Whose god do you serve?:
Darkmaster006 Darkmaster006

Personality:
The best way to describe Saki would be stubbornly independent. She often says that she's able to take care of herself and doesn't need help, sometimes even in the worst of situations. She takes comfort in humor, and will crack jokes or make sassy remarks both when she's both happy or uncomfortable about something. Often times, it can be a little difficult to tell how she's feeling from this if you're only just beginning to get to know her. Saki often treats the people close to her as though they are siblings, and though she likes to do things on her own, she doesn't like to be apart from the people she cares about for too long.

Power Scaling:
1

Extra:
Saki looks as though she's in her late teens, stands at about 5'6, and her left eye seems a bit mistier looking than her right. She has a harder time seeing out of her left eye, with things looking a bit blurry, but she isn't totally blind. Her name symbol is on her right wrist.

Sukutse, the God of UnificationName: Sukutse

Gender: Male

Appearance:
7d740eed553fddf53050eb9e1a3520b7.png

What god are you?: God of Unification

Personality: Sukutse is reckless, and his recklessness doesn't bring any good to him or the people around him. Sometimes, it brings bad luck to the people in the Near Shore, but in the worst-case scenarios, death may immediately occur. As far as he remembers, no one died yet because of his actions. Despite that, he is a hard-worker. Driven by the passion of getting more believers so he doesn't completely vanish from the world, he keeps granting people's wishes, may it be a job for assassination or a job of being a temporary waiter in a restaurant. Other than that, he is also the one that often starts up conversations in a quiet group. He gets anxious whenever things are quiet, and if you trap him in a room with noise-canceling walls, it can be torture for him.

Skills and its Limits: With Inori, his Regalia, he can just about rend any small to moderately big Ayakashis in the city. Inori has been with him for a while now, and he believes that he has done everything that he can to help her become an effective companion for him. It's true that Inori still has room to further improve, but it is up to her now. He can also make, fix, and remove bonds that people have, which signifies their relationship to each person that they know.

Specialty: Being a god of unification, he can help bring people together. Well, he couldn't do it by himself. He can manipulate the emotions of people so that their wishes of having someone by their side, whether it's a family or friend, will come true. It can be a long-lost brother reuniting with his family, an orphan finally having a family adopt them, or it could be a boy and a girl having a relationship together. There are many possibilities, but it can also be bad. If he is having a bad day, then the jobs that he is doing will turn out bad as well. For example, an innocent person attracting a gang, and more. But, that rarely happens now. Other than bringing people together, he can also do the opposite that his power can do, but when he tried it once, he never did it ever again.

Species:

Gender:

PERSONALITY

--------------------

Personality:

Inori can be described as a genius in logic and problems, but has difficulty understanding emotions or behavior, relying on Sukutse to help her comprehend the ways of sentient beings. She loves drawing and appears to be shy and easily embarrassed. Though, she has a more outgoing and bubbly attitude once she opens up to others. Her joyous smile can brighten almost any person's day. Even as her master's regalia, Inori treats Sukutse as very high-held figure, always complimenting him and narrating his battles as someone would a video game. She loves cheering him on and cares deeply for his well-being, which leads her to trying to distract him from his dangerous-deemed intents. Despite being shy, Inori is very kind and holds others before herself. She usually hides her sorrows behind a false facade to make others happy. She can be very over-analytic if she upsets someone and is very self defeating.

Without the company of others, Inori can break down very easily, thus she needs another's prescence to feel entirely stable. Inori is extremely close to Sukutse, the first person to give her a meaning and name after her life ended, to the point of wanting him by her side at all times to feel comfortable. If Inori is separated from Sukutse or close allies for a prolonged amount of time, she becomes almost catatonic.

Bio:
For most of the beginning of Inori's childhood, she was loved and adored by all that she met. Born into a well-off family, there was nothing more than Inori could ask for. Her mother, who was fond of botany, would often take Inori out to her garden. There, she would teach Inori about all sorts of plants and flowers. It was their secret, Inori's mother would say. Inori's father on the other hand, had a late notice about the birth of his wife's child, due to being out the country most of the time for his job. Eventually he came around to visit on occassions, expressing feelings of affection towards his daughter, but strongly suggested that taking care of Inori was the mother's job.

Adding on a family to take care of to his hectic lifestyle made Inori's father hesitant to return home. Inori barely saw her father, who would say that he had to work until the late hours and didn't have time to see them. It was only when he came home to sign papers with Inori's mother, that Inori could see him. However, instead of the happy family Inori had imagined, she would only see tears, fighting, and anger. Soon after, her father disappeared, severing all ties with Inori and her mother.

