Name: Victor Ramirez

Age: 53

Species: Human

Appearance: 6'2"; muscular build with broad shoulders; formerly dark hair now peppered with white and grey hair; warm brown eyes

Role: Protection

Personality: Victor tends to be very friendly and outgoing and he tends to form intense bonds quickly, often being intensely loyal to near-strangers. He is devoted to helping others and he tends to have a "hero complex" tending to try to save people whenever he can, and still sometimes trying to save them even if he knows that he can't. Along with these traits, Victor is often impulsive and usually very reckless though he is capable of operating within the rules unless it interferes with his need to help others.

History: Ramirez began to experience wanderlust and the desire for excitement and for change when he was around fifteen years old, in what Victor considers to have been an otherwise unremarkable childhood, which grew to be unbearable when he was seventeen years old. Despite entering his final year of high school, he couldn't bear the routine any longer and dropped out of school and enlisted in the army. There, he spent the next decades of his life, spending most of his time overseas and participating in "freedom" wars. He watched terrible things happen, but his upbeat nature kept him from internalizing too much of the horrors of what he saw and his main focus was on saving others. His internal hero complex often led him to impulsively abandon mission objectives or directly disobey to attempt to save a life.

He succeeded in saving lives enough times to manage to not be discharged from the army, but it did contribute to many of his superiors growing to dislike him and he did not advance despite the number of years and the number of tours that he had completed. At some point in there, he had managed to convince three poor women to marry him but none of his marriages succeeded and Victor considers his ex-wives to be a nasty footnote in his life. Due to his unique abilities and his devotion to protecting and saving lives, he managed to convince one of his superiors to recommend him for this exciting opportunity.

Abilities: Adoptive Muscle Memory; Victor can replicate any move/ability that he watches perfectly, within his natural limit (meaning that he could not replicate powers and if he watches an Olympic runner that he will not run as fast as that runner as his muscles have not changed or adapted, he may run faster though after watching the runner and observing how to move his muscles differently). Due to his life experiences, Chris is a sharpshooter and rarely ever misses with a gun, he can wield knives with great precision, and has above average hand-to-hand fighting skills though these skills are far from perfect.

Name: Claire Stryker

Age: 34

Species: Human

Appearance: 5'5" and average build; wavy dark red hair that goes several inches past her shoulder; dark brown eyes

Role: Anthropologist

Personality: Claire is generally very outgoing and tends to be very kind. She is more capable of seeing the necessary actions than Victor though she makes her decisions hesitantly and with little commitment. Despite being outgoing she tends to exist more in her mind and she often over-thinks her choices or she aligns herself in the neutral middle territory. She makes a very good peacekeeper as she prefers middle-ground over making decisions though she has no problem asserting herself as needed if she feels confident in something. She does not blindly love people like Victor does but Claire does believe that every person has goodness to them.

Claire does not handle stress well. She believes that the overuse of her powers previously has contributed to this but when she is stressed or overwhelmed, she receives stressful headaches which leads to her becoming cross or impatient with others. She is very tender regarding her powers due to her perception of them actually being a weakness and this topic is something that she guards closely, only Arlet knows due to her position.

History: Claire demonstrated powerful telekinetic abilities when she was younger so she spent most of her teens and some of her 20s using her abilities to defuse bombs. She grew up on a military base where due to her overall friendly nature she made many friends (and relationships more intimate than friends) throughout the years that came and went in such a manner that prevented her from forming serious friendships and relationships.

With each successful bomb disposal, her telekinetic distance seemed to lessen and it soon became impractical for her to continue and she was dismissed at 23. Before leaving that field of work, she was given the opportunity to convert her telekinetic abilities into manual abilities and work sans powers, but she felt the work was too dangerous and otherwise desirable. The work had been stressful for her mind and by the time she had finished lifting books several feet away left her with debilitating headaches and occasional blackouts. After being discharged due to her diminished abilities, Claire took to studies choosing a different mental pursuit by spending the next decade pursuing and obtaining her doctorate in anthropology.

She was beginning to establish herself in her field when her mentor and close friend, Paul Wesson, was asked to attend the trip, however Wesson did not wish to take the opportunity as his daughter had a chronic condition and he felt that she needed his constant care. He recommended that Claire go in his stead with his research and ideas, though initially she was hesitant. Eventually, she came around to the idea and she is now enthusiastic to see the peoples, creatures, and cultures that may be beyond her imagination.

Abilities: Telekinesis - unused for years as her last experiences caused intense migraines and occasional blackouts. Claire also blames her telekinesis for lingering unpleasant headaches and her inability to handle stress without becoming angry.

Name: Chris Collins

Age: 31

Species: Human

Appearance: 5'11" stocky build; dark hair and dark blue eyes.

