Morkari stood up when Anna did, watching to make sure she didn't fall over. He assumed he was "Sunflare" though he didn't know why he had been called that. He picked up the walking stick but decided it'd be easier just to have Anna put an arm on his shoulder at this point. "Anna, put your arm on my shoulder for now while we head to the nurses office." He waited to see if she did before following the nurse.

Anna's hand probed the air around her until it came into contact with he companion. She grabbed his upper arm and clung to him for a moment before realizing what she was doing. She immediately pulled away a bit, but still kept her hand on his arm. "S-sorry... and uh.. thank you." Her face was slowly turning a light shade of red and she shook her hair around her face to hide it. She stood there for a few moments, clutching the crystal in her hand ever tighter until her knuckles turned white.

"So.. uhm.. Where... where are we going?.." Now that the noise in her head had died down, it was a little easier to think. Although, the pounding headache the voices left behind certainly wasn't helping. She was glad to hear that people were going about their usual business. She hoped no one had been paying her too much attention. Though, even the thought of it made her face turn an even darker shade of red. She absently tugged at his sleeve, hoping they would be leaving sooner rather than later.

"It's okay, I'd probably be doing the same thing if I was you." He replied to her apology after clinging to him with a small chuckle, though it was actually closer to a giggle. "The nurses office, so you can relax and wind down a bit, and probably get rid of a headache I'm guessing too." He slowly moved forward so Anna's hand wouldn't get pulled off his sleeve.

Once Anna realized he was moving, and began moving herself, he slowly sped up to a more normal walking speed; following the nurse to the infirmary, Morkari made sure to not make sudden stops or anything that might cause her to lose her grasp on his sleeve.

"Umm Nurse, sorry, I don't think I've heard your name yet. Uh...hmmm..." He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to say. Obviously he wanted to ask if she'd be okay, but that might come across a bit creepy, as he didn't know Anna quite that well yet, nor did she really seem to be all that hurt, just a bit stressed out. Possibly the stress was affected by whatever magic she might have too, which made everything seem worse than it probably was.
So he just kinda stopped his sentence with that, hoping they wouldn't notice.

Zain Qalli
Zain moved at a slow pace, since he was thinking as he walked. He was nefarious, when thinking while walking, for walking into events that were varying degrees of embarrassment. He stopped in the middle of the hallway and shook his head before walking again. He shouldn't think and walk, he had more important things to do. Once at his office, he opened the door and ushered them in.
"Ah, I'm Zain Qalli. And you two are?"
He said, guiding the female student to a bed while looking at the crystal in her hand. The aura was gray, and he raised an eyebrow. Nothing new but seemed like it was absorbing negative effects from her...Ah~!
"I see....Seems like your magic has a negative effect on you. A form of telepathy, your hearing the thoughts of people around you, hence the 'voices' in your head."
He said.

Ana kept a tight grip on his arm as they walked and was thankful they weren't trying to rush along and found that the further away from the cafeteria they went, the less the voices sounded off in her head. There were still some, but they were a lot less frequent and a lot less manageable, especially with the help of the crystal. She tried to remember the route they took to the nurse's office, but the school was just so big, she couldn't accurately gauge how far everything was. She could somehow tell once they had stepped through the doorway to the nurse's office and she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. She released his arm, but was immediately led somewhere else. It made her stiffen at first, but when she felt that it was a bed, she carefully sat down and pushed her sunglasses on top of her head. One hand wrapped around herself and the other rubbed her nose.

"Oh, um.. I'm Annabelle. Or Anna. Whichever you prefer." She listened silently and nodded at his words. She silently rubbed the crystal for a couple moments while she thought. "Yeah... I remember one of the professors telling me about it. But... they didn't tell me about side effects or anything... especially anything like this." She fidgeted on the bed, shifting her position so her legs were pulled up under her. "How... how do I handle this. I've never been around even a fraction of this many people in my entire life and now... now they're even in my head. I feel like I'm gonna go crazy." She hugged herself tighter and squeezed the crystal again, burying her face against her legs. "I'm not... I'm not good at any of this stuff. I barely understand any of this. I never went to school or anything like that. This was just... a mistake."

