Olivia reads the message and immediately feels angered about Cris putting him down. She knew her friend was only trying to do good, so that's what she reminded herself. "Cris is just a straight forward person on what she thinks. That doesn't mean it's what I think." Olivia sends the message.

Nick immediately picked the phone up when he saw a new notification and quickly read the message. He smiled softly before it turned into a frown and he replied back to her. "Look, I like you. A lot more than I thought possible in such a short amount of time, but I can't do that. I don't want to be the reason two best friends fight. I don't want to come between you two. I'm sorry." Sending the message was probably the hardest thing he had ever done.

Olivia read the text and shook her head. She decided to send one more just in case, "we aren't fighting, she was just upset." Olivia sets the phone down and stands up from her bed. She makes her way to the window so she can see the lights in town. Staring at the bland walls made her feel depressed. This place made her depressed.

Reading the message, Nick looked down and closed his eyes, feeling a bit depressed. "Upset that I'm actually interested in you." Once he went that, he put his phone in his pocket and grabbed his coffee, throwing it away as he headed outside and decided to walk back to the school.

Olivia dashed to her phone and read the message. Why would she be upset for that? What if it could be true. She reads the text over again, feeling a bit heart broken on the fact he basically friend-dumped her. One part of the text did make her feel a bit chirpy, though. He had said he was interested in her. A grunt escapes her mouth when she lays back down. The pain was beginning to get better, but not totally gone.


Olivia grabbed her throat, eyes bulging. She couldn't breath. It felt as if she was drowing, just without the water. Her fingers dropped to the blue button on side of her bed, sounding a code blue alarm throughout the hospital. One by one nurses rushed in to hover over her, their faces puzzled. Her eyes closed and reopened in the ICU not to long later.


"Olivia? Olivia? You're ok now." The nurse's voice filled her ears softly. "We caught it in time, it shouldn't happen again. We missed internal damage to the lungs earlier after your incident."

Nick kept walking for a while, really not expecting a strange number to appear on his phone when someone called him. Answering it, be stopped, his eyes widening as the hospital told him what happened and that Olivia was in ICU. Without a word, he hung up and turned around, bolting down the street and back to the hospital, despite the fact that it was just over two miles away. Everything Cris had said immediately left his mind and at that moment, he didn't care. He couldn't get news like that and do nothing, and the fact they called him told him that she wasn't even there anymore


Nick didn't stop running even through the hospital until he found her room and finally stopped in the doorway, his eyes wide with fear and his chest heaving in an attempt to catch his breath. "What.....happened?" He asked nervously as he stared at the nurse, waiting for an answer.

Crystal left the hospital hours ago yet here was their number appearing on her phone. Was Olivia alright? Had something else happened? Panic filled her chest though she doesn't react right away. Something told her that her friend was okay and safe... Dammit Nick. She knew it had to be him and with all of what she'd said a small smile came to her lips. If he truly cares about her friend then he'd forget her words of warning and in her heart she knows that that's what just ocurred. It was a bit of guilt lifted off her mind. Olivia may have gotten upset but as long as her heart wasn't broken.


Now, back to Cris' problem. She thought about meeting Nicholai for the first time in around five years. He was here at the same college though Crystal doesn't know what to do. She used to be really into him. She would just have to talk to Olivia when she got the next chance, her feet heading for the hospital not nearly as stressed or panicked now.

Kenlynn looked up at her "Okay hold on with your legs, i'm going to have her trot, just bounce your body out the seat with a thrust". She hooked the the long rope to the horse before standing back and having her walk in a circle. "don't worry about hurting her, im going to click, when I do repeat me and hit her with your heals", "With a quick click of her tongue Stain perked up, she waited one Addie to repeat her.

The confusion was real as Lynn told her to hold on using her legs but the blonde recalls what Kenlynn had done while she was riding and tries to mimic what she'd seen. Smiling once she gets the hang of it, Addie listens and nodded. She clicked after hearing Kenlynn and did what she was told to.

"That was awesome" he answered with a smile. "Yeah, I got everything. Thank you for doing this Colton" he said, closing up his book.


