Fantasy Numbers (retry)

DJ Elfin

Killed by the inernet
Alright, so this is giving Numbers a second shot here! I've recruited some more people, so hopefully we can at least start RPing this time...

-RULES-

- I don't have a limit on how much or little you can post. Just don't post "he nodded" every time or an entire novel with each post

- This is not kinky meant to be kinky. Don't make that the reason you chose to be a slave.

- If you somehow went from being a 2 to a 15 or something of the matter, your character would've made a choice to become a slave or decrease it's number.

- A character can lower it's number at any time by simply filling out paper work, but it would have to work for it's number to go up.

- No spamming randomly, please.

- Keep all OOC chat in the OOC chat.

- HAVE FUN!

Tsugumi sat in the forest and sighed, pushing a strand of hair out of his eyes. Looking down at his feet, the boy stood up. As he stuck his hands in his pocket, he checked his surroundings. There were no stairs in sight... Good. With that, he began to stroll, quietly humming to himself.

Humming was a nervous habit for him. When he was bored, worried, or trying to avoid thinking of other things, he would hum. He had been concerned for Kouta in the past few days. Even though he wanted absolutely nothing to do with the boy any longer and they split paths many years ago, the thought of him still being out there was a little frightening.

That maybe he could run into him at any time.

Or maybe he was dead. Who knew.

"Nothing happens around here..." he grunted, cracking his neck. "It's boring."

Ella waltzed ahead of her elder sister, giggling whilst she did so. Lately, her mother hand tallowed her to go outside at all, and for once, she was finally getting the chance to venture out again with her elder sibling. Although she found it ridiculous, Ella continued onward, and held much happiness when out with her sibling. Although this thought was made quite clear, Ella thought otherwise. Halting in her tracks, Ella turned her upper body, twisting to an angle of which she could see Eloa behind her. "Come on! You're too sloooow." Ella pouted and whined whilst her sister took her time to catch up.

Eloa simply grunted whilst she followed her younger sibling. Having to be responsible for such a trouble consumed child made her head spin. Even so, she must please her father in every way she could, and she knew just how important going outside was to Ella. Watching whilst her sister skipped ahead, Eloa clasped her hands together before placing them carefully behind her back, allowing herself to increase her walking speed in order to catch up with her darling wild sister.

'...Where could she have disappeared to this time?' Yuu cautiously made her way through the forest, her annoyance clear on her face and in her steps. For one reason or another, her older sister had vanished from their home earlier that day, and the task to find her was placed upon her shoulders. Naturally, Yuu was not one to defy the will of her parents. However, it was no secret to any of them that the two of them did not get along.

"Samantha!" she called out. In truth, she knew it was of little use. Once her incompetent older sister disappeared, there was little hope in finding her. Nonetheless, Yuu was determined to not let her parents down, and so she continued her search, aimlessly wandering around the forest while keeping a close eye for anything suspicious. If she was lucky enough, perhaps she would be able to find her sister-or something (or someone) that could completely distracted her from the task at hand. After all, no matter how often she may run away, Samantha would not be able to last very long without their parents.

Coming to a stop, Yuu sighed heavily, shaking her head in annoyance. Oh, who was she kidding? She would never be able to find her older sister under such vague conditions. "Samantha!" she tried again, though this attempt was a bit half-hearted.

Takeshi released a huge sigh he hated patrol duty, he much rater just stand guard at some stupid post and maybe even sleep its not like anything happens near the watch post no man with his right mind would commit any crime when you can clearly see two watch memeber five paces away from you so the guards at the post usually take turns in sleeping. But he got patrol duty in the nearby forest, why did the watch even cared what was hapning the forest he didnt know but he continued his route as he sighed agian.

Konton what startled awake by a voice he was sleeping in the branches of a tree he then fell out of a tree that he was sleeping in landing in front of a girl, she was calling out for somebody."ooww"he said as he got up rubbing his back he is then look at the girl and then wonder who she was looking for."hey who are you looking for if you don't mind me asking."He said softly and shyly this was a random person and he doesn't usually do good around other people

Tsugumi kept walking around aimlessly for a couple of minutes. He had no where to be so he might as well get lost. Before very long, he came upon a flight of stone steps smack in the middle of the forest.

