The night world....

love has never been so dangerous.

THE NIGHT WORLD isn't just a place. It's all around us. The creatures of Night World are beautiful and deadly and irresistible to humans. Your best friend could be one- so could your crush.

The laws on the Night World are very clear: humans must never learn that Night World exists. And members of Night World must never fall in love with a human. Violate the laws and the consequences are terrifying.

This is the story about what happens when the rules get broken.

----

Drake R. Rays was in the Night World. He didn't feel like dealing with the humans. "Hit me." He coughed, slamming his cup on the table. He was in the bar, the place he went to clear his head. The bartender nodded and poured Drake some liquor. He chugged it down, and slammed his cup down. He wiped his lips with the back of his hand, and slid off his seat. He looked around, seeing people smoking, swearing, and drinking. He grunted, not in a good mood, and walked outside. He was annoyed by the humans... again. They're so stupid and blind. He walked down the sidewalk, keeping his head down.

Isabelle Locke giggled as she was at the friends house, leaving. "Okay Dee. Bye! See you later!" She waved, an stepped off of their porch. She held her coat by her, since it had warmed up and she no longer needed it. He smiled to herself, as she walked to the sidewalk. She took out her keys from her purse, and unlocked her car. She slid in, and turned on the car. The engine purred. She'd just gotten her license and was excited about driving. She drove down the road, and headed home.

Dahlia had gotten into trouble again. "Her last warning" or whatever. Some idiot teenage boy had insulted her, and naturally she'd hit him, which resulted in a fist fight, which resulted in...well. Let's just say, things got a little...hairy, so to speak. She took a drag of her cigarette and tipped her head back, blowing smoke rings into the dark sky. Keeping it pressed between her lips for the moment, she rolled up the sleeves of her leather jacket, and adjusted the lapel slightly, before taking the cigarette between her fingers again, olive green eyes narrowed into slits, lips pursed. Oh, she was definitely in a mood.

For some reason, people, teenage guys in particular, thought it funny to pick up on that and make comments. Yeah. How funny is that gonna be when a wolf is on you. Idiots.

Drake ran his fingers through his thick brown hair. He sighed, and cracked his knuckles. In the Night World, you could pretty much do anything. As long as you didn't break the rules. They weren't that hard to keep track off. At least for Drake it wasn't. There was a barrier between the Night World and the Human World. Almost like a portal. A wall visible to Night World people, but invisible to humans, separated the two groups. Night Worlds could pass through the walls, back and forth, but humans couldn't. Unless they were made Night World.... but that was another story. Drake walked down the side walk with his hands stuffed in his pockets. He wore baggy pants, and a school sweatshirt. He sighed, as he walked through the wall that separated him from the humans. He was bored... and wanted a little drama.

Isabelle let the wind pull at her hair as she drove she car. Driving fast, she was heading to her house. She lived near down town, in a small apartment. She lived with her older brother, James who was 19, and her old father. She was the youngest, the baby. But she was more independent, and didn't need someone always looking after her. She arrived, and parked. She slid off her seat, and was heading for the door. But she didn't want to go in. She still wanted to do stuff. She turned around, and bit her lip. She walked to the sidewalk. She wanted to do something. She wore a cute outfit, and smiled as she walked down the sidewalk.

((LoL, I'm lazy too. Basically, my characters are both in the Human World. Drake is walking around on the side walk, pissed off by humans, Isabelle is bored and walking around wanted to do something. Dahlia was just in a fight and turned were-wolf. I think she may be in the human world, since humans can't go in the Night World she was fighting a human. So yeah, not much had happened. :D ))

((You can just have them walking around. Maybe meet one of our people here. Maybe see on of my people, and wave or something. Then they would meet and crap.))

Alex ran down the sidewalk with her books in her hand for school with her flying in the wind. This was her last strike and if she didn't get to school on time she was gonna be expelled and she would be force to live her grandmother in the night world. Alex was looking down at her feet when she ran smacked dead in to Drake. Her books went flying everywhere. Alex smelled a weird sense of a wolf near by so she took a peek up at him then look back down at the ground picking up her books. " is he a wolf or is there another one around? " she thought to herself.

Drake walked down the sidewalk in silence. One moment he was mumbling to himself, the other he was on the floor. He rubbed his forehead, and tried to focus his eyes. He breathed heavily, and looked to see a girl on the floor in front of him. He blinked, and then grinned. "Am I really that gorgeous?" He teased. "Couldn't stay away from me huh?" He chuckled, and got up. "Here, let me help you." He grabbed the rested of her books, and then held out his hand to help her. "The name's Drake by the way." He smiled.

Alex didn't giggle and didn't crack a single smile even though he was cute. She reached for his hand to pull her up and replied " Mine names Alex...". Alex blushed a little then gave him a smile and hopped up using his strength to help pull. " thanks and im sorry...." she said softly trying not to sound harsh but a bad girl tone. Alex turned around lowly feeling a presence but turned around quickly to ignore it. " do you go to the high school?" she asked him quickly.

(( considering we're doing outfits..))

Dahlia glanced over at the interaction on the other side of the street, arching her eyebrows sceptically. Uh huh. Nice going, kid. She rolled her eyes and sped up slightly, not wanting to be accosted by the two, they were presumably from the Night World, if her sense instinct was anything to go by. She kept her mouth shut, however, not wanting to jump to assumptions, and kept walking. She attended a public school. but attended was a loose way to put it. Dahlia had only been in a few days so far this year, and on those days only one or two classes if that.
