    When first seen, Alexander can be quite an intimidating sight, standing at 6’4 with a broad torso and long limbs. Alexander has a mop of messy black hair, often unkempt and haphazardly brushed out of his face. Likewise, Alexander more often than not goes around unshaven, sporting dark facial hair on his square jaw and just above his upper lip. Accompanying his dark hair, Alexander’s eyes are a piercing green which are offset by his softer eyes. Alexander often dresses in clean clothing that have been properly taken care of.

    Alexander has always been a quiet man, not typically one to speak out or be loud, he much prefers to keep to himself and keep his head down. Despite this, Alexander is a very caring person and is always willing to go out of his way to help someone with any task or wound they may have gained. As a matter of fact, he is almost too willing. Alexander is a large pushover and has a severe inability to say ‘no’ to people, he can attempt it, but with minimum pressure he tends to easily cave. Alexander gets pretty shaken when presented with unexpected situations, to the point he creates a checklist of what he needs to get done each day, and feels a sense of accomplishment with every checkbox he gets to fill in, though he will never freely admit that this list exists to anyone.

    Reason for being in Pearl Basin :

    As an only child born to a respectable family, Alexander was held to a high standard by his parents his whole life. From a young age his whole life was planned out for him and he was kept to a schedule, leaving him little time for anything other than academics. His parents pushed him towards the medical field in order for him to follow in his doctor father's footsteps and Alexander followed their lead, terrified of letting them down in any way, shape, or form. The combination of rigorous college courses and an intense hospital internship led to Alexander having a serious nervous breakdown during a particularly difficult time in school.

    Having heard of the rustic escapism that Pearl Basin could provide, Alexander sought an escape from the constant pressures from his everyday life. With his parent's approval, he took a semester off of school in order to find himself somewhere else, leading to him finding a cabin in the cozy town.

    Physical Attributes: Nathan stands at around 5'10" without much of a figure to accompany. Despite being a cop, he doesn't have a defining body type. He is a bit muscular in his arms, but has more of a flat stomach with little muscle build in that area. His hair is a dark brunette color that contrasts well against his warm, olive skin tone, and his light blue eyes stand out above all. He keeps his facial hair trimmed and well kept. On the right side of his face a thin, faint scar runs vertically from his cheek down to his chin, which he doesn't talk about often. Both upper arms are covered with tattoos, which he typically keeps covered up.

    Personality: Most people who know Nathan can say for certainty he has changed after the incident. He had lived in Pearl Basin for about 2 years before people mysteriously began dying off. To say he was kind was an understatement. Almost everyone in the area knew Nathan on a personal level. He was dedicated, open minded and very selfless when it came to others. He would go above and beyond on any case he received, even if it was as simple as a cat stuck in a tree. Now he seems reserved- stuck in his head almost all of the time. He lost good friends at the borders of the little town, and the longer the mystery went unsolved the more Nathan spiraled. He became obsessed with figuring out what happened. Despite this change in personality, he is still protective over the people he knows and tends to be a great listener. He is a closed book when it comes to his own problems however and gets visibly angry when others pry. Nathan still tries to keep up his duties as a loyal, protective, dedicated guard even though the police force hasn't been around for a while.

    Reason for being in Pearl Basin: Nathan has been in the police force for about seven years. When he was younger and much more full of energy, he had always wanted to move to the big city after college to become a detective, which is exactly what he did. At the age of 21 he moved to Chicago where he got accepted into the CPD. He didn't rise through the ranks as quickly as he would have liked however. Most of the cops were dirty, and Nathan refused to stoop so low, even if that were the only way to get to a detective position. Eventually he was fired for not meeting quotas- not because of laziness, but because there was no way to meet the impossible standards unless one were to "cheat". That was when he moved to Pearl Basin, believing if he were to come to a small town there would be more of a chance for him. He was right, but wasn't aware of the cost he would need to pay.

    Physical Attributes: Corina is a petite woman that stands at around 5'2". She has no frame or muscle, and is typically described as "cute" or "fairy-like". Her hair is a very light blond color and her eyes are a deep blue-grey. Her skin is light with warm tones, and her cheeks are usually flushed as if she had been out in the sun a bit too long, or she has a fever. She has no freckles but dons a small, dark colored birth mark right at the edge of her hairline that is covered by her bangs. She has no tattoos, but has her earlobes pierced twice on both ears. On her right ear she has two helix's done and one on her left. She also has her nose and belly button pierced as well.

