» Ethan Lefebvre
Having grown tired of kicking sand at Florian, Ethan turned back to focus on the game just in time to see Alex spike the ball straight towards him. Her burst of enthusiasm was infectious, but the redhead still found himself stumbling to get back into position due to the lack of setup from the opponents’ side. By reflex, he reached forward as the ball rapidly drew closer, and the ball drew a neat arc over the net from the resulting collision. With his head, that is. The motion was oddly natural and practiced in spite of its randomness considering they were playing volleyball and not soccer. Ethan himself wasn’t quite aware of his mistake until the ball had already fallen towards the back of the opponents’ court, where Ruki was stationed.
Well, shit.
Ethan audibly groaned. His mistake meant another free chance to an easy setup for the opponent. Still, he was quick on the rebound and trained his eyes on the trajectory of the ball. He needed to get his head into the game—figuratively this time.
Glory (and ice cream) to the victor.