At first, Inori's mother was comforting towards her daughter, promising her that she'd protect her no matter what. However, out of fear that the world would take everything from her, Inori's mother first took precautions by pulling Inori out of school. On most days, Inori would spend her time in the family library, re-reading every single book that lied on the shelves. Either that, or she was daydreaming within the company of the flowers in the garden.

Despite living under the same roof with her mother, Inori felt a great distance form between them. Downstairs in the kitchen would remain shattered and empty beer bottles, unwashed dishes, and the barrier that stood between the mother's and daughter's relationship . The pungent, sour smell of alcohol became a normality, along with the many shoes stacked messily at the door that belonged to unknown guests.

When under the influence of alcohol, Inori's mother would often turn hostile towards Inori, locking Inori in the closet whenever she felt that the child had become an eyesore. Inori would then spend the night in her own tears, sleeping on the shattered pieces of her mother's broken heart. At times her mother went to the extreme, neglecting Inori for days to relieve stress with friends; mostly engaging in more substance abuse, leaving the young Inori to starve.

630ae10a88c7be0b4499f4001f8c107913911598_hq.gif

Eventually, Inori became a very ill child. Rather than caring for her daughter, Inori's mother only grew further detached from her. Sometimes the town officials would have to force Inori's mother to take the girl to the hospital. Her mother grew unstable, agreeing she was indeed a terrible wife and mother, but felt that punishing Inori was her only way to earn happiness. In her mind, she was punishing her ex-husband for leaving her. When she looked at the distraught face of her daughter, she could only see the face of the man who had left her. At the same time, she also partially blamed the birth of Inori to be the cause of her problems. She needed something to blame.

As the years went by, Inori's mother's condition would worsen. Broken shards of glass accompanied with messy piles of dishes were left to greet young girl. It also didn't help the fact that Inori's mother discovered that Inori's father had remarried to another woman. However, just when she thought that she would feel grief, she felt only hatred. She hated this man more than anything in the world. Him, the man who she felt took everything away from her. In return, she wanted to take something away from him. She looked behind her, seeing the small frail being stare back at her in silence. Blue...just like the ocean. Inori's mother thought to herself, gently pressing her thumb to the side of Inori's eye. "They're just like your fathers." Inori's mother had said, her expression turning into a slight smile. "He once told you that he would take you to the sea, remember? I'll take you there."

--------------------

PHYSICAL

--------------------

Appearance:

Inori is a small pale-skinned girl with very long light blue hair that ombres into a violet color and has round blue eyes. She stands at about 5ft tall with an overall small frame. She's often commented by others as looking very fragile, due to her very slender figure. Her usual attire consists of a white plain dress that she wore at the time of her death. However, she also likes to wear over-sized clothing. When traveling with her master, she prefers to walk barefooted, feeling that shoes are too constricting of her movements and to feel more immersed in the world.

Her name symbol, 祈 , is located in the middle of the back of her neck.

Regalia form:
In this form, Inori transforms into a sword similar to that of a katana. Its blade releases powerful mystic energies but must be handled appropriately by the user for critical blows.

Power Scaling:
Level 2

Skills & Abilities:
Inori often gets very emotional over mangas and sometimes even tries to impersonate characters from them as well. As a bookworm, she is very engaged in reading and learning about the world around her. She can never travel without a book to read on the road. Along with that, Inori is also very skilled in video games, mostly due to her dragging her master to the arcade every so often. She is a striving chef, picking up random herbs and plants outside to create all sorts of meals and concoctions.

Weaknesses:
Inori has a fear of the dark, due to being locked in a closet when she was younger.

Name: Moriya 毛里矢 (Mori 森)

Sex: Female

Appearance
Moriya.jpg
As drawn by 'ebb' on here.
Mori React3.jpg
Morii_-.jpg
moriii.png
GUMI.full.317891.jpg
wallhaven-429771.jpg
wallpaper-711401.jpg
Moriya looks twenty years of age, and she has only been around for almost a hundred years. She is quite short, around 5’2. She has short, mint green hair, usually styled longer in one side, but sometimes also in a pixie cut. She is incredibly messy and discordant, and that is also shown in her outfits, usually consisting of non-matching colors and loose clothing, but she is always seen wearing a beret. She has green eyes and usually looks very pale.

Kind of God
Moriya is a goddess of nature. Particularly, she is a Goddess devoted to plants, herbs, trees, and flowers. Her lineage had been first created by the wishes of peoples in the dim and distant past. She now lives only in the memories of some florists, herbalists, tree-growers; since nowadays most people pray to Konohanasakuya-hime concerning things related to nature. Her past—her childhood, her lineage—is unclear to her. More importantly, Moriya is also the Goddess of Complex and Intricate Patterns, such as those that flowers make when they grow, or the pattern present in a tree’s bark. For this reason, some of her followers are to be found in the likes of scientists. She prefers to guide herself by the time of the seasons rather than modern mechanical time.