    Personality: Corina is a very down to earth girl who is very much a people pleaser. She enjoys being around others despite being a bit awkward in social situations. She is extremely intuitive as well, a skill developed from her years of being a therapist. Others look at this as being a bit judgemental however, which can sometimes cause people to get annoyed with her- much to her dismay. The people who know Corina most would probably describe her as a bubbly, positive person who tries her best to make the most out of situations. She enjoys making people smile and is kind of the mom friend of the group. Although Corina doesn't like to complain, she overshares a lot, even when it comes to some of the bad parts of her life. When she is alone however there is a near 180 in her attitude. She becomes extremely anxious when alone and tends to overthink herself to an anxiety attack. This is one of the things she tends to leave out of conversations.

    Reason for being in Pearl Basin: Corina was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana to two loving parents and raised with an older sister. Her life wasn't terrible or significant in any way for the most part. She dealt with mild anxiety throughout middle and high school to which she tried out therapy for a bit. Her interests in psychology were born from her time in therapy, which she only went to for about two years. During her time as a Junior in college, she met Michael, her second boyfriend she had ever had. Only a few months into their relationship things began to go downhill. It started with a few nasty comments here and there and quickly got worse. She passed her noticeable marks off to those around her for about a year before they eventually became suspicious. That was also around the time she had finished her degree and had made up her mind to move out. At the age of 21 she moved to Pearl Basin where she used her degree to become a clinical therapist in a small business downtown. Corina quickly became known as the bubbly, happy go lucky girl. Secretly she had been seeing her own therapist until the incident happened, and put the bubbly personality up as more of a front until she actually began feeling that way.    ​

    Lukas has a very sharp and dry humor and isn't afraid to let the sarcasm drip through in whatever conversation he is in. He will poke fun at everything and everyone, and he will do so without a second thought or mind for their feelings on the matter. Outside of this never ending sarcasm, Lukas is extremely blunt. He isn't one to mince words or to phrase something to sound nicer or more pleasant, he simply says it like it is because why bother to pretty it up, ain't going to change what it is. Its safe to say, Lukas is not the most well-liked fellow even before the event happened, but he is useful because despite his.. demeanor, Lukas is a dedicated and hard worker. Lukas isn't one to half-ass something, he just doesn't have it in him and even when he goes into something thinking he is going to go easy, he finds himself throwing everything he has at completing it. Lukas doesn't give up on something once he starts, he doesn't quit and walk away from something even if he is out well into the night to complete a single task that, in the grand scheme, holds no real value. Couple with the fact he is one of the very few, even before the event, that could keep the small town running, and its easy to see why Lukas and his... colorful personality are kept around.

    A rather new development to his personality, Lukas has become very cynical of other people. He doesn't trust people, their intentions, or their words. Not after seeing people he has grown up with, talked to every day, had dinner with, tear each other apart for a handful of rice. People aren't like him, he understands this now, more then ever. People will look for the easy solution, the easy way out, just like they are doing with this whole 'house' system. Lukas doesn't have much use for people anymore and much prefers to work alone where he is safe and alone with his thoughts for company because, at least then, he doesn't have to worry about being stabbed, again, for some shiny trinket he has. Despite not having faith or trust in other people, people can trust Lukas because Lukas is one of the most genuine people there is. He is who he is, he is no more, or less, then what he seems. Lukas doesn't lie, especially when he should be lying, he does not pretend to know what he doesn't, he does not put on airs or acts to hide insecurities, Lukas is just Lukas. All his faults, all his virtues, all his failures, all his triumphs, are all on display for the world to see and judge.

    But, above all, the most fitting way to describe Lukas is an angry, bitter old man trapped in a young man's body. Lukas is one whiskey shot and bad day away from being that grumpy old man on his rocking chair screaming at the youth of tomorrow to stay off his lawn. He purposely uses sarcasm to pick fights and arguments with people, he will grumble and complain about everything under the sun and will drag his feet on purpose to annoy those around him until left to his own devices. A cantankerous abrasive ass of a man, but a genuine cantankerous abrasive ass of a man.

