hi there! i go by ally. ( : i've been roleplaying on instagram for about five years, but the community has really gone downhill and it's just not a good place anymore. : \ an old friend of mine referred me to RPnation, so here i am.


i roleplay just about anything really, from realistic to fantasy. my current rp character is a wolf named aleikya. i hope to meet some new people and make friends! < 33

Your old friend knows what's up. You will definitely not have an issue with bad community here; in fact, our strong emphasis on being friendly and polite is something we pride ourselves on. RPN has a great community. ( :D )

Indeed, we do like to foster a friendly environment and we work hard to make sure that people aren't bigger jerks than is normal. This is the internet and we do allow a sort of leeway of personalities (we're not a cult... yet (<_<)(>_>)) but we do like an atmosphere where people are friendly, welcoming, and helpful.


Also, I do want to make sure that you understand that you don't have to RP as a single entity on our site. Each RP is an opportunity to create a new character. I know for some things you create a character and you are that character and you don't really do anything other than that character.


I am now going to offer you my standard welcome post and hopefully it'll answer some questions you have, or clear up some things that seem a bit confusing.

Before you being your quest to becoming one of the old hats here at RPN, please do take a second and take a look at the site rules. You can find them here: INFO - Official Site Rules | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum.


Unlike the Pirate code, they aren't more like suggestions but rules that we take a bit seriously. If, however, you've got a few pieces of eight you'd like to swing our way, we're always more than happy to take it. (I said, the rules weren't suggestions, never said we weren't piratey mate).


Once you've had a glance over the rules there's more information to be had here: Site Questions & Information | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum. You can find something there to answer just about any question you might have.


Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.


Do NOT under any, uncertain circumstances create an interest check in the RP forum! Make sure that you create your interest check in the interest check forums! If you create an interest check in the RP forums then you have just created an RP and all the threads that go along with that. Then administration has to go through and delete all those threads. That is a hassle and a pain in the rear so please make sure that you are posting an interest check in the interest check forums ONLY. Your friendly neighborhood staff thanks you for your cooperation.
