Futuristic new earth

"Ah hi, do you have any medical knowledge? We were sparing and i hurt her pretty bad." He got up and held out his hand. "My name is marcus and ive been hiding in my room since yesterday with a book." He said insulting himself just a bit with a small smile. Meanwhile while saphire looked like she got hit by a truck marcus only had one bruise showing a even unexperinced fighter that this was a one sided victory.

She stared at the bruise on his chin. I did that? I did that. When did I do that? "Ribs... probably broken." She muttered to herself, not wanting to alarm the young, Nicole, right. She was the one without a weapon. Saphire eyed the girl, noting that yes, she did look like a squish-ball. "I know, I look pathetic. Just get it over with." Laughter was nothing compared to what she was used to.

Nichole hardly believes that this guy was fighting Saphire and that he only had a bruise. She expected Saphire to do much more to him. She take his hand and then points at Saphire "You did that?" She asks. "And all she did was that?" She points to the bruise on his chin. "Wow. I thought Saphire was awesome at fighting. You must be like a god or something then." Nichole says with a laugh. She regains seriousness, "but no. I don't have any medical experience. I work more with machines than humans."

Saphire groaned. Great. Only one person on this ship knows how to run... "I just need to know if my ribs are cracked. Anything else will heal with time, but if they are we'll need to get the medic down here. Can you run the machines in here?" If she could just get the scanner working she could tell if they were cracked, she'd been in enough emergency rooms to be able to read an X-ray.

"Im just a bodyguard, if she had been in the right condition to follow up after throwing her sword at me she might have won." He turns and looks at saphire with a grin. "Dont expect that to work so easily if we ever fight again by the way." He turns back to Nichole. "She was pretty good regardless, probably better then many fighters wished they could be, i was just a bit better." He says modestly. "No medical knowledge, i could wrap them up myself but it would take longer then conventional knowledge."

"Yeah, I can work the X-Ray machine." Nichole replies as she heads over to grab a portable scanner. At the computer she activates it and everything. She holds the scanner over Saphires chest area. A few minutes later the result appear on the computer screen. She turns the screen so that Saphire can see it.

She turns to Marcus. "I'm Nichole. I'm the inventor and engineer on this ship."

"Nice to meet you Nichole. Sorry for creating trouble like this." He said seriously, even when he was wounded or hurt on missions or if one of his comrades were hurt he always took care of it, he liked to keep a invisible presence.

Dawn came up."I heard medical. Who needs me." She said with he jacket ans walked over looking at them. Crossing her arms looking at every one seeing the lone with a bruse and hands him a little pink vile. "drink that. That will go away in two to three mins."

"Ah hey doc." He took the vile but shook his head. "Its not me im worried about, me and saphire were sparing and i hurt her pretty bad, possibly broken ribs and a bruised stomach." He said drinking the vile.

Nichole turns as some one else enters. "Oh. Hello, who are you again? Are you the doctor?" She asks the lady as she backs up from Saphire.

Saphire frowns, staring at it. So, her ribs weren't cracked, just bruised. That was good, she should still be able to move around and do her job. Unfortunately she wouldn't be able to fight for a while, if she couldn't even sit up on her own... and then the doc walks in. "I think I've got bruised ribs. Normally that takes 3-4 weeks to heal, but..." If the doc had something for that... well, she'd be happy to be up and about before the week was up.

She looked at Nichole. "Normal that people don't know me." she took her jacket off now looking like a girl and walked passed Nichole to Saphire. "Im Dawn now lay down and ill see whats wrong." She said pulling up a chair and the little x-ray to her.

Saphire nodded, letting herself relax on the bed, not moving a muscle. If she could move then it didn't matter to her how bad the damage was. Though she would like to be able to defend herself... ah, but such was wishful thinking. She'd just have to swallow her nearly non-existent pride and ask Marcus to act in her stead while her wounds healed.

Nichole stiffens as Dawn says her name. "N...nice to meet you." Nichole says. "I've gotta... Go." She says before hurrying off out the door and back down through the unfamiliar halls.

Dawn pined her bangs back and looked at her ribs seeing bruised rips. "Well nothing is broken but there most defiantly bruised." She said and turned and looked at the boy. "In my room there are thee vine plants, grabbed the one with the blue label then the pink flower, herd mixing bowl and my scissors. Ohh and ice."

Saphire sighed. "Well.. I'm used to this." It wasn't the first time she'd had bruised bones, but it probably was the worst. "At least I know that I can read an X-ray." Always a good thing to know. Even if knowing how to do it wasn't the same as knowing how to treat it. What the shadowing good is a flower?

he wonder were Marcus was he decided to do some pushups"1,2,3,4,5"some time has passed"123,124,125,126,127"

Nichole wanders around until she hears a voice counting. Confused, she follows the voice until she finds the training room with Xobic in it doing push-ups. She enters and sits down on a bench, not wanting to disturb him.

She watched as Marcus ran off to get her things. "Should of asked for my journal too. Oh well." She pulled out a chocolate ball and offered one to her. "Chocolate?"

Saphire, eyeing it curiously before nodding and taking the ball. "Thanks." Chocolate was nice, even if she wasn't entirely sure what was going on here. A mad scientist type medic? well. Stranger things have happened.

She leaned back and looked at her. "I have a feeling that your the think first do things later type of person." She said chewing the chocolate

"Your feeling is correct." She replied, taking a bite into the ball. After following she continued: "Though that comes with the job. We are not reactive, each move in a fight with an assassin is calculated, countermoves planned three actions ahead. Otherwise the destruction of our target would end in our own deaths." There were exceptions, those who practiced so much that actions and reactions became second nature. She was not one of them, however.