    History in Pearl Basin

    He murdered his wife in blind rage when he found her in bed with another man and is now on the run, no that wasn't it... He was a secretary for a powerful business mogul who he had an affair with but had to flee from.. It wasn't that either, no, instead it was something far less interesting and far more mundane, Lukas was born and raised in Pearl Basin. Yes, he is not, nor has he ever been, running from some great secret in his past that hounds him as some of the other denizens of the isolated town. In fact, Lukas has never lived anywhere else but Pearl Basin and has only left the state a grand total of three times for short periods of time. Lukas never felt the itch that some born in the tiny town had, the itch to leave it for the greater world and try to make something of themselves, he was quite content with his lot in life, in fact, the most interesting thing that could be said for Lukas' life was that his highschool sweetheart, Elizabeth, rejected his proposal of marriage to go to New York and try to make a name for herself on Broadway. Even by Pearl Basin standards, Lukas wasn't the most interesting man in the world, he went out to work, was known to be rather sarcastic and grouchy, came home to his small house passed down to him by his grandparents, with his two dogs and three cats there to welcome him home and watched Netflix until he fell asleep on the couch. Truly, he lived the high life.

    Lukas was something of the town handyman before the... event happened, Lukas did most of the patch work for the town, he fixed pot holes, he repaired irrigation ditches, repaired pipes, he was the only one that could get the old clunker, held together with duct tape and prayers, of a snowplow working, and its still what he does. He still plows both sides of town, he still fixes the pipes and wiring on both sides of town, he still helps the other house with work they need that only he can do because Lukas doesn't have any real loyalty to either house. The only reason he belongs to one is because it was slightly closer to his home and so was most convenient... In fact, Lukas isn't quite sure how he feels about the mess, but he does know he doesn't have much use for people now. Its an odd thing, to see people he has known his entire life tear each other apart over stale bread and toilet paper, how the old shop keep was drawn and quartered over accusations that he had been hoarding a secret food supply... Instead of coming together, they formed two houses and glare at one another across the street like unruly children no longer under the watchful eye of their parent.

    Yeona has soft features and resembles the actress Min Hyo Rin with flushed, rosy cheeks. Her almond, mocha brown eyes are filled with warmth, but to those that may mirror her own mask, perhaps a glimpse of sadness and pain could be seen through them. With silky, wavy dark hair that flows to her mid-back and sways with each step she takes, Yeona's hair is usually free from accessories and let down naturally. Although Yeona is currently free from blemishes, she bruises easily and when it is cold, her fingers and toes tend to turn purple.

    Standing at five feet and two inches, Yeona has great posture and walks in small, casual strides, courtesy of her lessons from her halmeoni ( grandmother ). Her movements are gentle and graceful despite having a hint of care-freeness in her steps and being free-moving when she's alone. When walking with others, Yeona prefers to walk side-by-side with people than behind or in front, it makes her feel more attentive to the other person. She loves wearing slip-on shoes and comfortable platforms wherever she goes. If one had to describe Yeona's fashion style, it would be a mixture of different casual wear, vintage, chic, and at times, artsy.

    While Yeona does not have noticeable markings on her or the skin she chooses to show in her choice of attire, she does have a pair of ear-piercings and a birthmark on the side of her stomach. She's afraid of needles and even though she's fascinated with tattoos, she wouldn't be able to handle it on her own skin. Delicate and smooth, Yeona is left-handed, using it as her dominant hand whenever she moves such as when she's pulling her hair behind her ears, picking up items, etc.
    | PERSONALITY
    While Yeona may appear perfect, especially since she's hold to a higher standard due to her background and her occupation, if one meets her, she's different than expected. Yeona is personable, affectionate and welcoming. Free from judgement, Yeona prefers to get to know someone rather than make assumptions about them. However, she may base her decisions and ideas upon intuition and experience. She will stand up for those who can not voice their opinions and rarely likes giving up when she's on a mission. Determined and motivated, Yeona can be optimistic, however, knows that reality is not all rainbows and butterflies.

    Although Yeona is stubborn, she still holds value to tradition and familial expectations which can both be her strengths and weakness. She can't say "no" when someone comes to her for help, taking upon matters by herself, and rarely ask for help. Obedient to a fault, it's hard for Yeona to find balance, at times, when it comes to her beliefs versus her family's beliefs. Sometimes, because she has the "best" of both worlds, it causes her yield her own morals and follow her parent's wishes.