"I'm Morkari, you might remember me as Min'Karai, Professor Zain." He listened after giving his name, nodding along with Anna. He sat down on the other side of the bed so he could listen in, and also be there for whatever the Nurse thought he'd be useful for. After Anna finishes talking he shakes his head. "Nonsense. Being here isn't a mistake at all. I for one, still am having trouble making the Magelight correctly, I doubt you are much worse than that." He attempts to create one out of habit since he mentioned it, but still only got a very pale light. "At least it's the correct colour now though. It used to be a pinkish kind of colour. Kind of weird for a boy don't ya think?" He forgoed mentioning the reason this was though. "I think after some practice and help you'll probably be better at all this than I am."

Ratel decides to appear just then, with a burst of the smell of the Savannah. "Hey Ratel; Speaking of familiars, where's yours Anna? it's probably worried just as much as you are. They are you after all. Maybe talking to them will help." Morkari scratches Ratel's head as he talks, who in turn starts doing a kind of purr.

Hector couldn't lie to himself it was a little weird that those so far that he had interacted with had all come from the same place as him. Although the odds of this continuing would definitely be very low since not everyone even looked like they even lived in america. With that thought leaving him he finished off his sandwich and started to pet Lyn. He wasn't really sure if she liked that or not but she was a wolf and wolves were dogs..... He could always just her later about it.

"Really to be honest it hasn't been that long so there isn't anything that I miss. Besides we get to spend time away from here on the weekends. That way if I did miss something I could just enjoy it then." He didn't really see a point in missing anything himself but he wasn't going to say that out loud. They may be learning magic but he was still not a mind reader so he didn't understand how Elena felt. "I will say though that some IHOP does sound nice right now. Oh well I can always worry about that after I'm finished studying. What kind of magic were you told that you were proficient in?"

Zain Qalli
Zain heard what Annabelle or Anna was saying and sighed softly, sitting down in the chair at his desk, rolling it over to the bed.
"Keep the crystal since it dampens the thought flow in your mind until you can manually filter out the thoughts of everyone around you. I think private lessons would be good for you but I'll pass that onto the Headmaster so he could decide. Ah, yes familiars. Have you tried to summon yours? If need be, I'll help you along. Ah, do forgive me since I can't put a name to a face. Auras are all I can do to put a name. I tend to stay away from highly crowded areas, since so many auras can blind me and cause a headache as they will cause Miss Annabelle to go mad with so many mental voices in her head. But with practice and time, she'll be able to turn on a mental filter to tune out the voices. But it seems there's more to your magic then just telepathy correct, Anna?"
He said, looking at the crystal now flickering with a touch of the black and white aura of Anna. The crystal was now essentially Anna's and would respond to her will, a pseudo gift of crystal magic. He would have to teach her of the risks of such a magic, if it decided to 'bless' her as it did him.

Anna sat there quietly for a time, though she had no idea how long. It seemed like she was getting more and more information piled on top every day. She could barely process it all.

"I... honestly don't know." She sighed and tugged at her hair. "I can't see anything I'm doing if I'm even doing anything. I always feel.... tired afterwords, but I have no idea if it's working. "As for the familiar..." She shook her head and pressed it against her legs again. "I'm not not sure about that, either. I haven't felt anything like I've heard others talk about and no animal has come up to me that I know of. I can't exactly... tell."

She rubbed at her eyes and unfolded her legs only to refold them Indian style. She now sat and ran her fingers over the crystal, trying to memorize the shape of it. "Thank you for this... rock? Uh.. whatever it is. How exactly does it work? Do I need to do anything?" She quirked her head to the side as they talked. It did her no good to face them, so she had gotten in the habit of turning her head to the side. She frowned and tried to think back to the first day. "I don't... remember exactly what my magic is either. It's something with telepathy... but there's just been so much information I can't really remember it all.

