Other Obscure fandoms you'd like to RP

I'd honestly like to do a light hearted warhammer fantasy role play, but it goes completely against the setting.

i'd love to do an RP based on Butterfly Soup - i imagine it's pretty obscure since i've never heard anyone ever talk about it but it's my favorite wholesome, down to earth visual novel.
 
I’ve yet to see this, but I’d love to do a RP in the Killzone universe, the lore was always super interesting to me!

Another I particularly enjoy is Warhammer 40k, though it can definitely be difficult to do anRP in that universe correctly.
 
The Handmaid's Tale. I love me some good dystopian fiction with twisted religious imagery and highly feminist themes. I think it would be interesting to write a devout Commander who fully believes in Gilead and sees his place as naturally above his Wife and Handmaid... or a Wife who falls in love with her husband's Handmaid, or maybe even a polyamorous relationship that all three of them try to keep secret even from their own servants since any one of them could be an Eye. Hell, even playing an Aunt who watches over a group of Handmaids would be quite interesting!
It would make for a great high-stakes roleplay where even the players don't know where the other characters' loyalties lie and they have to quite literally risk their own character's life if they decide go against the current in any way. It's such an intriguing idea... but sadly the fandom is too small for that.

I was embarrassed about asking to roleplay it when I was a child and then well, I missed my opportunities there. Between the characters being children (though they can be aged up, not many are still comfortable about it, which is understandable, I've found myself having to remind people that children are children no matter the superpowers they may have and it's creepy), and the fandom being... I don't see any kind of activity from it tbh, so I'm guessing it's pretty dead.

Another one is Shazam, but like, the most recent movie version/universe, not the comics. I'm not a big fan of DC movies, but that one has everything I like, from silly humor to silly characters to a wholesome family. But no luck for now, just some people ghosting I guess
 
Katekyo Hitman Reborn.

It comes across as a silly slice of life show for the first 30 episodes, but in fact, much of it was subtle set-up for the amazing future arc. The main hiccup I have had with trying to roleplay in the fandom is that people tend to want to play in the universe just generally when I want to play as canon characters like Xanxus or Mokuro who I find pretty badass.
 
Bingewatched the entire second season of The Hollow about two weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about it. I want to roleplay it so badly, but I have no idea how such a roleplay based on it should work, since the vast majority of the plot rides on spoilers.
 
THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES. 100%. its such a well written horror podcast, the world building and story are so immaculate and it's sooooo fucking good. i've been wanting to make a group rp based off it for a good while now, and as summer and more free time approaches, i likely will once i figure out a plot and what direction to take it.

Same! I've been thinking about this the last couple of days, the world building in TMA is just so good, and there's such variety in the type of horror you could do. I think it could make for a really interesting RP ^_^
 
I’ve always wanted to do an rp set in the Garo universe. Not really using canon characters (although I wouldn’t mind a canon rp either focusing on Rekka/Jabi or Crow/Raiga or even Ryuga/Jinga) but just playing around with the world and lore. Makai society seems like such a strange and fun thing to write about, especially when they’re so separated from modern society while still living IN modern society. It’s just fun.

I’ve considered the idea of various Kamen rider rps but I’m very... particular about characterization and the like in those lol.

Ive always though Higanjima had a good setting for an rp too, though I wouldn’t really recommend anybody actually read it because it’s... pretty terrible lol.

The last one I think would be REALLY fun would be an oc based ultraman rp! It could be fun to have one person be the ultra and another be the host, along with the various defense team members. And maybe some of the old guard like Taro could show up. I love you, ultraman Taro.
 
The Wheel of Time is a great setting for a roleplay, since the worldbuilding is so in depth that you could do a story that has nothing to do with any canon characters. The same is true for Brandon Sanderson's books, in particular the Cosmere, but I'd love to do a Skyward rp as well.

I also have this in my search but no one ever takes me up on it - FUTURAMA !! People really sleep on how fun the futurama universe would be to roleplay within tbh! Also! Archer, and like lots of others mentioned in my search post lmao

Nioh/Nioh 2 - LOVE this video game series. Truly stood on its own two feet and differed itself from the Dark Souls style; challenging, and punishing if you're too cocky. Samurais/Ninja with Mystical spirits that give them elemental powers is God damn awesome. Truly a fun idea for a roleplay!

Still looking for a Bleach roleplay too ;^;

We tried getting a MH RP together not too long ago. Someone necroed a 2 year old thread. lol I guess they started a new thread after that. We got a couple of ppl showing mild interest. Problem is, no one wants to GM.

Fantasy - Monster Hunter RP

So I saw a Roleplay being made for Monster Hunter around 2 years ago (it was a post from 2 years ago that is) and I was wondering if people still liked that idea and maybe there is a Monster Hunter Rp? Wondering if anyone had seen one? Or does anyone want to start one possibly.
