in or out of the city walls of godenview. Otherwise they could just drop a demonlord in and game over.
Next. Goldenview is stupidly dangerous, there are five humans there with demon lord level power, and that isnt counting the humans, in addition all the guards have means of detecting demons and magic. It's not enough to shapeshift and try to hide in plain sight, you have to be sneaky, stay out of sight. And know who you are talking to before you speak to them.

If that's the case, William best better leave as soon as possible.
He'll head straight abroad, but I have to ask where are the possible places to go. Are there any nearby towns or villages?
There would be, but pretty low chance. Most have been burnt to the ground and trampled over by demons. It would be rare to see as Goldenview is generally the 'refugee' camp if you want to put it that way.

Yes, yes she did. The guards would have also informed the King about it, so one way or another, people gonna find out.

OOC I think he's great, got some intereting personalty to him! Refinement, I don't think he needs any. IC wise, I hate him.

Ah, put some heart into the guy. I based him a particularly evil villain I read from a novel but added some major changes. It's enough to make him a different person but he shares some characteristics with the original character I based him on.
Anyways, I was just asking for feedback. I frequently have some doubts about my characters so any comment on them is appreciated.

Well I believe there would be quite a few villages and cities (albeit much smaller) around Goldenview due to the whole area being relatively unaffected the lack of demon activity there (because of the lack of magic). So I'd say there'd be plenty of places to go to, but you will find some of them being raided (or you will find Marx raining death and hellfire onto many settlements in his path, he's blazing a trail straight for Goldenview). Of course there'll be less people because a lot have fled for Goldenview, but there might be some resistance here and there. It just means there's less to stop you from pillaging and taking their supplies if you so choose. @Heisenberg

William IS the type of person to go on pillaging. But he's also fond of recruiting people, and that takes a measure of good publicity. So he'll do a mix of pillaging and recruiting. Never pillaging unless he can justify it and recruiting at every outpost he can find.
This will have to do for now, the princess is likely to go kick his ass if he stays around Goldenview any longer. William is only staying in the hopes that word hasn't spread of his massacre of the guards and peasants. He's only there to do a checkup. Problem is that this decision may be a fatal mistake, especially if he's surrounded by heroes that'll kill him and his army in a jiffy.
Well, on the consideration he's probably lost men from the guards fighting back and the demons that just came, it probably wasn't the best >.< But yes, the princess would kick his ass very hard.

Then he'd try to kick some dust into her eyes and run away.