Zain Qalli
Zain hummed in thought as he looked at the crystal, but decided to not to tell her of the possibility to have an imitation crystal magic.
"Its a crystal I created. Seems like it absorbed the magical essence that was exuding off you to dampen the effects of your own magic going off. Now, I want to try something. Put the crystal down to your right side, not touching you, before holding out one of your hands. I'll touch your hand to see if you can possibly hear my thoughts. If I'm correct, you have a type of magic that is fairly useful but a tad dangerous. But every magic has its risks and dangers to them. Even mine has its risks and dangers."
He said, holding out his left hand for her to touch.
"But for the familiar, I'll help you with it."

Her brows furrowed as the professor talked. He was using quite a lot of big words and she didn't really understand all of what he was saying. She guessed it meant that the crystal was helping and for that she was thankful. She inwardly cringed at the mention of being touched and felt her body tense. She wasn't the biggest fan of that type of thing and this seemed very... experimental. Now she might be dangerous? She didn't even know what to think She clutched the crystal tighter to herself and pursed her lips. She hesitated, but slowly put the crystal down and pushed it out of reach. She brought her hand back and squirmed on the bed.

"Morkari... are you... still here?" She fidgeted for a moment before sliding to the edge of the bed and letting her legs slip off. "Morkari... What kind of magic do you have?" She was hoping his talking would ease her mind. The more she sat there, the more nervous and anxious she got. So, she finally stuck her hand out, apprehensively. When her fingers were about to brush over Professor Zain's she felt an almost force field between them. It was light and nothing she could feel besides a light pressure. She retracted her hand for a second, already shaking. She took a moment to take a breath before reaching out again and letting her hand touch his. The effect was... peculiar. It wasn't as if they were instantly linked, but more like their minds brushed each other. First it was just the feeling that she could hear and feel and sense more than just what she was capable of, but the more they stayed connected, the more she could perceive from him. She was an extremely private person and everything about this terrified her. She was anxious; afraid he would be able to see into her thoughts or for some reason try to control or effect them.

Zain Qalli
Zain felt a slight pressure but nothing he hadn't handled in being the doctor/nurse for the school for mages with peculiar magics for a bit over 200 years. He fed her simple thoughts before lifting her hand away from his and let it go.
"Now, how did that feel? From what I can tell from how your aura reacted, you were very nervous and apprehensive about this. I do have to say, this was a bit of fun for me."
He said, with a smile.
"This was an experiment on my part to see how your magic reacts to others. And it seems like I was correct. Your magic is a touch form of telepathy, you can perceive what they perceive the more time you spend touching each other. But it dangerous to try to go for long periods of time as I saw your aura dampen as you touched my hand. For now, I would refrain from touching people and keep the crystal on you at all times. Ah, now onto familiars...."
He said before feeling faint himself.
'What is going on now? I've never felt faint like this in such a long time....'
He thought before holding his head with his right hand.

"Yup still here." Morkari watched as the two touched hands, wondering what might happen. "My magic? Umm, well I'm supposed to be great at a type of Attack Magic. It lets me attack using varying shapes. So for instance, I could make my Attack look like a Dragon was flying at you, or a Cheetah chasing you down. Sounds cool to me, I enjoy anything I can integrate Dragons into."

"He fell silent as the two sat there. "What do you think's happening here exactly Ratel? Any ideas?" Ratel looked at Morkari and shook her head. "No clue, for the moment, my knowledge of things isn't much more than yours. Unless I were to witness or read something you didn't, we mostly have the same knowledge as the other for now." Morkari sighs. "Was looking more for random ideas to be thrown around, even if I'd normally have them myself, your thinking will still be a tad different from mine ya know, you are my inner self after all. Not my conscious mind." Ratel does a kind of shrug. "Whatever." They continue back and forth like this while they wait for Zain to finish whatever he was doing.