"Oh God..." he grunted, weaving his fingers though his hair before mumbling something inaudible.

He decided that rather than walk away from the steps, to walk around them. If he were lucky, he could maybe take out a couple of cameras. It would be moderately entertaining. He had been avoiding steps this whole time because of what he'd been told about them typically being watched by the Watch. Now that he was older, he could defend himself from whatever pounced at him, so it should be fine to investigate.

He couldn't find any noticeable cameras, but the Watch and the Oligarchy were smarter than someone who would just slap a camera on a tree. They'd be hidden if anywhere... Maybe the cameras were just a myth. They had never really been confirmed through the news or any other reliable source...

The teen recognized these steps as ones he had run into previously. He should be able to get home from here if he tried. He had work tomorrow, so he better be able to... Tsugumi still couldn't find anything overly suspicious about the stairs besides the fact that they were stairs.

"Maybe... There's nobody or nothing here after all..."

Bitterness, sadness, and anger that's what cradle her to sleep at night. It was the only emotion she ever felt anymore. The only time she could really truly feel peace was when she was at the hidden lake. She would sometimes sneak off at night and go to the lake looking at the night stars. It was the one place she could feel free at. No one knew about the lake but her. Her master pushed her in the basement where she slept after yelling and whipping at her. She had rep if you had her as a slave better be prepared for hell. But there were times where she wouldn't do anything and would still get in trouble. She was actually quite famous. The girl who went from a 2 to 15. She had gotten bullied about it. They would say she was pretty pethtic to be a member of the highest family then Drop to a slave. They would say she's worse then a 15. But now people, except her current master, wouldn't dare mess with her. She went to the window and climbed out. She wanted to go to the lake to lay in the grass and look at the stars. She went to the forest walking down the path. Not realizing there was guards on patrol tonight.

@SaintHound

As Takeshi walked in his route he heared footsteps on dry leaves he walked towards the sound while cursing himself it was his first patrol in the forest, he heared that the forest is usually quite but sometimes there illegal camps of religious groups and that they will attack to avoid jail and torture he couldnt really blame them he would do the same. He shook his head "Focus" he mumbled to himself as he walked closer, he pased a tree and then saw a teenage girl cant be more then three years younger them him. He sighed in relief a teenage girl is unlikely to attack him and if she does he will probably win the fight he kept walking closer as he said trying to sound as intimidating as he can "Who are you and what are you doing outside of the city?"

There was nothing here. Just utterly boring steps. Unless his suspicion of hidden cameras was true, there was nothing remotely interesting about the steps. He hadn't across anyone in the Watch, any visible cameras, hidden pressure plates or anything like that... The just sort of went to no where. That was a bore then.

Tsugumi sat on the steps with a sigh wishing that something would happen. Things had been so incredibly boring the past few days to the point he wished something, ANYTHING, would happen. Even if steps had been proven harmless at this point, it still felt wrong to sit on them.

"Oy... There's nothing to do around here... It's not like it used to be..." he exhaled, looking at the dirt on the ground with the occasional sprig of grass. Tsugumi found his mind drifting off to Kouta again. Kouta was his only friend. Ever. He had dealt with people generally disliking him for a while now, but he wasn't close to anyone at all and it made him feel remotely empty.

Ella sauntered onward, leading the duo into a nearby forest. She hadn't had much of any type of adventure lately, and decided she may as well go ahead and use this one time of freedom to explore the nearby wooded areas. She had heard of many stories about the numerous animals housed in such a place, and wanted to see if these statements were fact with her own two hazeled irises. If it were true, her elder sister would be just as happy as she was. "Come on Eloa! I hear birds!"