Skills and Limits
Moriya has deep knowledge of many areas related to nature; to plants, herbs, fruits, among other things. Where and how plants grow, which curative herbs are useful according to an injury, which fruits are the most fit depending on what you want to ingest, the subtle difference between tree’s wood, in which pattern a particular flower grows. Some of these might be useful in combat, while some are just part of her life and hobby. She has an amazing memory for details like these, while usually forgetting simple reminders or how to do simple tasks.

Moriya is very precise with her hands and her finger movements. In a fight, she’d rather fight from a distance. Therefore, a weapon like Saki fits her perfectly, as she’d be able to move it right where she wants it to go. This also means that she’s not really good at hand-to-hand combat: while her reflexes and movements are graceful and fast, she’d only be able to dodge and dodge, not having much strength to hit and not knowing much about the human body or martial arts—about where or how to hit.

Like most Gods, she can use teleportation, but she hasn’t developed this ability much, preferring to travel by other means, like walking or by bicycle. As she hasn’t had to fight much before, she also lacks experience using fast teleportation. She is also able to use divine possession, but will never use it, out of the respect for the person being possessed, unless it is for a very dire need; therefore she is not acquainted with it.

Specialty
It is said the soil becomes more fertile and productive when Morī is around. She cannot exactly communicate with plants—although she wishes she could—but it is said they are warmed by her presence and so tend to grow better and stronger if she stays for a long period of time. As she is the goddess of complex and intricate patterns, she easily finds little ayakashi that plague plants or humans in-between such little slits that neither the human eye nor many Gods’ would be able to recognize so easily.

When she is among plants and trees, her senses are heightned, she is able to move, dodge, and teleport faster. Still, an increase in strength is not observed. She is able to utilize plants, trees, etc to aid her in her fights, but she will always ask for their permission and will do so with extreme caution—helping them to grow afterwards; this ability takes a great toll on her.

Personality
Since her mother’s death, Morī has suffered quite a change. As she is in no one’s company, she feels deeply alone and rarely shows her brighter side, defaulting back to a more… indifferent way of behavior. She is only seen as cheerful when talking about nature or when interacting with it. This is probably because of her bottling up of emotions that has been going on ever since the death of her mother and her errant quest for, well, this which she doesn’t know how to achieve. Yet, her intentions are always good-hearted, trying to help people if they need it, hardly ever rejecting any job unless she deems it harmful to nature. She cares not for what other people or Gods think of her; she is incredibly messy, and always easily forgets where she left things, since her working memory is not that great. For example, if she walks from one room to another to do something, chances are high she’ll forget what she went in for.

Probably because of the fact that she always had a quiet life with her mother and their garden, her self-control is phenomenal, rarely falling into temptations and always keeping her head straight and on the go; rarely getting distracted by sensory output. Yet, her emotions tend to be a mess, but it is difficult for her to get actually angry, if anything she will just ‘shut down’ or ignore someone.

She is rarely seen without a book—usually a book about nature at that—that helps her pass the time in her long trips around Japan while learning more and more about the world. Learning is one of her most important goals, and she will usually choose an informative book rather than a manga or a fiction book. She wants to start knitting, just like her mother did for her, but she always ends up leaving the clothes half-done.

As for rules and regulation, she usually utterly despises them, preferring the natural way of interacting that should surely be kind-hearted. Therefore, she rejects the High Skies and their forms and artificial manners, as well as the duties for a God and a Regalia—although her moral compels her to do similar things, but “out of the natural way, not imposed rules, you see”. Furthermore, when talked about Regalia, she thinks they’re power balance should be as equals and not master-slave; as many Gods abuse of this use of them as weapons or objects.

As a person: Sakira

As a vessel: Takki

Regalia’s clan name: -ra

History
Moriya was born around a sixty years ago. She does not know when exactly, as she was actually raised by a human, half-Ayakashi. She recognizes this person alone as her mother. They used to live in a house in Furano-shi, Hokkaidō, with a big garden where they grew fruits and vegetables, where they planted herbs and even saw trees grow. But once she reached the age of 10, her mother couldn’t keep it from her anymore: she told her daughter the truth of how she was actually a God and how she wasn’t actually her mother. For some time, she ignored this and went on with her life, but most of her friends seemed to forget she was there, as if they couldn’t actually see her. “Yes, that is the curse.” and her mother told her all she knew about what type of God she was to be, and she told Morī how happy she’d be, watching from the Heavens, to see how her daughter made the world a brighter, more cheerful, and more natural world, full of green; and she implored her to explore the world and to make it so. Then she passed away, smiling. Morī looked around 16 years in this moment.