Tate Berry


He joined in with soft laughter. Tate glanced across at Erin, noticing her sketching. His eyes moved back to the painting as he continued, "what're you sketching?" he asked.





Clark Somers


Not able to finish all that was on his plate, he pushed the tray away with a few bits of food remaining. He drank the last of his coffee and put the bottle of water into his backpack, he blushed at Stephen's comment and laughed shyly. "Shut up" he said, "but yeah I think that's best for now.. I don't want us to rush everything and.. for it to end badly, y'know?" Clark replied. He hoped he was making the right decisions, he had been in one other relationship and that had not gone so well.. this time would be different, he'd make sure of it. He glanced around the canteen, spotting the clock before looking back to Stephen. "Shall we make a move?" he asked.

The food was awesome and as soon as the foodometer in his mind hit F he sinks back into his seat looking at the empty plates now sitting on the table. He smiled cheerfully at the sound of Clark's shy laughter and watches him from the corner of his sight. He wanted to tell him how much he loved when he acted like that but makes the decision to save it for later. His eyes searched the cafeteria watching as other people got up and left though he refuses to look up to the clock knowing that their time must be coming to an end. Glancing to Clark, Stephen smiles again. "Whatever you think is best." He reached his hand beneath the table to take Clark's. When asked if ready to go Steph frowns but nods. "Yeah, yeah..let's get this show on the road!" Releasing his hand regretfully, Steph stands and stretches once up. They needed to get to class.

Olivia opens her eyes and looks at Nick somewhat surprised to see him. "It's nothing, they patched me up." She reassures him. "They had missed a spot in my lungs. One was punctured, but i'm ok now." She wants to sit up so badly, but knows it would kill her to do so. As far as she knows, she'll still be getting out tomorrow, and she can't wait.

Nick shook his head as he entered the room, his breathing coming out in pants. "Don't 'it's nothing' me. This isn't nothing. Christ, you could have died Liv. That's not nothing," he told her as he began pacing, trying to catch his breath as he pulled his beanie off and ran his hands through his hair.

"But I'm fine now and there's no use in worrying about the stupid problem. There is no problem." She rubs her temples beginning to stress, "I'm still getting out tomorrow, and there is nothing we can do about what happened. He's in jail now and I'm fixed up. All there is left to do is forget about it like nothing happened." She sits up slowly as the pain medicine kicks in, grabbing his hand when he got close enough for her to reach. "Don't stress, there's nothing to stress about on you." Her expression goes firm, hoping he would listen to her. "Tomorrow I don't have class. We'll go have some kind of fun or something."

Zoe remained silent for a while until she heard about the water. She hated how short he was being with her, almost seeming not to trust her, and it hurt. She didn't trust her voice, so when she got up, she nodded once before heading out towards the water, slowly getting in to get used to the coolness.

Adam followed her into the water, it felt a bit cold but her liked it. He glanced over at Zoe who didn't seem very happy, "Did I do something wrong?" He asks feeling confused. He doesn't particularly know how to really talk to women, only the type of talking to get into their pants, so this was quite new to him. @JaneXJeff

Nick listened to her as he paced the room, feeling her grab his hand and finally stopped. He looked into her eyes and sat down on the bed beside her. "I'm always going to worry," he said softly as he looked over at her. "I just....it took everything I had not to kill him when I saw what he was doing to you," he said softly. "Then Crystal practically told me to stay away from you. I just don't know anymore," he said softly as he rested his head on hers, suddenly exhausted.

"You're just being really closed off with me and it makes me think you don't trust me," she said softly as she walked over to Adam and instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist. "I want you to be able to trust me with anything no matter what. Besides, I like you too much to go around ranting about your life. That's your job, not my place," she said softly as she kissed his cheek gently.

Adam sighed and looked into Zoe's beautiful eyes, "I'm sorry... I know I can trust you... But I'm worried if I say my history or anything like that to you, you'll treat my differently..." Adam touched her cheek softly and kissed her head.

Zoe closed her eyes when he kissed her head, unable to keep herself from smiling softly. "That's not going to happen. I like having you around and I'm not going to make it to where you're not," she told him as she looked up into his eyes, leaning up and kissing his nose. "You're too cute for that."