"Now, how did that feel? From what I can tell from how your aura reacted, you were very nervous and apprehensive about this. I do have to say, this was a bit of fun for me."

Morkari heard this and turned his attention back to the two. "So, she can telepathically talk to people, as long as she is touching them? That's cool. Better than what I can do for sure. You could play so many more pranks with that kind of magic...Erm, I mean..." He realized a bit late that the nurse was still technically a teacher. "A-anyway, Anna, you feel any better?"

Anna let Morkari's words ground her from this telepathic... whatever it was. She didn't really like the fact she could see into other people's heads. She assumed they could do the same to her. She quickly pulled her hand back as soon as he started to retract his. She cradled her hand to her chest for a moment before reaching around for the crystal. She couldn't find it and started to panic. "Mor-Morkari, could you... the crystal?.." She was afraid of losing it and held her hand up, hoping he would put it in her palm.

"No... I don't feel any better. How am I supposed to not touch people? I can't even see them." She didn't mean for the frustration could come out, but there were so many things she couldn't control and now this. She had never really considered her blindness to be that much of a burden even though her parents constantly reminded her of it. But now, with all of this... She let out a frustrated sigh. "And how is a familiar supposed to help? Is it another voice I have to hear?" She gritted her teeth and buried her face in her hands to keep herself from saying anymore. She had so many feelings built up, she didn't know how to handle it. It was rare she felt this much emotion at all, much less so many different ones in the course of two days.

Morkari picked up the crystal and gently grabbed her hand, giving her the crystal, before letting go. "Your familiar is your inner self, so really, it's more like talking to yourself honestly. And you can tell them to shut up if you want." He tickles Ratel while saying this, causing her to bat at his hand and give a playful growl. He laughs before continuing. "Honestly, having a familiar will be another thing to focus on alongside the crystal, as you will have someone to talk to who will understand exactly what you are going through."

Morkari picks up Ratel and holds her out, telling her to hold still just this once. "Here, want to meet Ratel? She's my familiar, a Honey Badger. I told her to hold still, so if you want to pet her you can. She's right in front of ya."
He holds Ratel up in front of Anna, close enough Anna can find her, if she wants, but far enough she isn't in her face.

He heard faintly from Morkari about pranks and frowned, covering up his sudden lack of energy, with a stern expression on his face as he looked at the male student.
"Magic like that isn't something to prank with. You never know who she would touch since they could have an advantage over her. Ah~! Conrí, come forth!"
He said, while making crystal like flowers bloom around him before a resounding bell like neigh echoed next to him, before a black horse, appeared in the room with a toss of his head.
"You called me, cara (friend in irish)?"
His familiar said, nickering in greeting to his summoner. He patted Conri's head while having it close to his head. It was a comfort to have his familiar around him, it soothed him so much. But right now, Annabelle would need to feel Conri.
"Annabelle, I want you to reach out just a tad, it may tickle a little but know that my familiar, Conri, will never hurt you."
He said, not even telling Conri her condition. He knew what the poor girl was going through and nickered gently to her while stepping forward to her, his hooves echoing in the room.

Anna yanked her hand out of Morkari's grip, mostly out of instinct. She clutched her hand to her chest, the crystal held tightly in her grip as she turned her head to... the general direction of Morkari. "Sorry... I... didn't mean to do that. I was just surprised." The apology came out mostly mumbled, but she hoped he still heard it. She sat and pursed her lips, unsure if she should touch any other kind of living creature or not. She didn't know if the same thing would happen with an animal as with a person. But.... she did quite enjoy animals, regardless of what they were.

She tentatively reached out and first touched Ratel, though first pulled away when she made initial contact. Though she did pet her, but just a couple strokes before pulling her hand back. "Um... thank you. She's very... soft...." Her words kind of faded as she was really unsure of what to say or how to compliment her. As for the other familiar, she was even more reluctant. It sounded like a horse... but with magic involved, she had no idea what it actually was. She could tell that it was big, though. Her lips pinched into a line and she held it out, but she made no active attempt to reach out and touch it.

