Seriously, For REALSIES
Evangeline had almost forgot about Nathan's.... friend driving the car until she caught him glimpse at the two of them through the mirror. Thats when she was reminded about her current situation. Random strangers, an unknown location, and a quick drive to remind her of her past life. Sibella would have been screaming at her. Her aunt would have had the national guard searching for her. Then once found, Aunt Mavis would proceed to lock her up in a catholic convent somewhere in France away from hooligans. Her aunt often used that word to descibe peopke like her room mates and well Nathan and his... friend. She probably considered Evangeline as one as well now.
Evangeline averted her eyes from both of the boys. He was right of course. She didnt have to explain. But she didnt want him to think she was hiding things. Thats what ruined her only relationship she ever had and well it was what ruined her relationship with her aunt. Evangeline kept a smile on her face as the wheels in her mind went well past ten million miles per hour. Why was she like this. Why did she have to care about what others tho. Evangeline sat up figuring it was finally safe to do soht of her and why did she have to think about the what if. She finally sat up when she felt the car stop. "I understand but.... You live at the Porter estate?" Her fingers smoothed down her hair as her eyes scanned the scenery out the window.
Evangeline had only seen the gates in passing before. Never had she been able to see what lied behind until now. It was quiet surprising to see. Her aunt had been here a few times for parties or gatherings but that was when Gabriel Porter was alive. Now though, no one really knew what went on at the estate anymore. She knew that Jayce Porter, Gabriel step son, was in charge of everything now. So did that mean, Nathan was his friend? Was he related to him some how? "All? I just thought Jayce Porter lived here now...."
