@Baron You'll probably still get souls. Just not his soul, yet. This is only if he agrees. This way you might get MULTIPLE souls~

B-but i offered to help you take him down. Also, Asterot happens to be a demon so...

@Baron Demons can consume other demon's souls, plus if you escape there wont be a problem. Plus there's still a strong chance that I will fight him, but at the moment Vincent would lose to him. So, the solution is we buy time to come up with a plausible way of defeating him.

Can you imagine being sucked into a black hole? Even a single second would seem like an eternity within the event horizon.

@Rurnur

What is our end game? Alex can't attack and Salegg won't get through his defense. They are stuck in a stalemate :P It is a battle of attrition and ethics.

Well, anyone can get through a defense if they're stronger than the defender, and Alex can attack if he wants to. Someone else will have to join in to defeat Salegg, i'm sure @SleepyBuddha will retaliate when he gets back @Seraph Darkfire

Under normal circumstances you'd be right, any defense can be broken if given enough time or strength. However, Alex isn't actively blocking the attacks, simply redirecting their kinetic energy. Like if you were to throw a ball at someone and instead of blocking it, the person grabs it, spins with it, and throws it back. They would have wasted very little energy in doing so.

You just have to get creative with attacking, obviously you can't just re-direct everything, as that's overpowered for balance reasons. If someone puts a ton of energy into one attack, and you just re-direct it back at the attacker, that requires an equal amount of energy on your part. @Seraph Darkfire

Salegg could just beat out that gravity defense with sheer volume