Minerva Youngblood

Minerva paced around her room thinking aloud as she read from her Necronomicon, trying her utmost best to fully understand and revise the topic explored in today's class " Skeletons are in effect the lowest class of reanimation followed then by the zombie. The reanimation and or summoning of a skeleton is quite simple and only requires an adequate mix of bonemeal and mana in order to be completed. Mana should be mixed in at a ratio of 4-1 and to ensure the skeleton is fully bound one should consider making a blood contract by adding in a single drop of blood to the mix. All mixing should be done within a constructed magic circle however if proficient one could avoid using the circle altogether. Once summoned the skeleton will perform the summoners orders. Said orders should be simple and precise as skeletons are known to be quite simple creatures. Skeletons make for excellent archers. Note: Without a blood tribute the spell will wear off in under an hour and for every drop of blood added the life expectancy can be expected to rise by 30m". Closing the thick purple book with a thump Minerva tossed it onto her bed and stretched her body until a satisfying cracking sound was emitted. "The skeleton I summoned should have been dispelled by now so. And with my revision finished... I guess I should go and get something to eat".

And so with that Minerva took to exit her room and set about making her way to the kitchen. It was a short trip from her room to the kitchen with only the sitting room being in between. The young girl was quick in deciding what to eat as well, moving through the kitchen with effortless ease she swiftly dished a plate of chicken alfredo she had prepared early that morning and left in the fridge. Moving then to the dining room Minerva moved to take her regular seat but stopped quickly when she noticed her father wasn't present. Had he forgotten to eat again? With a soft sigh, Minerva moved with her plate in hand to his office door and with a brief knock, she pushed the large ornated door open and was greeted with the sight of two classmates sitting side by side seemingly in trouble for something or another. Looking aside herself after offering the two a polite smile Minerva turned to Magnus and handed him the plate of reheated food quietly before snatching away his still cold boxed lunch with a soft sigh "Honestly, what am I going to do with you. Stop. Eating. Cold. Food". Turning again to her classmates Minerva smiled again "I'm sorry for interrupting. I had plans to eat dinner with my father today and when he didn't show up I Was worried perhaps he forgot to eat at all. I'll take my leave now that I've delivered his lunch. Again I'm sorry"

"Yes, her fur is soft, unusual for a honey badger." Morkari gently put Ratel down. "And it's okay, I'm sure you weren't expecting someone to grab your hand after you were just told to be careful doing so." Ratel during this time, had griped at Morkari. "Yes yes Ratel, It was just a joke, alright? Your fur very normal and well taken care of; Jeese, worse than me at taking jokes..." He sighs but immediately goes over to pet Conri himself; even if Anna didn't he sure was going to.

"Such a pretty black..." He already forgot Anna couldn't see, or at least didn't consider it to be something that needed to be mentioned or thought of constantly. Anna was Anna, blind or not. It was just how he thought of things. "Anna, his hair is so soft, you should feel it, really." He doesn't move to grab her though, since she didn't seem to enjoy that the first time. "uh, Nurse? What kind of horse is uh, he? she? exactly."

He continues petting the black horse, while teasing Ratel in his mind on how "ooh its so soft, but not as soft as yours is Ratel. Maybe they could learn some tips from you." He says it a mockingly serious tone in his head. He laughs out loud at one point when Ratel actually hisses at him and then jumps onto his shoulder to bat him in the face with a paw. "Haha, come on, I'm only joking Ratel. No need to be so rude." Ratel just humphs at him and gets down. She walks over to Anna and jumps into her lap.

She was so focused on waiting for the beastie to touch her or do something, that she hadn't really listened to the exchange between Morkari and Ratel. Thus, was extremely surprised when the small creature jumped into her lap. It was enough to make her jump and her hand instantly shot back, grabbing whatever it was in her lap to keep it from falling off. When she finally settled, she realized how tightly she was holding the creature and immediately let them go. "Sorry! Sorry... I don't... mean to. It just surprised me. I'm sorry." She let out a long breath and held one of her hands out while the other she held at her side holding the crystal.