After this, Moriya went on with the routine she used to do with her Mother, but she felt deep pain inside, affliction and sorrow. How could this be happening? Why had she lost her mother? And who was the one that had given birth to her?

She ended up fulfilling her mother’s wish, to explore the world. Nowadays, she wanders about Japan—currently Aomori—planting trees, working as a florist, etc. She harbors resentment towards the great Gods who, she deems, are not overlooking well the balance between the expansion of society and nature; but she also despises her rules and privileges that make lesser-known Gods disappear, and she hates how these Gods seem to do anything in order to keep control of the High Skies. She hasn’t even been given a plot of land in Takamagahara, no matter how many times she filled in the form!

Yuuma Kobayashi
小林 悠真

nickname:
Kobe | The literal meaning is "God" (Ko, 神) "door" (Be, 戸). It's also the name of the city of Kobe, which is named after the people who supported the city's Ikuta Shrine, and is the namesake of Kobe beef. He likes it because of the latter but was ultimately given the name as a reference to a giant basketball player.

age:
seventeen, nearly eighteen

gender:
male

first glance:
Thanks to his distinctive appearance, it’s not much of a task to find Kobe in a crowd. With his long, lanky body and what he calls “model-esque” legs, he stands a few inches over six feet tall. He's only in shape because of the runs he goes on, so his stature, with his broad shoulders and wide arm-span, gives him a willowy look, despite the toothy grin he sports. Even his hands, as large as they are, can easily grip a person’s face; he only knows this because he’s tried it before. The actual antithesis of his gangly form, though, is his face. Kobe credits his nightly skincare routine, which takes up most of his study time and leaves him with suffering grades, for his fine, pale skin.

His blue, catlike eyes match his Ayakashi tail and though large, are often narrowed, which may be off-putting to some. However, his plum-colored hair, or more so the accessories he wears in it, gives him a more youthful, innocent look. He wears it in a small, loose ponytail often decorated with colorful headbands, pins, clips, and elastics that are made by brands like Sanrio and San-X who put adorable, lil' characters on them. While it’s mainly a form of expression, to show his interest in cutesy things, he wakes up every morning praying the accessories could help tame his hair.

Kobe could easily pass as an adult in his casual attire- which despite his interest in fashion, is often just a plain pink, deep-neck shirt and jeans. That’s why he believes people are so surprised to see him in his school uniform- a blue dress shirt and loose tie under a cream sweater, a maroon blazer, and tan checkered trousers. He has to have his clothes tailored to fit him, but even then, his pants don’t fit quite right, forcing him to wear a nylon belt.

deeper look:
Anyone who has attended any of his mother’s social events know Kobe as the life of the party, and those acquainted with him on a more personal level know him as a bubbly, fun-loving kid with an eccentric passion for anything cute and cuddly. This mania of his- which is evident by his collection of keychains, stuffed animals, and shoujo manga- extends not only to inanimate objects but also to anyone shorter than him, which happens to make up a large population of people. He has a certain soft spot for them and treats them like he would a younger sibling. It’s actually a complex of sorts, as he attempts to replace his missing sister, who had a massive impact on him growing up. He had sworn to himself that he’d be his sister’s protector, and having failed, he tries to convince himself he’s still a respectable, reliable older brother. Kobe gets a sort of satisfaction from being affectionate, sometimes overwhelmingly, with others. He’s generous with his time, money, and support, and he enjoys the feeling he gets from doing small things for others, whether it be bringing them their favorite snack, cooking for them, and whatnot.

His outward persona, while giving him brief satisfaction, comes at the cost of his own contentment. Deep down, he understands that he can’t replace his sister, but to stop and accept that she’s actually gone would shatter his soul. Knowing that he already lost her and that he fails to get close to others because of his overbearing nature, his fear of being alone in the world has found itself ingrained in his personality. He gets platonically jealous more than he should, and he’s sometimes too clingy to handle. Kobe’s childish, as well, outside from when he’s forced to be stuffy and polite. He’s pouty when things don’t go his way but has been seen to only do this for effect, since he doesn’t really care either way. His classmates regard him as a playboy due to his flirtatious behavior, which consists of intimate touches with people he hasn’t even introduced himself to and hardly ever using honorifics. He’s popular with the girls at his school, due to his charm and outspoken nature, yet he only surrounds himself with people, sometimes those he shouldn’t be associated with, to keep himself from being lonely. His positive facade attracts others, as seen by how his schedule is so often filled with after-school plans and how his phone buzzes with notifications. However, a trained eye can pick up the hints Kobe gives off. His idealism is used as an attempt to convince himself of what he hopes is true, because his own harsh, self-critical thoughts scare himself. He often makes cheerful remarks, only to follow them up with serious or intimidating afterthoughts. A rare few have been able to see that although he acts flamboyantly, most of his actions are ingenuine or overly played out.