"What do you mean you don't know anymore?" She frowns to herself whilst his head is rested on her. The statement had her just as confused as him, and she was worried he didn't know about his feelings anymore. Olivia occupies herself by doing what Cris had done, she redecorates the room mentally to things more interesting, maybe she was doing it for a sort of control or to keep her thoughts away.

Adam smiled, "Well, I can't help it..." He laughed a bit at himself, "Well at least I know your going to stay around since I'm cute." He hugged her, never wanting to let go.

Making her grand entrance, Cris looks over at the two on the hospital bed giving a slight smirk. "Dude, of course I told you to stay away from her." She had been standing silently in the doorway in time to hear Nick's confession. "She's my sister." Smiling, she walks to the both of them. "Keep this up and I'm worried that not even my threats could keep you two apart." She chuckles wanting to make the deepened mood a bit lighter. Her eyes skimmed over the sight of them holding hands and a small pang was felt in her chest. Too many memories, she sighs.

Olivia looks to Cris who was suddenly in the door. She smiles at her attempt to make the mood lighter. It was working, olivia was happy her friend had accepted he was here. "It's not like we're dating, we're just friends." She blushes at Crystal's comments on how they were inseperable. "Come sit." She pats the bed and smiles at both of them; she now felt complete they were both here. It filled the hole where she wondered why her mom hadn't called yet, why wasn't she worried about dad? Did she know he was spiraling and he came to see me?

Zoe laughed a bit and returned his hug. "Even if it's the only reason," she said playfully before pulling back and splashing him with water. She laughed at him before going deeper into the water until her feet barely touched the bottom.

"I mean the only thing I'm sure of is that I meant what I said in that text," Nick told Olivia softly as he looked down at her just before hearing Cris make her appearance known. As much as he wanted to be happy to see her, he couldn't say he entirely was. He was glad she came o check on her friend, but at the same time she didn't want him to be around Olivia which kind of upset him. But he smiled anyway. "Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass what you say anymore. I'm grown enough to make my own decisions, as is Olivia," he said matter-of-factly, but the smile remained, more genuine than before. "Besides, she's right. We're just friends," he said with a small shrug as he watched the girl.

Olivia lookd over to Nick for what he said. She was a bit shocked, and there was no doubt Cris wouldn't let him get away with such a rude comment towards her. Also, she wondered if he was disappointed of being just a friend for the time being. Olivia wasn't one to jump straight into a relationship, and she felt after only two days it was nessesary to be just friends. "Ok, you guys let's watch a movie or something." She smiles and jumps ito the conversation before Cris answered. "Comedy?" She stands slowly with a few grunts to grab a movie from the shelf. One thing good about this hospital is they provided entertainment.

Agreeing, involuntarily, he stood up and sighed. Clark picked up his tray and carried it away, putting the remains of the food in the bin and the tray on the side for washing. Waiting for Stephen, he walked alongside him, "which ways your first class?" he asked giving the taller man a nudge with his elbow. He really didn't want to go to class now.. Clark wished he could just stay with Stephen a little bit longer.

Cris' mouth opened then closed again just as Olivia spoke up about watching a movie. She hadn't planned staying long but just being with her friend was an okay way to waste time. "Sure, or some horror." She was all about action and horror movies. Comedy was alright though she found herself as a more cynical joker with a sadistic undertone from time to time. Shrugging her shoulders, she looks at Nick and sighs. Crystal's hand went down into her pocket and came out with her phone in hand. Typing something, she turns the screen to Nick while Olivia's back was still turned. "I didn't want to keep you from liking her, just breaking her heart." Is what it reads and after he had time to see she locks her phone and shoves it into her pocket. "What's a movie without popcorn?" She asks out loud and heads for the door. "I'm gonna go check downstairs and maybe even sneak into the break room to see.." She goes to Olivia and gives her a small hug not wanting to hurt her but needing to. "I'll be right back." She disappeared out into the bright lights making up most of the hallway and began walking to the elevator.