Eloa followed in suit, unclasping her hands and running off behind her sibling. Too much excitement for one day ought to tire her out. Right? At least later she could look back and remember just how she could tire her sister out so she could go out on her own accord. With the sound of birds ringing in her ears, Eloa's irises lit up with delight. She was used to such things, but seemingly could never truly get enough of it at all. Each time she heard the sound of animals thriving, she couldn't help but feel extreme warmth in her heart.

It was a day like any other for Roger. Tail some goofy schmucks and make sure they aren't cheating on their spouse, tail some other goofy schmucks and make sure the system isn't any more corrupt than The Powers That Be want it to be... On some nights, being a private investigator really sucked.

Fortunately, it wasn't night-time yet. Roger still had plenty of time to enjoy a little bit of freedom. When they found out about his talent, they'd fast-tracked him through school, so he didn't have anywhere in particular to be... Wait a minute, is school out yet? He pulled out his phone and checked the time. Yep, kids his age are out and about at this time of day.

"Well, alright then," he said to himself after a moment, "guess I'll go find some trouble to get into." And with a slight flourish, he turned and walked towards the nearest park--a lovely forest, standing (allegedly) for centuries, older even than the Watch or the Oligarchy, or even numbers.

Sounded like a good time to be alive to Roger.

@Blood dog (Considering how Yuu is the only one calling for someone, I assume it's safe to assume this is for me?)

Yuu was about ready to give up-to simply turn her back against her vanished older sister and resume her personal training. After all, every passing minute was pasted with this mindless search. Sure, she didn't want to disappoint her parents by coming home empty handed. But she hardly had any information to work with. How was she to find her older sister when she was not at all familiar with any of her typical hiding spots? (If it wasn't easy to tell, Yuu is normally not the one to go look for Samantha) Who knows, perhaps Samantha had already returned home? Even she knew that there were better ways of spending your precious time than wasting it hiding from your relatives.

The blonde turned on her heel, now determined to go home. However, before she could even take a step forward, a figure fell from the trees, startling a cry of shock from her. Instinctively, she took up a defensive position, preparing herself for whatever attack may come her way.

"Ooww..." It took her several seconds to process the sound of pain from the other person, and when it did she couldn't help the look of confusion that crossed her face.

'My attacker...hurt themselves...?' Yuu took this moment to assess the situation. There, in front of her, lay a boy who apprared to be around her age, give or take a year or two. Somehow, he had fallen from up above, landing directly in front of her. If it had been an attempt to attack her while she was distracted, the attack was obviously very poorly planned out.

His question finally registered in her mind. Asking her who it was she was looking for.

Yuu gradually relaxed her posture, resuming her usually standing "at ease" once she realized that the boy was not a threat to her.

"I apologize for my earlier behavior, private," she began, purposely choosing to not answer the question right away. "I thought you were a threat." The blonde paused for a moment, as though in deep thought, though her blank stare remained fixed on him. "As for who I am lookin for...She is of no importance. I am sure she will turn up eventually. Now, may I ask how, and why, you fell from the sky?"

Tsugumi decided to get up from the steps and try to find a way home. There wasn't anything else to do at this point. At least he found a new place to sit. As he went off to find his way back, he stuck his hands in his pockets again, his boots making a crunching sound on the dirt. There was never anyone out here to talk to and even animals were a rare appearance. That was a sad truth, seeing as the teenager liked animals. They were the things second closest to thawing his cold heart.

He attempted to stay undetected as it began to get slightly darker. The boarding schools had likely let the kids out of classes, so the chance that one would wander out here and snitch was a lot more likely. Children in school didn't get heavy consequences for going into the forest. Only if they were repeat offenders. The fact that he could hear one of the schools letting out in he distance meant he might be closer to home.

As he continued to walk forward, looking downwards, he was suddenly knocked over by a... Something. He opened his eyes slightly and realized he was now face to face with a young boy who looked as though he was the cause of his toppling.

"S-sorry." he said with a nervous look on his face. He had likely come from one of the schools nearby.

"That's alright." he grunted sitting up. "What's a brat like you doing out here?"

