Hi! My name is Uni (he/him). Welcome to my search thread! If you’re looking for a long-term partner who wants to collaborate on the story and world, then you’re in the right place.
ABOUT ME:
- I'm 23, and I’m currently a university student.
- LGBTQ+ friendly.
- In my free time, I like to play tabletop roleplaying games (D&D, Pathfinder, LANCER), video games, watch movies, TV shows, some anime here and there, and read.
- I’ve got about 10 or 11 years of roleplaying experience.
- My writing length varies, but on average it’s around 500-700 words. I can write more or less, depending on the partner’s preferences, as well as my own want to write more or less.
- I usually write in 3rd person, past tense. This isn’t a requirement for me, though.
- I don’t like doubling.
- I don’t play canon characters. I’m happy to roleplay in an established universe, though! I will write and add side-characters when needed as well!
- I’m okay with roleplaying through PMs, a thread, using GDocs or DC. If your preferred platform isn’t listed, as long as it’s not too difficult to learn how to use, I’m game!
- Romance isn’t a requirement for me. If it is going to be part of the roleplay, the only pairing I have any experience writing in is MxF (playing a male in the pairing), so it’s the one I’m most comfortable with.
- My favorite color is pink. It's lovely.
- If we are going to use images for characters, I’d prefer to use drawn pictures, anime included. I’m also no stranger to descriptions!
EXPECTATIONS (I THINK THAT’S A GOOD WORD FOR THIS SECTION):
- 18+. Non-negotiable. I'd also prefer if my partner was closer to my age as well!
- Someone who can write detailed posts. Length is subjective and up to the writer, but I do want something with substance. One-liners or particularly small posts will get me bored fast as there just won’t be much to work with.
- OOC chatter is important to me. Whether that’s talking about plots, characters, sharing music, or just talking about whatever. I’d like to make friends! So feel free to chat me up if you want.
- Please, be patient! I’m willing to wait days if I know that something is up on your end, so allow me the same courtesy. Life happens, you never know what will fall on your lap. Again, OOC communication is key!
- Not ghost friendly. I understand if you lose interest, or need to focus on life. No hard feelings! Any reason is better than none.
- When it comes to response times, I usually respond once every day or two, sometimes multiple times a day if I’m not busy. If anything prevents me from doing that, I will notify you!
- Absolutely no AI. Not in text form, nor image form, nor audio form.
- I’d like it if we both were putting our ideas into the roleplay, and not just one person driving the story. Brainstorm together! Let me know what you’d like to see, explore or have happen! Share ideas!
- Dark themes aren’t anything I shy away from, but I do need nuance to them. Traumatic events need to be treated with the respect they deserve. I don’t have any particular hard lines, but let’s discuss things so we’re both on the same page.
STUFF I’D LIKE TO ROLEPLAY IN (AKA FANDOMS):
A “+” means I’m extra interested in a roleplay set in this universe at the moment. “++” means I’m extra, EXTRA interested.
The list is likely incomplete as these are just the ones that came into my mind when writing it. I'm also open to changing things within these universes for the roleplay, or writing in AUs. So, if there’s something you’d like to suggest, please do! I like a lot of things. I also put the list in alphabetical order for ease of reading through if you're looking for something specific.
Armored Core.
Borderlands.
Bloodborne. ++
DC.
Destiny. (Mostly familiar with 2)
D&D. ++
Elden Ring.
Fallout.
Gundam. ++ (UC or non-UC timelines. Could make our own as well!)
Grim Dawn.
Helldivers 1 and 2. +
Hotline Miami.
Invincible. + (I watched the show, but have not read the comics)
Kamen Rider. ++
LANCER. +
Marvel.
Monster Hunter. +
My Hero Academia.
Pathfinder. ++
PAYDAY.
Persona 3, 4, and 5. +
RWBY. ++
Starbound.
Star Wars.
Terraria.
The Powder Mage book series. + (Though, I’ve only read the original trilogy!)
MORE GENERALIZED LIST OF GENRES I LIKE:
A “+” means I wouldn’t mind including this element in the roleplay. A “++” means I like this element, broadly speaking. A “+++” means I would prefer to include this element. However, these are generalized, so not definitive. The list is also most likely incomplete, these are just the ones that popped into my head.
Apocalypse scenario. ++ (Maybe not zombies?)
Sci-fi. +++
Fantasy. +++
Dystopia scenario. +
Horror. +
Military. ++
Medieval. ++
Modern. ++
Future. +
Superpowers. +++
TROPES FOR PAIRINGS I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:
Enemies to lovers;
Rivals to lovers;
Childhood friends;
Soulmates.
If you have a plot or setting you’d like to explore, feel free to share! I’m not bound to either the fandoms or genres I listed!
JUST MORE STUFF I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHERE TO PUT:
- Sci-fi and fantasy are my bread and butter, not necessarily in combination. I love both equally.
- I really, really, REALLY like some sort of ‘power system’ to be part of the roleplay. Think superheroes. It’s not always a requirement, but it does tend to spice things up in my experience.
- Want to be angsty? Dramatic? Maybe even overdramatic? Hell yes, put it in the roleplay, boss. I’ll follow.
- I like world-building as much as the next guy, as well as exploring characters. Monologues, thought processes, all of that jazz is lovely.
- SoL (Slice of Life) is something I do welcome, but it can’t be the focus. Sometimes you do want your characters to just take a break and go shopping, and I agree, but I do want to return to the story at hand after a while.
I think that’s it? Should you decide to reach out, please send a PM instead of replying to the thread! Tell me a little about yourself and what kind of roleplay you might be interested in. Also, please make sure to include your favorite song in your PM so I know you read things carefully. You can also ask for my DC nickname if you'd rather move things there.
Thank you for taking the time to read the thread! That's nice of you! Have a good day. Or night.
