Hit Me!
Hi there. You can call me Elo. I’m new, so I‘m still trying to learn how to navigate the site. I apologize if I make any mistakes.
Right, well- I’m just gonna jump right into it!
I'm not one for fancy posts. Sorry if it just seems all straight to the point. Moving on to the genres and plots.
Right, well- I’m just gonna jump right into it!
- Please be over 21+. The themes I enjoy are dark and mature. I’d feel more comfortable roleplaying with someone older. I'm looking for a long-term partner and am patient with replies. God knows I'm a workaholic, and sometimes it may take me a week to finally get a reply in. However, I do think communication is important and will be extremely grateful for it. To be upfront, I do have ADHD so apologies in advance if I come off either strangely awkward or blunt. I tend to overthink a bit but I promise I'm super chill!
- Lady here but I don't care who's behind the keyboard. What I do care about is being able to bring in a variety of dynamic, complex characters. I will bring in a diverse cast and some will be given the same spotlight as my mains as the story progresses. While I usually lean towards playing the female in MxF, I have to fill the world with other characters. It's impossible for me not to do so. I want the little side stories, those small moments of comfort as our group of characters huddle around a fire or fights breaking out because whatever they are going through is brutal and it's affecting everyone. I want to see relationships bloom and fall. All of that jazz.
- My jam is Dystopian (think bladerunner/cyberpunk vibes), Sci-fi (cowboys in space? something like the expanse?) and Apocalyptic themes. Gritty, miserable tones are a must for me. If my characters aren't suffering, I'm not having fun. Unfortunately, I don't do fandoms. Taking inspiration from them is very welcome though! I know I've done a few roleplays based off TLOU and Resident Evil way back.
- Absolutely love world-building, plotting, planting seeds in the beginning to reap them later on. I believe a good story has to be collaborative. If I have to pull all the weight alone, I will burn out. My limits are few and I can tolerate a lot but ones that carry weight must make sense to the story/environment/characters.
- Let’s talk romance. I like slow burns if it happens. One roleplay I had took half a year for the characters to actually admit they had feelings for each other. I like romance that is born out of something traumatic or dark (character almost dies/a shared experience of something that causes so much misery but they end up bonding over it, misery-loves-company sorta situation/love in the disguise of being over-protective) or I like one-sided feels/obsession/loyalty. It does make that rare moment of fluff so much more satisfying. However at the end of the day, I'm entirely story driven. I don't write MCs with the mindset that they end up in a romantic relationship but rather a complex one. And if romance blooms from that, that's all good.
- And to follow up on the above; I enjoy the age gap dynamic/trope (15-20+ years) yeah, I'm problematic like that. It often has to be that the younger one falls first though. I like the tension, the morally grey line that has the characters questioning if it's right. I like the power imbalance but the younger one will sweep in and protect the older one if need be. Grumpy/Sunshine? Heck yes! Old man who wants power/little ball of destruction that will protect said old man at any cost? WHERE! ANYHOO. My characters are of legal age. They are fictional. Please don't come for me.
- I consider myself a casual roleplayer but I AM RUSTY. Omg, am I so heckin' rusty. I haven't written anything in ages. Pretty aware that I'm on the lower end of.... whatever literacy scale or hierarchy there is but I always try my best and am very eager to learn and improve. I do multi-para. Usually my posts are 500-2000+ words. Depending on the situation, I completely understand the need for shorter posts, especially when it's dialog heavy.
- Third-person only. For faceclaims, I often use realism art like my pfp. I can’t use anime. Sorry.
- I prefer discord for OOC and worldbuilding. It also gives me a better space to post refs, inspo and to really gush about our characters and story!
- Uhhhh. What else? English is my first language but I've been living overseas for so heckin' long. It's absolute shite now which is one of the reasons why I'm getting back into roleplaying. Please be kind?
- Your girl likes to unwind with a glass of wine while writing every once in awhile. I'm usually pretty cautious of any mistakes but please excuse me if it happens. I, of course, extend the same courtesy to you.
- When you DM me, you won't likely get a reply if you send me something like 'I saw your post. Wanna RP?' Yeah, sorry. You gotta tell me why you're interested and what you may be interested in doing.
- Oh to be cool and chill enough to be ditch-friendly though. I have the habit of growing to care about my RP partners. I'd definitely understand if we're not a match from the first few posts but if we have a roleplay going on for a few months and you’ve suddenly disappeared, I will reach out to ask if everything is okay and if you’d like to continue or not. I’d really appreciate a response. A short ‘I’m not interested anymore’ is fine but also, as a writer, I’d love to have any sort of critique.