The boy puffed up his cheeks and gave Tsugumi his best glare. "I'm not just a brat! I'm a two for your information and I have the right to knock you down!" So that was this kid' deal...

"Look, I don't have time for you right now, seeing as I have to get home for work tomorrow." he told the child as he stood up from the forest ground.

He began to walk away, but the child tagged along.

"Why are you out here anyways?"

"That's not of your concern."

"Of COURSE it is! Spit it out Mister!"

"I have a name you know. And stop acting like you're older than you are, little punk." the older boy said, continuing to walk onwards.

Roxie stopped in her tracks when she heard a voice behind her. A little surprised since she never saw anyone in the forest. "Damnit" she said to herself. She turned around to see a guard. This made her even more irritated. She cocked her head up and smirked, "I'm little surprised you don't know me most do. And what am I doing? I'm going for a walk, got a problem with that?" She looked at him with cold eyes and the smirk still on her face.

@SaintHound

As he the girl turned to face Takeshi you could see in his face he was shocked, he quickly brushed the expression off though. He cursed him self quitly so the girl wont hear it, he tryed to think she was the most famous slave in the city the one that droped from the highest to the lowest rank. He knew that offically he should treat her as a slave and bring her to her master and let him deal with her but he didnt know if she still had friends in the higher rank he could lose his head for this. "Fuck my luck" he cursed loud enough that she could hear him, he wanted to just walk away say he his sorry that he thought she is someone else and leave but he couldnt both legally and morally he wassnt going to bring her to her master either since he will probably beat her. Takeshi couldnt do it, he refused to be the reason a slave get beaten. Eventually he said "Im sorry i didnt know it was you, but I cant let you walk in the forest alone so i will ask you to either allow me to escort you back to the city or escort you to where ever the hell you are going" Takeshi figured that if they meet other watch members he could say he got ordered to watch her by her master and they will just move along wont ask any more questions nor they will report it to anyone.

"Kid, please, leave me alone. What I do isn't of concern to you and if you keep following me, you'll get lost." Tsugumi told the small boy who was still tagging along, continuing to bombard him with questions.

"Joke's on you! I'm already lost!"

... This kid was dumb. Tsugumi couldn't deal with him anymore.

"GO. AWAY."

"No need to raise your voice Mister." The boy replied with a shrug.

"My name is TSUGUMI God dammit! I've told you five times! I don't want to lose my temper like this, but it's all I can do if you refuse to leave me alone you little twit!"

The child stared at Tsugumi for a while, his eyes seeming like a void. Tsugumi realized that he might've upset the boy and didn't know what to do.

Especially if this were the son or nephew of someone in the Oligarchy... The boy was obnoxious and very well could've been lying when he said he was a 2, but it would be stupid to just assume he was lying in case he really was a 2. What was he going to say to him...?

The teary-eyed supposed 2 continued to stand straight as an arrow, his face devoid of any emotion.

Ella continued onward, only to be interrupted by the escalating sound of two male voices yelling at each other. Blinking her irises, she allowed her curiousity to take control, guiding her towards the commotion. In doing so, she spotted the sight of a man and a boy standing together. Being only 10, Ella immediately thought the older male was trying to hurt the little boy. Scowling, Ella ran out and stood in front of the bow, placing her tiny hands firmly upon her hips and darting her angered gaze towards the bigger male. "How dare you yell at him!"

Eloa also heard the noise, but before she could steer her sister away from the potential danger, she had already run off. Throwing a mental hissy fit, Eloa followed in suit, seeing as though she couldn't possibly leave her precious sibling to fend for herself with such noise. Running in the same direction her sister ran off into, she reached the location in time to find Ella standing angrily in front of the little boy, and yelling at an older one. Obviously this wasn nonsense, and of course, none of their business. Plus the fact, one of them was in a level lower than themselves. "Ella....lets go."

He didn't seem to happy to see her most weren't. But she was surprised by what he said. "So your not going to drag me back?" She then about what she said she still didn't want him following her she wanted to be alone. "Look I want to be alone and I don't need yo-" She stopped in mid sentence. What if he whipped her for not going along with what he said? She already been whipped once today and she wasn't going through twice in one day. "...........Fine! you can follow me I guess." Then she turned around and started walking.