Truthfully, Kobe believes he has a disgusting personality. He has a ruthless temper that often spikes out of nowhere and has a tendency to resort to violence during these times, and despite being wracked with guilt, he’s picked up his father’s trait of not being able to apologize directly. Although he reads social cues easily, his anger makes it difficult for him to stop what he’s started, even if he knows what he’s saying or doing is wrong. Kobe’s pushy and has been known to stick himself into situations he should stay out of, also.

Aside from that, Kobe fills his time with his sister’s hobbies and interests. He reads magazines daily to keep up with the trends and has begun to understand his sibling’s hatred for kitsch fashion. He follows his skincare regimen religiously, leaving him unable to keep up with homework, and is thought to be a masochist by his friends because he enjoys the feeling of peel-off masks. Kobe’s become a very superstitious person over the years and has started praying daily. He goes to shrines frequently as well and keeps a Sanrio omamori for the well-being of his family in his shirt pocket. Kobe also loves listening and or watching people talk about whatever it is they’re passionate about and will admire anyone who openly speaks about their interests. He took up cooking as a kid by watching his mother around the kitchen, both to settle his own ferocious appetite and to be able to cook for his sister; he’s known to take food and candy, specifically chocolate covered biscuits, as bribes.

the reason why you ended up being a Half-Ayakashi:
concussion after bumping into a god, will basically be his introduction

skills:
Probably some of the few things Kobe can contribute are his wealth and his numerous connections. From having attended his mother's extravagant parties, a few of his father's business meetings, and his brothers' study sessions with their rich classmates, Kobe was able to get acquainted with very powerful people, and he uses that to his advantage- whether that means getting a product before it's released, getting into places he shouldn't go, or being invited to exclusive events. He's also a fine cook, and at times, he'll make his own skincare masks at home with the few plants he grows.

Now a half-Ayakashi, Kobe has some abilities he'd rather not have. One of which is astral projection- where he leaves his body, sometimes without realizing it. He doesn't have much control over when it happens, but he's realized that it occurs mostly when he's overwhelmed, such as when he picks up a god's scent or just when he's stressed. This secondary form of his has acquired enhanced strength, speed, and agility that allows him to somewhat keep up with the Far Shore creatures around him. While he isn't a professional fighter of any kind, Kobe's gotten into a few brawls spanning throughout his school years, so he believes he might be able to hold his own at times.

history:
Yuuma Kobayashi, known to most as Kobe, was blessed at birth, having been born into a rich, upper-class family. His busy father, the CEO of a software engineering company in Tokyo, has never been around much, and his mother, wrestling the task of handling five children, including Kobe himself and his three older brothers, could hardly give the boy the attention he desired. However, Kobe’s fraternal twin sister was born only a few minutes after him, so he got all the attention he wanted from her. He has many great memories of her, such as: the time he spilled milk all over his school uniform so nobody would bother his sister about the stain on her shirt; when they’d sing ballads together at karaoke boxes and could never seem to harmonize; the times they’d spend at ice cream parlors to cheer each other up; when one of those times, his sister shoved her ice cream cone in his face and whined about no longer being able to eat it; and especially when she’d sit at the table and would rant and rave about her day or whatever she was interested in at the moment, waiting to eat the food Kobe was making for her.

It’s understandable, then, that when the two had gotten into one of their heated arguments- one about the girl’s newest boyfriend, who Kobe greatly disapproved of-, he went to bed guilty. Kobe couldn’t fall asleep because of it, so in the midst of the night, he knocked on her door. He heard her shout, presumably at him, to leave, so he did. Kobe went back to his room and didn’t get out of bed until he heard his mother yelling that morning. He had come to realize that his sister was gone, vanished without a trace when he could’ve easily stopped her. With his constant attempts to search for his sister, who supposedly ran off, failing, he gave up hope and shut himself in his room for months. He only joined the land of the living when his mother told him that she didn’t want to lose him like she did with his sister. However, he stepped out a changed man, one who had taken up the interests of his sister to keep her image alive. His new immature behavior widened the rift between him and his family, specifically his father. They, much like himself, had already condemned him for his mistakes that night, and as one can imagine, it makes family dinners terribly uncomfortable.

trivia:
- He wears a Hello Kitty apron [
x] when he’s in the kitchen and has made his own recipe-book out of an old, flower-covered notebook his sister gave him. Inside are his observations about what the people he cooks for like and don’t like, as well as footnotes about what he should cook if a family member or friend deserves to be rewarded for a job well done. Personally, his favorite dish is Sukiyaki.
- Kobe enjoys talking to people on the phone, and if he's away from the main estate, he'll call his mother to tell her goodnight. Often, he’ll call his sister’s old number, hoping she'll pick up.
- He goes to Aomori High School, a place with a rich history that frankly leaves him frightened to walk down the halls alone.
- His family's estate in Tokyo is called The Kobayashi Garden House because of the massive, nearly thousand square foot garden hidden behind the house. Kobe's parents and two of his older brothers live in the estate, his youngest brother being an exception since he's studying abroad. His middle brother studies botany, and the eldest is taking up his father's business. Kobe lives in a two-story house in Aomori his father pays for. The reason why he wanted to live there and not in Tokyo with his family hasn't been explained.

