I suppose it's clear why I'm on here (ha ha) but my name is Star (any pronouns) and I'm here after a pretty long break from writing (exams stress that's slowly fading away rn) and hoping to find new writing partners! I'm a college student, I work part time, have a lot of hobbies that honestly aren't very important for this specific post (but I love to yap so feel free to ask) and one of those hobbies is, obviously, writing.
I've been writing since I was about ten, which would amount to about ten years of experience by now - however I should note that most of the writing I've done was in my native language (fellow czechs let me hear you), but I've done a lot of writing in english as well, and I can, of course, provide a writing sample. while I don't mind banter-style writing, I'm more partial to multi-para/novella and literate - I don't mind the occasional mistake here and there, we're only human! buuuut I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to stuff like your/you're... (no hate yall but on everyone's soul but mine it's a simple rule). I'm also writing a novel currently so I appreciate any writing exercise
with that being said, my average post can be anywhere between 900 to over 1,5k words, which I am aware is highly situational and I'm not the type to demand for my collaborative writers (YES it sounds better than roleplayers leave me be) to keep up with me at all times. I understand writing is more than the little number indicating how many words you've punched in! quality over quantity.
I also LOVE drawing. it's one of the (many) hobbies I mentioned earlier, but in all honesty, I'm a very creative person and I love all things steering in that direction. while that won't mean I'll be composing songs or carving statues, it will most likely mean that I'm going to do a lot of pinterest boards, spotify playlists, worldbuilding, headcanons, drawings, and whathaveyou. for which I'd love someone with the same energy - but more on that below
I'd like to preface this section by saying that I'm not, at the moment, very interested in writing standalone canons. I've had quite a lot of that a year back, which has successfully burned me out, so now I'm ready to ''retire'' and also play as some of my own characters. this also means that, if you're coming here with the mindset ''you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours'', I'll have to (very respectfully) decline. I don't like this whole sentiment of doubling being 'mandatory' to have someone write as a canon you like, and I want to get excited over yalls ocs and not be on that boat alone.
okay so! I'd obviously like for my partner to be on a similar level to mine - aka, multi-para and literate - however that's absolutely not the set-in-stone requirement. what matters first and foremost is, at least for me, to get along! I'm aware some people like to remain somewhat impartial to their writing partners, however that isn't the case for me. I assume there's a chance we won't remain best friends forever, but being at least friendly-ish is important to me. I have a mild form of autism and BPD, so reading between the lines is sometimes hard for me. communicating is very important in all aspects of life! I'm also not the fastest writer and sometimes I get swarmed with schoolwork/work in general/life, so daily responses are just not possible for me.
as for the fandoms I'm offering, there's... a lot. I'm not sure if it's worth typing it all out as I'm going to handle out carrd links to anyone who asks, but I'll type out the ones I can remember from the top of my head:

there's more, so if I forgot to list something you think might be familiar to me, feel free to ask, chances are, I just forgot to add it LOL (and if not, at least I get a recommendation). as for the characters I can write, I'm pretty flexible in that regard. I can always learn to write a new character, it's a fun exercise for me (as someone who's characters used to be flat as hell)
these are the canons I'm personally looking for. chances are we'll connect on a completely different character, but these are my most recent and prevalent cravings
✧ spiderverse (Miguel O'hara, but also Hobie :3)
✧ the house of the dragons (Aemond)
✧ attack on titan (Reiner)
✧ baldur's gate III (Halsin, Gortash, Durge)
✧ horror movies (Candyman my glorious king)
generally speaking, I'm not picky, nor am I expecting us to write both storylines in the same verse, so don't worry about that.
I'm not really great at ending posts (subtle foreshadowing) but yeah! if you made it this far, chances are, you're at least somewhat intrigued, and since the messaging system set here on rpnation is a little wonky (peace and love to the creators this is not a diss), feel free to message me on discord where you're more likely to reach me