@SaintHound

Tsugumi turned to see two girls and he suddenly felt inwardly embarrassed. How long had they been there...? This... could be bad. He didn't show his concern though. He simply turned to the new arrivals and bowed his head.

"I apologize for however much you heard. I don't intend on hurting the child, nor did I wish to yell at him. He's just been following me around to the point that he's gotten himself lost." he explained, then turning to the child. "I'm sorry for yelling. I didn't mean to hurt you or your feelings. I'm just..."

"I know." The boy cut Tsugumi off, looking at the ground. The older boy stood silent for a while.

(@The Dark Princess )

Takeshi could clearly see the girl didnt like the idea of being followed by a stranger "Look i dont really like the idea of following a slave the entire day either" he said that in an insulating tone. He paused for a second and then continued "But i even less like the idea of geting a slave beaten because i dragged her into her masters doorstep and basicly said here you go beat the shit out of her please" Takeshi got more and more angry as he said the last sentence rising his voice as he spoke. Calming himself down quickly after and started following the girl

@animegirl20

Ella stood firm, ignoring the words of her sister. "Then why is he following you? And how did he get lost after-"

Eloa groaned, stepping forward and beginning to scold her own sister before she even finished her sentence. "Ella! That's enough!"

Ella froze, slowly shifting her gaze towards her elder sister, parting her lips for rebuttle and excuses. "But Eloa he was being-"

Eloa firmly stomped her foot, staring intently amongst Ella. "You know better than to do that." She should know better than to interrupt people in their own affairs, especially strangers she didn't know. Shaking her head in disapproval, ELoa held out her hand for her sister to take hold of. Eloa was doing her absolute best not to make contact with the older male, who seemed to be around her age, which only made a small pinkish shade mark her cheeks, barely noticeable. "We should go, apologize to...uhm..who are you?"

Ella groaned, leaving the boys side, and returning to that of her sister's, gently taking grasp of the awaiting hand held out for her to hold.

Roger looked around and sighed. Looked like this place was pretty dead.

Wait--he thought. There were footsteps in the path here. This wasn't anything unusual, but what bothered Roger was their placement.

There was a struggle here. The realization washed over him in a cold wave of sweat. He knelt down to inspect the ground more closely.

"Looks like they went a little bit to the north..." he said, mostly to himself. His eyes followed the trail of violence past, which led him straight to a small thicket of bushes. "... I don't like this."

He wasn't a trained martial artist or anything, but he'd learned a few self-defense tricks from his friends on the Watch. Assuming a ready stance, Roger slowly approached the bushes...

"Something tells me you had a bad experience with that." She said while walking and him following behind her. IF cared that much about a slave being beat then guess she didn't need to knock him out like she was planning to do. She really wasn't trusting him at first but he did seem different from the watchers.

@SaintHound

It was a cell phone. Roger picked it up and examined it.

It's a simple smartphone, not too cheap, not too expensive. It has few charms dangling off of it. A bear, a heart, and a smiley face. This phone likely belongs to a girl, probably still in school. He turned it over in his hands. A few scratches on the back-plate, but they're so shallow that this could just be from normal wear.

Looking around to make sure nobody was looking, Roger tried to access the phone. Four-digit PIN.

"Hmm... Probably something simple and easy to remember, like her birth-year..."

He tried to think what year someone around age 17 would have been born...

"W-wait a minute..." he said, shocked and a little embarrassed. "Oh, man, I forgot what year it is!!" The youth instinctively reached for his own phone, inside his jacket pocket...

Crap! he thought. The pocket was empty. I must have left it in my other coat! Great...

Looking over his shoulder to check for cameras or onlookers, Roger quickly stuffed the mystery phone into his pocket. He didn't have anything better to do, so he'd decided it might be fun to try and figure out who this belonged to and return it in person. It'd be a nice test of his skills.