He’s also over protective of his wielder though he refused to admit to it and will change the conversation the moment anyone brings it up. nickname(s):
Mei (命), sometimes affectionately called Mei-Mei. In her heyday, she was referred to as Un but ultimately gave the name up due to the misconceptions it caused (it means fate, so she was falsely advertised as being connected to the seven gods of fortune.)

gender:
female, but some older manuscripts, specifically those from the time of her creation, misgender her

first glance:
With an overall look similar to a Yuurei, a glance at Unmei would surely cause someone like Kobe to run away screaming. She has a pale, ghostly complexion, which she blames on her lack of time spent in the Near Shore, and charcoal-colored, pencil-straight hair that falls right above her knees. It's usually worn in a low ponytail and is held together by a ribbon made of washi paper, in a similar fashion of shrine maiden. Her hair's often disheveled since it's hard to maintain, but she refuses to chop it all off because she's worried her lack of other feminine features would cause others to misgender her again. She used to wear it in intricate, traditional styles that kept it intact, but she refuses to do that in light of modern society.

There was a passage from long ago that said something along the lines of, "If eyes are truly the windows to the soul, Unmei-no-Mikoto has those [eyes] of a dead fish." She, finding it disrespectful, destroyed any copies and copiers. However, she's since been self-conscious of her pitch-black, pupil-less eyes.

Unmei's limbs seem to dangle almost lifelessly, and her body stretches out to five feet, seven inches. She used to cover herself up with traditional attire- kimonos, furisodes, and the like. Yet since she's been trying to assimilate into modern society, she's started wearing what she sees on the street. She's settled on wearing very mod-style, teddy-boy-esque clothes with patterned pants and long, colorful coats. Unmei layers her clothes no matter the weather, often putting a dress shirt, t-shirt, or sweater over a turtleneck. She's always seen with weird, ironically trendy shoes, like dramatic platform sandals or tennis shoes, or sometimes crocs or slippers. From her time spent in Akihabara, she'll sometimes wear themed outfits, like cosplays or maid attire, because she's seen others do it.

god of:
Unmei's a goddess of guidance. More specifically, she was conceived to protect people during difficult times, such as when making tough decisions, and lead them down the right path. She was sub-classified as a god of strategy and policy back in the day, which ultimately led to her popularity amongst daimyos. Nowadays, she's just considered the patron of children, specifically teenagers, and is really only celebrated on Coming of Age Day. The rest of the year, many a god can easily take her place.

personality:
Most of the surviving texts about Unmei-no-Mikoto give her the likeness of a menacing, ruthless god. She's recognized by her strict, to-the-point attitude and wise, almost shrewd advice that led many people to positions of power. While being known for the latter is more than favorable, Unmei never meant to give off this impression and because it's so off-course, has been since trying to correct it.

It's true that Unmei is like her appearance, uncomfortable to be around. Her lack of expression, and what sometimes seems to be a lack of empathy, can be unbearably offputting. In actuality, despite the proverbs she speaks and the advice she gives, Unmei displays a lack of understanding of human behavior, like sarcasm and general humor. She tries to make people more comfortable around her by speaking in a joyful, almost absentminded tone, something she realized was cute in popular culture, but the composed, blank face she constantly sports often makes her words seem ingenuine and eerie. Even her compassion can come off as creepy. Unmei fails with technology, seemingly destroying every device she can get her hands on. Many, if not most, of her attempts to assimilate into modern society crash and burn, but she continues despite this.

She's very worried that if she gives up and ties herself down in Takamagahara, she'll continue to be forgotten. Unmei only wishes to relate to the people and find her place among them, thus becoming popular once again, but she holds a fear of the Near Shore and it's older inhabitants, since she believes they'll lead her, a god of guidance, down the wrong path. Though, it's also her fondness for their customs that motivates her to continue on her journey in the Near Shore. She'll sometimes act too eager to do what she thinks are normal human activities, meaning whatever she saw someone else, anyone else, do. She'll repeat whatever someone said or did at any given moment, often without context and often while keeping her stoic face. She tries to harbor an interest in everyday things and may get overexcited about something mundane, like how phones can talk back to you and whatnot. Unmei does, however, prefer the traditional and feels homesick in big cities. She seems to understand most age-old practices, like tea ceremonies, parties involving geishas, and old children's games. She considers these things to be her greatest pleasures and greatly respects anyone who tries to uphold these traditions and mannerisms.

