Nobody's Hero

"I-I really couldn't get an image of him, y'know...I was kinda focusing on the pain, but he had kinda like an overcoat thing...and it was...I think...like charcoal black, with a neon blue?" He was trying his best to remember it, but he couldn't, "That's all I got. Why? Do you want to help me find him or something?" He grinned.

Vincent grinned and chuckled to himself softly. "No, not really," he said wrapping his left arm around James's shoulder. "And I've been hearing stories about a vigilante here from a few people recently. I was trying to figure out if it could all be done by the same guy," Vincent said.

"Oh really? I dunno, he was pretty nice...I wish he stayed longer so I could've thanked him..." He sighed, feeling the warm arm over him.

"Well...I guess it's nice to see someone who actually believes me."

"I'm pretty sure he knows you're thankful," Vincent said smirking,"Who wouldn't be grateful some masked hero saved their lives?"

He ruffled James's hair and chuckled looking into the boy's eyes. "I've read the news articles and seen the reports on TV. Plus I don't have a reason to not trust you right now," Vincent said cockily. He patted James immune shoulder and walked off heading to class. Trying to play hard to get.

He smiled as the other ruffled his hair, "I hope he does..." He mumbled, than the stranger began to walk away, heading to class presumably, "Hey! Wait! I don't even know your name!" He called out, still remaining stationary.

Vincent turned around backpack hanging from one shoulder. He grinned at James and showed just the right amount of lip and teeth. "Names Vincent," Vincent said saluting James awkwardly and heading to class. The 2 minute bell rang and Vincent's slow walk turned into a medium paced jog almost instantly as he headed to first period.

James gave a giggle back at the salut, seeing his awkwardness was quite funny, but in a good way.

He headed off to class, not caring if he was late, his teacher didn't mind as long as they actually came to class. Attending isn't this school's forte.