Role: Mining Engineer (Surveying and crude identification and mapping of potential resources)

Personality: Chris's primary motivation is money. He lives for money and would kill for it. The most important aspect to his life is acquiring wealth and he is unafraid of doing what is necessary to obtain more of it. His motivations/dreams/desires/etc. don't go much deeper than that. Chris is all about the bottom line and he sees other people as accessories to get what he wants.

History: Chris was born to a struggling single mother and grew up not knowing his father. His mother was always busy working so he spent little of his child supervised though the freedom was stifling to him as he craved human affection. He began working at a very young age to help take the stress off of his mother and he has not stopped working since. He found that the more money he had the more people seemed to like him and he was able to realize that money was the real motivator to all. Much like Lance, he could recognize that all people had their prices and he realized that he could buy affection if he wanted it. He could use money to buy anything, really. He grew especially interested in the effect that money had on people and found himself gravitating towards having more. The person who wrote that money couldn't buy happiness was wrong as Chris is living evidence of this, he can buy himself happiness and he is determined to amass a large enough fortune to do so.

Abilities: Dynamic camouflage - Chris is capable of adapting his appearance to appear invisible by adapting the appearance of his surroundings. This dynamic camouflage cannot be maintained for long periods of time and does not mask his scent or prevent others from hearing his movements.

Name: Arlet Lancaster

Age: 27

*Species: Human

Appearance: 5'2", With short black hair, petite with a muscular build, she has eyes are light brown.

600x900_6501_Post_Apocalyptic_2d_sci_fi_post_apocalyptic_cyborg_girl_woman_picture_image_digital_art.jpg

ABility: Arlet is rather unique. She was not enhanced with any unique abilities. Rather she has been placed through a physical wringer. Her military and espionage training has placed her at the peak of human capabilities. She has also gone through a few alterations. Her senses and durability have been enhanced. They are not like that of a person who may have the sight of an eagle but she can hit with remarkable precision that a normal soldier could not. Her durability keeps her safe from most diseases but not all and keeps her from sustaining long term injuries. This comes from several surgeries and skeletal reinforcements, one of which resulted in the removal of her right hand which was replaced by a robot prosthetic. However, she is constantly placed against subjects with abilities in combat both for training and in her everyday duties. She requires this to stay fit for any situation.

Role: Special Forces Commander. Has been selected as the lead in the armed protection of the crew. She is to protect the leader of the group first and then the others in order of importance. She has been authorized to kill any enemy that may hinder the mission be them foreign or domestic. Her attention for detail is uncanny, it takes her a few seconds to learn an entire room and her natural tendency to listen rather than speak allows her to monitor living organisms extremely well.

Personality: Arlet takes command fast and makes decisions faster. Her judgement has always been sound though this makes her come off as cold and dismissive. She feels that allowing one to become too attached to something emotionally can ruin the mission at hand. Though she is ruthless at times, Arlet actually enjoys a peaceful afternoon. She would rather read than place a bullet in a person, it just so happens one is required much more than the other. Arlet is not impulsive, thinking a situation through quickly before make a snap judgement. She has a quiet nature which typically makes her unnoticed in a group, this helps in her line of work.

History: Raised as a military weapon at a young age Arlet quickly moved up the ranks. Arlet never had a true family, no parental figures raised her. Instead she was placed into a new program for future military children. They were allowed the typical comforts of civilians children but were also trained in combat. Her ability to follow orders with mechanical precision, got the upper brass' attention quickly. Soon she was placed into the Raven black ops group. Due to her quiet nature and ferocity her unit adopted the name Snow Leopard for her. She soon lived up to the name being the unit lead specialist in stealth kills and reconnaissance. Arlet has few friends and fewer enemies, due to the fact that she typically kills the latter. But she enjoys it that way, human company is nice but only in short doses, to much makes one weak.

Other: Arlet enjoys knives and will regularly maintain them in her off time. She is shy about her laugh and tries her best not to in front of new people. She carries at least two books with her on every mission. She has a tendency to sleep away from the group on high ground when on missions, so she can monitor them and seek out potential threats.

Name: Lance Greyfield

Age: 32

Species: Human

Appearance:
82baeca23108dbdc28b17dfd95bf01619ee311ca.png
6'1", long black hair, slim frame more of a runners build, dark auburn eyes.

Role: Personal Investor/Musician/Liaison

Personality: Everyone has a price and Lance can pay for all of them. He knows this and shows it. Lance comes off as spoiled, egotistical, and rude. This is because he is. Lance feels that he is the greatest gift to mankind due to his rather posh childhood. When Lance sees what he wants he will take it. No questions asked. He however is not impulsive, he tends to measure and weigh all actions. If he feels he can get something later with less fuss then he will. He is not above sabotage nor lying to get want he wants. He will use anyone and anything to get what he sets his eyes own. The only exception is his twin sister Aarti. She is the only one he will care for and treat decently without fault.