Unmei has one consistent quirk: having trouble with small decisions. It's ironic considering her title, but she can never decide what to order off a menu or what she should wear. It takes hours upon hours for her to choose, so she usually leaves thoses things up to whoever's with her.

skills and its limits:
Unmei prides herself in being able to discern right from wrong, fact from fiction, and truth from lies with minimal visual and audible clues. In a sense, she's perceptive beyond the natural capability of the average human being. For example, she can pick up on small twitches of the body and minor differences in tone of voice. The problem is, she normally isn't certain on what these signs mean and definitely doesn't know how to use them to her advantage. She used to excel at it until the shift in times led to a less formal, less traditional culture. Nowadays, she often has to confront someone about their own behavior to understand it, which doesn't always end up well. Other times, she'll ask her regalia for an explanation.

specialty:
As a goddess of Guidance, Unmei has the role of advising people to make the right decisions, so essentially, she acts as a secondary conscious. An angel on the shoulder, so to speak. She has the ability to plant ideas into the minds of others, to nudge them in whatever she believes to be the right direction, by saying it aloud. Afterward, whenever the person is faced with the problem or happens to be thinking about it, the suggestion will repeat itself as if it's their own idea. Ultimately, it's still up to the person to make their own call, and the strong-willed or dim-witted often don't listen to her.

history:
What Unmei knows of her life, or rather lives, comes from old scriptures. The first time she was ever mentioned in literature was in the Kamakura Period, although the exact date was never indicated, where she was recognized as a stern, authoritative god. From what was written, she was revered and highly respected amongst many for her guidance. She supposedly tended to the prayers of the Kamakura Shogunate, but the only real evidence to support that is the outstanding number of shrines dedicated to her constructed during that time.

During the end of the period, when the Mongols threatened to conquer the land, the Shogunate flocked to Unmei. She advised they build barriers similar to the Great Wall, and it worked. Kublai Khan’s fleet was stuck afloat in the ocean, looking for a place to board, yet they wouldn’t give up. Wanting the Nearshore to be peaceful again, she went to the god Fuujin and asked for his help in exchange for a favor in the future. He destroyed the fleet with the great Kamikaze, the divine wind, which was a giant typhoon.

Despite her intervention, the land and its people weren’t in peace forever. The Kamakura dynasty she adored was crushed with financial debts and replaced by the Ashikaga Shogunate, who she disapproved of from the very beginning. She was heavily involved in the war against their planned heir. Allegedly, she brought Chinese weapons, like exploding arrows and catapults, into the Onin War, but her involvement didn’t matter in the long run. Neither side won, and she was killed by an unnamed god.

Upon rebirth, she was left in the supervision of her lead shinki, Haruko. Unmei grew under the stern care of her overseer and knew little of affection or the discord taking place in the Near Shore. The civil war she was apart of led to the Sengoku Period, and now, the young god heard more prayers than before.

In 1551, the middle of the period and a year she thought she’d never forget, Unmei left her castle in Takamagahara and subsequently abandoned her shinki. The sight of the Near Shore shocked her. Some of her shrines were burned to the ground, possibly in retaliation for her part in the war. The land was divided and in complete political uproar, and people were killing each other off everywhere she turned. Yet, in the midst of the chaos, she was rescued. The son of a minor daimyo, Oda Kichihoushi, threw himself in front of a horse to save her, and although it wasn’t necessary, she believed it her duty to repay him. She guided the “Fool of Owari” into becoming the first of the three unifiers of Japan, Oda Nobunaga.

Without the aid of her shinki, who she continually forced back to the Farshore, she took her place at Nobunaga’s side, acting as his supervisor. She sponsored free trade with Ebisu, the god of commerce, in mind and found a passion in the land’s culture. After conquering Inabayama Castle and naming it and the land around it Gifu, Nobunaga popularized her there, replacing her torn-down shrines with large, beautiful temples.

Eventually, Oda Nobunaga let his success get to his head. He planned to conquer all of the land, and with most of his work done, he ditched Unmei for the pleasures in life. His attention was held by his vassals, and he stopped listening to her advice entirely. Unmei refused to leave his side despite this, and when Akechi Mitsuhide, Nobunaga’s retainer, turned on him and the Oda Clan, she defended him to the best of her capability. Yet, since she had kept her shinki away and subsequently failed, Nobunaga, and many of his comrades, committed seppuku. Unmei was so affected by his death that when she returned to Takamagahara after years of moping in the Near Shore, she decided to join him. Her shinki couldn’t pierce through her, and as a consequence, she released every single one of them. She began begging the gods for mercy, and only one accepted, although with a few exceptions.

