The moon was rising as the new student orientation began. People of all species gathered in the center of the academy, both new and old students. The headmistress, Athena Orathia, stood on a platform in front of the gathered fresh meat. She offered a small smile as the instructors quieted the young beasts. She began her usual speech, outlying expectations, rules, classes, curfew, etc.. She had a feeling this would be an interesting year...especiallyElli with what She had planned.

Annabelle glanced around curiously at the new students, wondering which one could be her new roommate. She kept to herself in the crowd, only speaking when spoken to. Her eyes fell on the Headmistress. She seemed nice, but gave her a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Shade was looking around with his light blue eyes looking at the headmistress then looking around some more before saying to himself "this is boring just let us go already dang we,already know the expectations and rules God" and at the word of God he got a headache and said "dammit"

Sylvia

The night had just fallen and she was already wanting to hide herself away. Her dark crimson eyes scanned everyone from the back of the crowd as she didn't like being in crowds, personally she enjoyed avoiding them but even the headmistress wouldn't allow her to miss this. Sylvia was starting her second year here at the academy and last year she hadn't made to many friends, and she was perfectly fine with that. Wearing black ripped skinny jeans with combat boots and a white spaghetti strapped tank top, her thin, long black hair tied up in a pony tail an her side bangs left down. Sylvia growled lightly to herself as she found something to lean back against.

Tyson

Year three already? Tyson was going to be late for his own funeral when the time came. Padding out to where the students were to meet he made sure to avoid the gazing eyes of the head mistress as he slid himself into the crowd, being a charmer he threw a few ladies a soft smile an kept moving, once he found a suitable spot he stopped to half pay attention and half look over the new students starting out this year. Wearing a simple black under armour sweater with light wash baggy jeans and work boots he ran a hand through his dark brown hair and then placed his hat back onto his head.

Shade was looking around and got bored and started balancing what seemed to be a needle of dark energy on his finger spinning it when he accidently sent it flying and hit the stage and disapeared slowly and he said with a calm face "whoops my fault" silently.

The headmistress's eyes instantly landed on Shade in disapproval. "That concludes orientation. You may pick up your handbook, room key, and campus map up front. Classes start in the morning"

Shade looks at the head mistress and smirks and walks out still smirking with his hands over his headband walks to get his things and leaves the orientation area

Annabelle bumped into Shade, getting pushed back some and barely catching herself. "S-sorry..." she brushed back her hair and looked down shyly.

Shade looks at her and says "don't know what your sorry about it was my fault" and walks around her patting her shoulder.

Luna

Another year back, Luna was bored already. She ran her tongue along one of her fangs, at least she wasn't new. Thankfully that dull orientation was over at last. She stood up and smoothed her tight fitting shirt, she was dressed to kill as always. Well time to get started on decorating my room she thought.

Rowyn

Rowyn stayed at the back of the group not wanting to bring attention to the fact that she had a kitten in her backpack. She grabbed her key and rushed into the hall to find her room so she could let Elliot out.

Annabelle smiled a little in response. "I think I've seen you around campus... shade, right?" She asked curiously. She glanced around at the nearby students.

Luna pushed through the halls not really worrying about anyone else, her long pale blonde hair in her signature pigtails and her boots clicking on the floor. She didn't see anyone familiar. There was a weird girl who appeared to be speaking to her book bag, two kids having what sounded like a boring conversation, and a lot of talking and commotion. So many different types of blood all in one place, part of her wanted to try just a tiny bit from everyone but she was beyond that, she wouldn't let herself do something like that it would be social suicide and her parents might actually kill her. So she walked with her head held high as she sipped on a blood bag.

The headmistress stepped down from the platform, walking amongst the students. She watched the students with great interest, her eyes betraying no emotion. The moon was reaching its peak, barely a sliver in the night sky. Hopefully the shifters would be under control by the time of the full moon, in a month.

Neil was listening intently to the headmistresses speech, rather frightened at the prospect of being st such a foreign seeming place, especially that it'd be his first year. He tried not to let it get the best of him though, he hated nerves, but he always found them impossible to sooth on his own. However, once her speech ended, Neil took a glance around, and noticed a girl with a kitten in her backpack around the edge of the crowd. He felt instantly urged to greet her and her kitten. As he struggled his way through the crowed, he extended his hand towards her.

"Hello! My name is Neil! Please let me see your kitten!" Subtlety was never his strong point.

As the headmistress ended her speech, Cam sighed and got up from up from his seat. Taking his bags, he still wondered what the fuss was about humans learning about supernaturals for, but he guessed that maybe they didn't want more Hunters then there are now. Although he had half-slept through most of the headmistress's speech, he got the jest of it, but his attention snapped when some random guy. While he was worried about everyone trying to kill him, his main concern was if a vampire would bite him, as Cam didn't want to know if he tasted good. Choosing to ignore the male as it seemed to not involve him, Cam began his way out of the area and found himself roaming the halls with his bags along with his katana on his back. Realizing not only did the sword make him stand out and seem odd, but also he was lost, Cam wondered if maybe he should have actually listened to the speech.

Rowyn froze, Elliot had been spotted. There goes my plan to keep him hidden, she thought. She was shy but he seemed friendly enough, "Shhhh I don't want anyone to know he's here," she whispered, "In case any of the vampires or shifters think he's a snack." Elliot poked his tiny head out of the bag and let out a tiny mew. "His name's Elliot and he's pleased to meet you." She shook his outstretched hand then held out the bag for him to peek inside and smiled, "Nice to meet you Neil, I'm Rowyn."

She could feel her small amount of power reaching out to his, it felt intensified almost like there were sparks in the air. "Is your guiding element earth?" She asked him still whispering.

Apparently Rowyn wanted to keep it hidden. His face flushed light red, a bit embrarressed at his blunder. However, he did get to look inside, and the kitten was adorable. She asked him about his element.

"Yes." He whispered.

As various students talked, storm clouds began to descend upon the school. The sky darkened, and it was obvious a storm was coming. Rain started lightly then became more heavy, and thunder clapped as lighting began an even more heavy downpour. Students rushed to their dorms.

Annabelle looked up with wide eyes. "Ah! We better get inside! I'll see you later, ok?" she nodded to shade, then wiggly headed to herand dorm. Her stuff was getting a little damp in the process. Why hadn't she thought to bring an umbrella?

Artemisa pulled her hood up, glad to escape the headmistress and her speech. She was new, but she had a fairly good sense of direction.

She hummed as she manoeuvred the crowd and searched for her dorm.

Knowing her and her clumsy tendencies, she had managed to find the only place to trip, and trip she did.

Shade kept walking to his dorm waving backward to Annabelle and starts walking to his dorm passing the headmistress smirking.

Artemisa swore internally as she fell on her hands and knees. Her bag was a scattered mess around her and the contents soon becoming drenched, along with her.

She pulled herself to her feet and gathered up the items, soon moving towards her dorm, avoiding the other students and the glances thrown her way.

Tyler was kicking back at his dorm, minding his own buisness. "Geez... When is that pizza guy gonna get here?" He asked himself, slightly annoyed.

Shade sees that a girl fell in the court yard and walked over to everyone knowing he was a demon moved away as he walked going up to her and saying "you need help there" and puts his hood up.

Tyler gave up on waiting for the pizza guy, so he decided to take a walk in the courtyard. "Whoa! What happened?" He asked, running up to the fallen girl.

Shade looks up to the guy that just came looking at him with eyes that looked like blue fire and said "I don't know I just came here to ask that to"
