A character-driven, over-the-top, sci-fi/fantasy roleplay

You awake in a wasteland devoid of life, your mind empty of memories, but your body, filled with unlimited energy. Nothing can touch you, but you have the power to destroy it all.







You're an Immortal, your soul is filled with a unique energy that you can produce and manipulate at will, your body cannot be harmed, only your soul, and only by the energy of another Immortal. Will you fight to protect the mortals of this world? Increase your power through determination? Or will you devour the souls of Mortals and Immortals alike? Gaining endless power in order to become a demon?






In this roleplay, you can create an "Immortal" character with an ability of your choosing such as "Fire" "Water" etc. Along with this ability, your body can no longer be harmed and no longer requires food or water. Also, your basic physical abilities such as speed, strength and endurance will all be increased to inhuman levels based upon your experience as an Immortal. You can choose to introduce your character at any point in your journey, whether it be at the point after you make your away off the desolate planet you woke up on, or perhaps when you have already made a name for yourself throughout the universe, and have become a well-known celebrity. You will be given free reign to continue the story however you like, whether it be to consume the souls of any beings you come across in order to gain power, or prove yourself to be the most powerful Immortal in a tournament, gaining the adoration of fans across the universe.

Rules

- The basics, no godmodding or metagaming, and no romance


- No one liners, make your posts at least a small paragraph of 3-4 lines, though if you are in a conversation/battle with someone who is able to respond immediately, small posts are not an issue


- Post at least once every few days, and let me know if you'll be inactive, also do not join if you plan to be inactive for weeks at a time


- Proof read your posts, and do not use difficult to read or small text in your posts

Out of curiosity, do you have an idea as to posting requirements/ number of characters you're looking for?

I'm mostly looking for people who can be consistently active, detail doesn't matter too much as long as you don't go days without posting (without letting me know). Ideally I would like 10 or so people, enough for me to set up a tournament, though I would start the RP if I get about 5 people interested, and keep it open for applications.

Hello, I was curious about joining up for this RP and wanted to know exactly what powers could be available? I've always preferred my character to have control over darkness or specifically the Undead, using them to achieve what she wants done. I'm not sure if that would be plausible but, I could always try a different type of ability. (I'm flexible in that regard) I am interested in joining on the whole, if you don't mind taking a new person like me along for the ride.

Hey there, I'd love to have you join, all I really need are people who can be active.


Regarding powers, its a little hard to define, but you will be able to create and control a certain "substance", such as fire, light, sound, etc. Seeing as darkness doesn't exactly "exist", I didn't intend to include that, but going off of the undead idea, your power could be "Flesh" ? Where you can create muscle tissue, skin, organs etc (but without bones), and manipulate an army of creatures that way? I'm sure there's a lot of interesting things you could pull off with that. (:

Hello, I am interested in joining, but I was wondering whether or not my ability would be allowed.


I was thinking about Organic Manipulation

Hmm, well how about Plant Manipulation ? It is actually a variation of Organic Manipulation, but I had the thought after reading about the character waking up in a lifeless wasteland.

And feel free to make it as over-the-top as you like, in order to keep up with more typical abilities like fire etc

Plant Manipulation is extremely dangerous if used properly. Poison Ivy was capable of creating carnivorous plants, and even make a tree's bark as strong as steel.

I am trying to decide between joining as a justice driven 'awakened immortal' or as an eccentric and established media icon celebrity who is sacrificing mortals to gain power, fame, and following while posing as the 'good guy' gaining universal leadership. Thoughts?

Are all Immortals capable of leaving their birth planet unaided?

@Embeyz The celebrity would be really interesting, just keep in mind that the "sacrificing" of mortals involves eating their souls and going on the path to becoming a demon, making it harder to keep up the "good guy" persona, which could be very entertaining. (: It'll be good to a have a truly "Neutral Evil" character.


@Seraph Darkfire Yes, though naturally it would take a little practice to be able to leave the planet's orbit, feel free to come across a ship instead