When she was reincarnated a second time, the god, who had made many of her old shinki his own, forced Haruko, now Akemi, to guide Unmei a second time. With him involved, Unmei was taught to keep away from the Near Shore. She read of her demises, the two of them, and began to fear the world, yet the passion she had for the culture and the people it was connected to persisted. Unmei prayed to the god, telling him she had repented already, and was eventually allowed to experience the Near Shore with caution.

Unmei began leaving Takamagahara a decade ago, while only visiting the land for short periods of time, but has since planned to explore the world for herself and guide the people like it’s said she did in the past.

Transformation: -Huge Owl-

Whose god do you serve?: - Valefar Valefar -

Personality: -Koishi tends to be a brighter, more bubbly individual. He's usually found with a smile planted on his face. Not really a very outspoken person, though. He lets his actions speak for him, and they do a pretty good job of it too. He's got prefect manners, especially when it comes to treating ladies like they should be treated. Koishi is very dedicated to anything and everything he does, and doesn't like to leave things unfinished when it comes to house-hold tasks or other things like that. He has an eye for detail that makes him great at spotting problems from a distance. While he may be bubbly and welcoming, he too enjoys being alone with a good cup of tea or a nice afternoon without interruptions in nature. He's pretty good at comprehending when someone is in need of a little tender loving care, but he couldn't care less about the smart, logic-y or science-y problems of the world. When you get down to it, his philosophy on those problems is if it doesn't hurt the heart, it's not important enough to fix it. -

Power Scaling: -2-

Appearance Description: -As a lad who is borderline average height, Koishi is an interesting character. At some point during his life, it seems, he was ambitious enough to try to dye his hair from it's original sandy blonde color into a vibrant shade of... wait for it... pink. He doesn't know or care how exactly this happened, but he was unable to completely dye his hair pink. Actually, he only managed to dye a small portion of his hair, ranging from the front left half to about midway back on that side. The rest of his hair is still sandy blonde. His hair is more of a medium-short length with bangs that fall in front of his eyes constantly. Moving on to his eyes, they happen to be more normal than his odd hair, bearing a nice green tint to them. He's got a constellation of freckles under his eyes spanning across his cheeks on both sides. He has a thin build, but he's more lean than just skinny. Koishi's skin is a nice tan, slightly on the paler side but it's still pre-tty obvious. It's also obvious he must have spent a lot of time in the sun in the past. He's got smaller hands and smaller feet too. That about sums him up, outside of attire.-

Age: 17
Gender: Female
Skill/Specialty: Skilled singer/guitarist and blue belt in karate
Personality:
Ayaka is a loving and caring individual who cares about everything. She’s the type of person who will see someone having a bad day and try her hardest just to make them smile. Always giving everything her all she doesn’t know what it means to give up because it simple isn’t in her dictionary.
History
Her parents were always moving because of her father’s job so it didn’t allow her to keep many friends at a young age. Though that never bothered her because she always and still does have her imaginary friend “Buddy” he stayed by her side through everything. She started singing at the age of four in the car with her parents and that started her singing passion and started the guitar at ten which only helped with her already silky voice. She would put on shows all across her neighborhood and when people would try giving her money for her performance she would give it back because she did to see the smiles on everyone’s face.

How she ended up a Half-Ayakashi One day while walking home from school with her guitar behind her she took the normal alley to get home since she was so excited about sharing the news about her new friend to her parents. But today was different she wasn't alone there was someone walking towards her paying no mind since she hadn't made no claim of the alley she continued on Ayaka continued on her way home yet once the person passed her he made a grab for her guitar which had made her start struggling and screaming for help. This prompted the man to panic and not knowing what else to do he hit her upside the head with a trashcan lid and kept doing it until Ayaka was out cold and bleeding severely from the head. Not even grabbing what he was after the man ran out of the alley where the bleeding Ayaka was laying to die until someone seen her and called an ambulance. She thankfully survived but had amnesia from the blunt trauma all she did remember was how to play the guitar which she played everyday in the hospital during her recovery and gradually remembered everything and didn't have any bitter seed planted in her for what the man had done instead he forgave him in her mind and gave him the benefit of the doubt he just needed the money. After a second recall of the event his clothes was ripped and tattered beyond repair and he seen abnormally skinny.

I forgive you for what you've done to me. I'm not even mad I understand when people are desperate they're willing to do what they think it is necessary for them to survive. If I ever find you again I'm hoping we can have a normal conversation and maybe even become friends.
This is the note she keeps on her encase she ever finds the man who attacked her.