    Nevertheless, Yeona is a romantic at heart and a natural dreamer. She finds joy and happiness in the smallest place and wishes to share it with the world. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Yeona likes to find it in places that needs it the most. Compassionate and artistic, Yeona expresses herself through gestures, music, and writing. She respects those who respects her. While she can easily take jabs at her, she can be protective and challenging.

    Sensitive and emotional, Yeona is an escapist and will use methods to cope with hardships that at times may cause her to feel detached or rather makes her run away from her issues. Nevertheless, for others, she is assertive when she needs to be since Yeona can be empathetic. She sometimes takes on other people's pain and hardships as her own. Yeona believes everyone deserves happiness, but it won't be found easily, especially since it first takes courage.

    Born to two South Korean buisness tycoons, Yeona's eomeoni ( mother ) and abeoji ( father ) were often away on business trips between New York City and Seoul. Conference calls and face-timing was a key part of her and her parent's communication. However, despite the distance in her family ties, her halmeoni ( grandmother ) stayed with her throughout her childhood. Since Yeona was born in New York City, she resides there with halmeoni, teaching her their culture, fundamentals of being a Korean woman, and familial duties.

    Nevertheless, Yeona absolutely adores living in New York City. Whether it's because she romanticises about the city and often daydreams of finding the one for her in such a large city or it's because of her experiences, Yeona keeps a lighthearted, hopeful, and spirited energy about herself.

    At a young age, as she was with her halmeoni walking through the busy streets of New York City, her eyes gazed over at a beautiful white gown in the front window of a bridal shop. Before she knew it, Yeona was mesmerised by the various gowns and made her way into the store with halmeoni following behind. To say the least, she was greeted with bright, cheery smiles, reddened cheeks, and illuminous lights. The entire shop was filled with laughter and chatter that gave her warm feelings as small fuzzies bubbled in the pit of her stomach! Soon enough, she was whisked away by one of a bride-to-be who was trying on her bridal dress and Yeona was stunned. Since that day, Yeona found herself enamoured with planning for weddings and wanting to assist other brides-to-be on their extra, special day! She vibed off of the atmosphere she felt and it motivated her.

    Loneliness was often a feeling she felt despite the countless studies sessions and extra curricular activities she had to attend to. Although there were a few occasions Yeona had to appear in front of people through magazines, photoshoots, charity events, etc. with her parents, Yeona followed their guidance. There were good times and bad times, of course. But, she took her studies seriously, even taking extra lessons and tutors to add to her future resume.

    Nevertheless, when she was old enough, to teach her about responsibility and to let her get a taste of making her own money, Yeona worked at Serendipity 3, a restaurant in New York City. During her time there, Yeona found herself curious and fond of an elderly couple that would come to the restaurant. They'd arrive at a specific day, always at a specific time, sitting at the same table, and ordering the same dishes. In a moment of curiousity and bravery, Yeona approached them and asked about their story. She was absolutely captured by their love and since she met them, she found herself wanting to pursue a romance and love like theirs - pure, not without faults, happiness, and motivational.

    Despite her parents' wishes for her to succeed in the market and their business avenue, Yeona had a different dream. Instead, she wanted to become a wedding planner and a matchmaker for others. While her social media accounts are filled with countless followers due to her background, Yeona also branded herself, posting pictures and accomplishments of her talents to find more clientele to prove to her parents she is capable.

    But of course, there's always compromises and deals. Afterall, what's business without give and take? Her parents would allow her to do what she wishes as long as she agrees in an arrange marriage and halmeoni would be in charge of finding her suitors. The very thought and idea goes against her very being, but, she complied. She went on many blind dates. Eventually, Yeona found herself in a relationship that could seem to be picture-perfect. A suitable match for her.

    However, everything is never as it seems in photos and in front of others. No one ever really knows what happens between two peopple behind closed doors, do they?

    As they say . . if life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

    As if her prayers were answered, "killing two birds with one stone", an upcoming, famous broadway actress approached her in her private message on Instagram. Her story nearly lit a fire in her heart and Yeona couldn't resist! She wanted to help and in the end, Yeona made it her mission to bring back the actress' high school sweetheart she left behind in Pearl Basin to follow her dream. It almost felt a little like star-crossed lovers and

    Yeona's goal is to reunite the two lovers once more.