"Can I... can I pet you?" She kept her hand held out in the air, waiting to see if she could pet the little animal in her lap.

Morkari just sighed as Ratel got what she deserved by jumping into Anna's lap without thinking about the fact it would surprise her. "Well, you deserved at least that much of a squeeze there Ratel. You shoulda known it'd be a surprise for you to jump on her lap." Morkari continues the rest of the conversation between the two in his head. "She says you can pet her as long as you don't squeeze her again; though honestly I think she deserved it..."

He lets out a sigh and moves over to sit next to Anna on the bed. "Just try and stay away from her paws if you can, she's particular about them. Other than that have at it." Morkari smiles as he says this; Not that Anna can see it, but the smile was something he just did naturally when he and Ratel were bickering back and forth, since it usually started with him teasing her.

"Seems like she's more interested in the badger than me, Cara (friend), but seems like you need to rest. Something catch your eye or something?"
'No, my friend. I do not know how this light headedness came about. Besides what woman would want me?'
"You sell yourself short, Cara, plenty of women would want to be with you."
'Ones that only want a one night stand and not a long lasting relationship that would end with her dying long before I could think of wanting to marry her?'
"...I know. You gave
her your heart and she threw away, laughing at you. I'll not bring up anymore painful memories of that woman. I rather see you happy and alive than what you were nearly a century ago."
'Thank you my friend. Thank you.'

Zain said, bringing Conri's nose to his face and petting his familiar while unshed tears threatened to come forth. He didn't care what was going on around him, it was just him and Conri at the moment, ignoring the students.

"Oh, okay.... I'll do my best to stay away from her paws..." Anna gulped and hesitated before reaching a hand down to pet Ratel. She found a small patch of fur, that she hoped was on the the beastie's back and stuck to petting that section. She pet her for a few minutes before switching hands, using the back knuckle of her other hand to pet Ratel while extending the other hand to Conri. "I'm sorry for taking away my hand.. I'm just so jumpy right now.. Can I... try again? If not, it's okay." She half retracted her hand, already expecting the answer to be no.

Conri saw the hand extend towards him before tracking back halfway, placing his nose at the mid point. Nickering softly, he nudged the girl's hand softly to pet him, keeping an eye on his summoner. Old memories were always hard to get rid of, especially the woman who had captured Zain's heart but broke it to powder and dust. He wanted nothing more than to ram a hoof through that woman's chest, but she got away, no blame could be placed on her for what she had done to his summoner, the only living connection to the Heart of Lin. The heart nearly shattered with Zain's emotions, and they both were slowly recovering. He mentally shoved the thoughts behind a thick mental wall, keeping any information away from the girl. He mentally sighed. Realms apart yet so tightly entwined with each other, Zain and the Heart of Lin.
Zain shook his head before taking a calming breath. Even remembering that woman left him feeling used and...broken...He took another calming breath, focusing on what was happening now instead of her.

Anna's hand jump back a little at the contact of the snout, but she reached out again and pet him. Almost at once the same kind of connection started to form between the two and she pulled away again with a frown. She paused for a moment, thinking to herself, her hand in midair before moving her hand up a little bit so she was touching the fur covered part of his snoot. Petting here it seemed, didn't create the same kind of connection as before. She wondered exactly why that was, but she honestly didn't really want to think about anything like that at the moment. "Your fur is... really soft..." She stroked the snoot, first with the backside of her fingers, but then started petting with her full hand, palm and all. Her other hand had stopped in the petting of Ratel, only by accident though.

Meanwhile, a tiny fox-like creature had poked its head into the doorway, determined to remain unseen. It had a tiny head with very large ears that seemed to swivel with every movement. It stayed low to the ground, its head almost touching the floor as it slowly crept inside. It used the horse as cover, edging slowly around the room to remain out of sight.
