- One on One

. . .
The land stretched on for miles, unpredictable and unfamiliar. An inescapable world surrounded by an endless sea. Sailors spread rumor that if you stray too far from land, your ship will fall off of the edge of the realm. Travelers often find themselves falling into the land of Leodraven with no means of finding their way back to the life they once knew.
Dark clouds loomed above, almost like a curtain waiting to be drawn. Eager, but not yet ready to reveal the sun to the dreary lands below. The thick fog swam between the trees of the forest, swallowing everything in it's reach. It was near impossible to see even the grass you tread upon.
Whether it was the darkness of the dim woods or the blur of the fog, either way, fate spurred the two people to crash into each other that evening. Two weary souls, having found themselves lost in Leodraven without the slightest idea of how they got there. Fearful, they each wander through the Ivorstead Woods, unfortunate enough to have ended up in the eeriest part of the realm. Yet lucky enough to have found each other.
. . .
Now having found a companion in the same predicament, the two souls must first find their way out of the forest. The Ivorstead Woods leads to two different towns, the closer one being Ivorstead, a haunting village that always seems draped in fog. It was as if Ivorstead itself was the source of it, filling up the surrounding forest with its dreary mist. The other town that the forest led to was a little fishing community known as Stemskeep. A sleepy collection of houses and stores, framed by the river and gathered around the lake in the center of town.
Once the two travelers find themselves in a town, they will be able to formulate a plan. Leodraven is a world filled with oddities.. Is escape even a possibility worth considering? Or would it simply be easier to give up hope and find a town to settle in? Exploring and figuring out how this bizarre world functions is the only true way to find out.
Hello !! I am Gutz, I am 18 and I am looking for a longterm roleplay. My roleplay partner must be 18+. Also, my timezone is Eastern Standard Time.
Leodraven is a world I created, heavily inspired off of Over the Garden Wall, Alice in Wonderland, and Dungeons and Dragons. It's a high fantasy setting and my plan is basically to have our ocs wandering through and exploring this strange and unfamiliar pocket dimension. They'll experience the oddities and eerie atmosphere, meet some side characters and bond with each other over the journey. They will have their own separate goals depending on their backstories, and their main objective is to find a way to get back home, or eventually give up and look for somewhere to live in Leodraven.
I am a semi-lit to lit writer and I tend to write 3-5 paragraphs per response. Of course, if I am tired or trying to move things a long, it may be less than that. I only do oc x oc and I prefer to have some sort of slowburn romance plot going on. I tend to prefer MxM and MxNB, but MxF is fine too. I only really play as male characters and I lean towards queer pairings most of the time.
I love chatting oorp! We can gush about our characters and talk about the direction we want to steer the story in. Don't be afraid to rant to me, I absolutely adore discussing little details in depth. Character lore is so much fun. I would like for both of us to come up with side characters to add into the story.
No spamming of course, and we can discuss triggers before starting the rp. Please DM me if you're interested in my prompt.

Towns of Leodraven

Weather: Foggy, humid, grey.
Residents: Everyone acts a little strange and uncanny, giving the already mysterious town an even stranger vibe. This town is mostly populated by humans. By night, creatures of shadow seem to creep out of the fog, but no one is sure if they're real or not. Ghosts sometimes occupy the graveyard.
Key Locations: Ivorstead Church, Ivorstead Cemetery(attached to the church), the surrounding forest, the creaky little town market.

Weather: Comfortable, but a little cold because of the proximity to bodies of water.
Residents: Lots of fishermen. Mostly humans. People here are usually pretty content, and the community is very tight knit.
Key Locations: Stemskeep Lake, the Bait Shop, Town Center.

Weather: Mostly sunny with some light rain on occasion, gotta keep the fields hydrated.
Residents: Lots of farmers and cowboy types. They mostly keep their noses in their own business and don't bother anybody much. All sorts of different creatures live here, tieflings, elves, humans, dwarves, goblins, kobolds, ect.
Key Locations: Flea Market, wildflower meadows, houses and barns(there's seriously not a lot of places here)

Weather: Cloudy usually, but not uncomfortable. The weather can vary here.
Residents: Lots of variety in the people here, all different kinds of folk. Everyone here always seems busy with something or other.
Key Locations: Shopping district, Uptown and Downtown areas, 'The Red Stiletto'(most popular restaurant throughout the entire area, but it's a little pricey. They have live music!), Train Station

Weather: Constant snow, occasional blizzard.
Residents: Satyrs, Snow elves, frost giants
Key Locations: Mountains, tavern, supply store.

Fairy Circles - The fairy circles, or mushroom circles around Leodraven cannot take you outside of the realm. They merely transport you to a different circle somewhere in the world. These are mostly for the playful fey to trick unsuspecting wanderers, or to help seasoned travelers get around faster.
Caves - Caves in Leodraven are usually the prime spot for odd mushrooms to grow. These can have spores that are very dangerous to breathe in. Although, some people have discovered safe ways to harvest these mushrooms and use them to make different artisan goods to sell. But for anyone uneducated in Leodraven's foraging practices, it's not a good idea to wander into them. Bats tend to eat these mushrooms, and if you get bitten by one of these bats, you'll hallucinate for hours.
Train Tracks - Since the Train Station is located in Dwyldem, it's no surprise that the train tracks move. Sometimes in your travels, you will pass train tracks on the ground in the strangest of places, but if you check the next day, they will be gone. There's a train panel in every town, and in other locations too. The miscellaneous train panels move as well. Where the train goes depends on where the traveler is headed. Although, of course, the train cannot take you out of Leodraven, no matter how hard you try to will it to.
