Despair awaits for the noble souls who have landed on the island with the expectation of having a good time
Too bad that there are crazed murderers on the loose and are hanging around among us
Whatever you've been doing, no matter if you're at home or not, you have received an invitation for a two day stay at the newly opened Paraiso Resort, located on an island off of Palawan, Philippines. It is a party "in your honor", perhaps you may have done something that may have contributed for the better good of the world. Regardless of what it is, you and your friends and family (it did mention that the "person of honor" can invite as much people as they can) decided to take up the invitation and went for the resort, taking a cruise ship or something similar specifically routed for it.
Their nightmare will soon come to fruition once they've set foot on the island
It is only a matter of time until the first murder has been committed
So as you may have guessed it (if you ever did bothered to do it anyway), this is going to be a murder mystery RP. If you ever played games like Danganronpa or, most recently, Among Us, you probably know what's about to go down in this one. Without further ado, here are the rules.
1. RPN rules apply.
2. As always, my word is law. Please respect it.
3. No godmodding, metagaming and power-playing. Nobody likes a cheater.
4. No mary/marty sues, be it from a fandom or an OC, most especially the latter.
5. No drama, we're all here to have fun is all. But if it were to escalate, I will not hesitate to boot out the parties involved.
6. You are only restricted to have one character, but there will be a limit to players who opt to play two characters (provided that they belong to the same fandom).
7. "Players of all posting types welcome! Whether you’re a one-liner, para, multi-para, novella, first person, third person, or second person roleplayer, you’re more than welcome to post here! That being said, please no text speak in your posts (“u” instead of “you”, etc.) and please try and be as grammatically correct as possible! I understand a few mistakes here and there, but please at least put some effort into your posting." - Totally ripped from some old RP, not telling what it is.
8. Please post at least twice in every "phase" (to be explained below). Failure to comply, unless informed otherwise, will be swiftly "murdered" within the RP.
9. No OP characters, nuff said.

MECHANICS
To those who knew me for a long time, you probably know how this goes. Don't worry, this won't be a recurring thing going forward (remember the list of planned RPs on the Discord?). Simply put, I, the GM, will be assigning roles in every "phase". These roles are:
Killers: Three random people will be chosen by me via DM and their job is to straight up murder one (or two if duo) player per "Death Phase". Every time someone dies, they'll have to report it to me of their kill, how they done it and must keep it a secret from everyone else, both IC and OOC, including their roles. The rest of the unassigned characters will be left to investigate the crime scene, search for clues, discuss and then finally vote within the IC only who is the most likely suspect of the murder.
Detectives: Two random people will chosen by me via DM per "Investigation Phase" and it is their job to guess which among the unassigned players was the one responsible for the murder. Much like the Killers, they must keep secret of their roles as important as their guesses.
Every round will have six phases:
Death Phase: This is where everyone is gathered to the murder scene.
Investigation Phase: Characters begin to look for clues in regards of the murder.
Discussion Phase: Characters discuss among themselves who is the most likely suspect of the murder.
Judgement Phase: The suspect will have to make an effort to defend themselves from being outed as the killer, court room style.
Verdict Phase: This is where I decide if the Detective's guess is right or wrong.
Free Phase: Basically a breather from the above phases. Characters are allowed to do whatever they want until the next day (read: next murder).
Anyone who was killed within the RP will not have to worry about being left out as there will be an after life for them to participate. As to what it is will be seen IC.
If you have any questions, take it away. Do note that this is my first time conducting an RP of this genre, which used to be a thing before..."circumstances" caused a bit of a decline. I'm not going to call this an attempt to revive the genre. This is more of a throwback to the good old days where fandom crossovers were very flourishing.