History: Lance grew up in a privileged home that didn't let him forget that he was above all others. He took up music at 6 and quickly became world famous for his many different forms of musical styles. He used his prestige and talents to buy out company after company making him by his 30's, the monopoly king of the entertainment industry. His sister and him are very close. They were given there abilities while still in their mothers womb. This made a very strong connection with them before they were even born. When Lance found out about the new expedition he did what any other billionaire would do. He invested a crap ton of money into it and then bought himself a ticket in. He is well aware that adventure doesn't suit him but that was beside the point. He needed to explore this new world...for investments. Strange but true, his taste have grown and he wants to dominate every market he can. Going on this mission for anyone else would be stupid he is aware. He lacks military training and his public career is only that of a businessman. But who cares he is rich and can do as he pleases. Bringing hs sister along is even more foolish if his sister was not Aarti, her capabilities will be more than useful he believes and since they tend to keep their powers hidden from the world they don't plan on being seen as anything other than civilians. Though this Arlet woman bothers him as his she has already taken in information on them without permission...

Abilities: Spacial Manipulation of Objects/Aarti: Lance has a unique abilities. He can manipulate objects that lack sentience from a short distance at his choosing. As long as conditions are meet. 1st: The object must be a known entity in Lance's mind, if he does not recognize it or cannot interpret it in his mind then he cannot manipulate it. 2nd: The object must show little to no resistance to his ability, so he cannot control a conscience human but one that is willing or near enough to unconsciousness can be controlled. 3rd:He cannot use the same type of object in a day. He can manipulate a car for instance as long as he wants but as soon as he relinquishes control of it, he cannot use it until the following day. 4th: He cannot make an object do anything it is not capable of doing "naturally" so he cannot make a car fly nor a knife speak. 5th: He can manipulate Aarti but afterwards cannot control anything for at least two days or risk going into a coma for a week. Lance is a talented musician and businessman. He is also very knowledgeable of the workings within politics and the government. His contacts are rather wide for a music tycoon and he will pull any string to make his puppets dance. He has taken up archery, fencing, and shooting as part of his breeding but does not use them in typical combat situations but rather for sport. He is not much of a fighter. His true weapon is his charisma and money both of which he has used to cripple a man just as a weapon would.

Other: Lance is very talkative when need be, but he can be very confusing. He keeps his intentions to himself until they require the ear of someone else. He is not beyond malicious acts even violence but like a gentleman he tends to maintain his dignified air for as long as possible.

Name: Aarti Greyfield

Age: 32

Species: Human

Appearance:
7280.jpg
5'9", long black hair, slim frame (very weak), dark auburn eyes.

Role: Tag Along/Civilian/Contractor for local law enforcement

Personality: There is not much in the vessel that is Aarti. At least not at first contact. Aarti is almost completely mute, only speaking to Lance and people she trust, and even then few words are exchanged. Her mind is typically vacant, finding interest in only one object at a time and fixating on it for hours are even days. She is capable of emotions but people have rarely seen her smile or even cry. She tends to find a corner close to her brother if she is in a room, mainly because she feels safest when he is within eyesight. Aarti tends to have the mind of a small child, comprehending things either faster than adults or much slower. This is mainly due to her 'Voice' the manifestation inside her. It feeds off her body and mind, making Aarti's aging process mental and overall health to falter quite a bit. Aarti does not respond well to strong stimuli and her 'Voice' does not approve of violations to its host. She also will react to help her brother in anyway possible.

History: Aarti grew up much in the same life as her brother. Wealthy and privileged however her parents would not allow even a mute to seem undignified. She learn to dress herself and read just like any other child. Throughout life Aarti found being alone with the Voice was typically better than being around people. This led to her life being largely controlled by her brother, which she prefers. They found that puzzle interested her the most and instead of playing field game with Lance she would watch and play with her puzzles. This probably when Aarti is at her best. She has a surprisingly decent talent at finding clues and interpreting what they mean in the hierarchy of an investigation. This has led to a strange relationship law enforcement and her. They will contact her for situations that they find somewhat difficult, making a her a bit of a Sherlock Holmes in that regard. Lance pulls string of course for this to happen but over time he has seen it is very helpful to his sister and he enjoys allowing her to earn her own money once in awhile. Aarti is always close to her brother and does not like long periods away from him.

Abilities: Aarti has a 'Voice' an amorphous creature that can change its states of matter, shape, size and density. It is directly controlled by Aarti, who is in turn typically controlled by Lance. It can communicate with Aarti and can act as her other senses at times. However, the Voice requires her body as a host and thus feeds off her nutrients, meaning Aarti is constantly eating for two. The Voice can be hidden inside her body in various forms (as in her eye or perhaps as highlights in her hair. Aarti also tends to bond well with younger audiences and animals.

Other: Her body is extremely weak and frail. This is because the Voice feeds off of her constantly sapping her. She is not athletic at all and utilizing her body for too many stressing activities can reduce her to long spells of sleep. She enjoys quiet and tends to hum songs she hears quite frequently. Though she doesn't speak much she does enjoy a good puzzle/mystery and will actually show interest in it if it is presented.