    Celeste stands at an average height at 5'6 with a slender figure and fair complexion. Her long hair is curly and most often pulled into a low ponytail over her shoulder. While fairly well-groomed, her clothes are more practical than stylish, sporting a sturdy pair of boots and jeans. Her eyes are a dark shade of brown. Though it is covered by her clothing, Celeste has a long scar that runs down the side of her left leg and ends at her calf.

    Celeste is a kind and relaxed person with a tough exterior, which allows her to be an effective guard. She has a natural eye for seeing things that may be out of sorts which is only enhanced by the presence of Charlie, her attentive companion dog. Years of living in the Alaskan wilderness has made Celeste into a very resourceful person, perfectly willing to scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to using the most of what she's got. Although Celeste is a generally good-natured person who can take a joke, she can be rather insensitive and blunt when it comes to other people. She has a general emotional disconnect from other people, especially under the current circumstances in Pearl Basin, so she gets along fine with others, but tends to keep them at arms length.

    Reason for being in Pearl Basin :
    Celeste was born and raised in the Alaskan wilderness to a musher father and a city girl mother. While the two tried to make it work, her parents ultimately separated and her mother went back to her home city while Celeste stayed with her father, being raised surrounded by nature and the many sled dogs. In her early life, she was taught by her father to hunt, fish, and mush sled dogs. This is how she met Charlie, her loyal Alaskan Malamute.

    When she was 16, her mother reached out to her, looking to reconnect with her. After discussing it with her father, Celeste agreed, traveling to and from Alaska her mother's city in New York in order to establish a connection with her. This arrangement held up until Celeste decided to expand her horizons at the age of 23, buying a van and setting out on her own for the first time, bringing Charlie with her. After learning of the sled dog races hosted in Pearl Basin and feeling nostalgic, she found herself visiting the small town often. She was on one of these visits when the event occurred and thought it best to be apart of the safety of a house instead of on her own, leading her to join house 2.

    personality: Mia is what most simply sum up to be a bitch. A tongue laced with judgement and remarks controls most interactions with her making her unpleasant to hang around. She doesn't like anyone getting close to her, liking to keep people at the closest friendship level of an enemy. She doesn't let her icy exterior crack for anyone, hiding any sort of pain or feelings behind her fiery temper. Though very few have seen her kinder side, slipping through her mask and causing her to help someone else occasionally. She usually passes something like this off as in benefit for her, but in reality, she just doesn't want them to know she cares. Even still, deep behind her mask of strength she considers herself very weak and doesn't want to let anyone else see it. She despises this person and thus hates herself. Deep down she is ridden with self-hate and guilt and hopes that she can keep anyone from finding out. She feels like an imposter and can't bear the thought of others finding out.

    appearance: Mia stands roughly at 5'6 and has a build that is muscular though unnaturally skinny. A body that once had muscles that have been degenerating from the lack of food and exercise. Leaving her semi-fit while still managing to have skin hugging her ribs. Her hair is blackish-brown and her eyes a hazel brown. Her face and body are scattered around with freckles and moles. Her nails are uneven from biting along with the skin next to them, even still always having a layer of black nail polish on them. She never is seen in less clothing than a hoodie and pants, even the hoodie having another long sleeve under it. Under her layers hidden from the world is a few tattoos, some stick and poke and others done 'professionally', along with piercings and a fair share of scars. From injuries caused in fights as well as some from herself. She almost always is seen wearing makeup, even in a situation like this she wants to look the part she wants and spends time even with the limited resources. Her little sleep and caffeine addiction make it easy for her to find the time to pretty up every morning.

    reason for being in Pearl Basin:
    running. Mia ran away from her old life after an incident that ruined her life. An incident that ended with a dead high school student and the school turning on her, blaming her for the murder despite the court passing it off. Being fed up with the stares, the physiotherapy, and the constant whispers from her peers and family she got up and left. Taking little with her and going forward to a world with just as little to offer her. The occasional grand theft auto and pickpocket later she found herself in a world of drugs and parties. Hiding away from everything she travelled with little more than the clothes on her back. Eventually, she found herself in Pearl Basin with little intent to stick around long. She ended up staying longer than planned, the cold weather pleasing her in ways to hide both physical and mental scars with layers. Of course, before she could get the chance to leave things went to shit and now she is stuck in the middle of nowhere. However, unlike most, she has no desire to fix the events happening. Trapped sure, but no one else can come in. Sure she can't run, but it's the perfect hiding place.
