    Aqil is a man that tends to get lost in a crowd. He’s nothing particularly spectacular or notable to look at. His clothes and aura completely relaxed and utilitarian. When it comes down to how others would describe him it would often come with a comparison to others. One of Lord Magician’s Favored or The King’s youngest Scion or Master to the ill omen. Rarely do people speak of the man himself. Those who do have presence of mind enough to avoid the more obvious details.
    PERSONALITY
    “I don’t think usually you’d ask someone who they are. It’s not the best method, at best you get a muddied biased answer…. You should ask Sena. I’m curious as to what his answer will be.”

    To most, Aqil is the most unpassionate person you will ever meet. In general he tends to go with the flow in his day to day life unless something rocks the boat. That’s not to say it’s impossible though, it’s rather clear the few triggers that Aqil does hold even if people don’t pay enough attention to him to learn what they are. Yet for all that most won’t see anyone other than a harmless tired man there are some who see a completely different Aqil. The few who have seen Aqil at work have seen what makes him one of Lord Magician’s chosen as he holds himself with a brutally cold demeanor who’s work ethic that only allows for gentleness to his partner Sena.

    In general Lia is a very muscular woman who rarely looks like she matches with her Scion. Despite the frequent talks about appearances from the Pillans she has only gotten worse over the years about listening. Her hair is often in messy braids with choppy bangs she can’t be bothered to fix when ruined in a fight. Despite her rebellious personality she takes her role as companion extremely seriously and everything she wears is a reflection of that, easy to toss, flexible enough to fight in, solid enough to withstand abuse.
    PERSONALITY
    Lia’s personality is a goddamn mess. She’s confident, she’s got an inferiority complex. She loves Tarro, she hates him. She wants to live a life undisturbed, she wants to tear her enemies to pieces with her bare fucking teeth and claim everything this world has.

    Ultimately more than anything Lia’s high strung. Despite being told time and time again she should be barely seen and never heard she’s never once been able to keep to this. She’s never shy, she’s always ready to fight. Pretty much the only one who’s ever got her to stand down ever is Tarro, which is born from being the only who she’s ever received and given respect to.

    When it comes down to it her rebellious nature makes her entirely antithetical to the people of the Lovers. Unlike many others who saw power as a subtle and wise thing she wielded it with the same subtly she wielded her bat, that is to say none. Whether this is more because the duo were isolated or the vice versa is still up to debate for many. And while the adults in her life have attempted to course correct the girl, the same stubbornness that made her an ideal shield kept the lesson from sinking in.
    HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY
    Lia was born a twin, a fact unknown to her until far later in her life. In fact most of Lia’s earliest childhood memories were filled with one thing, Tarro. What she wanted didn’t matter, what she knew or didn’t know didn’t matter. It was explained to her early on that ‘Orchid’ existed solely to ensure the survival and unrivaled thriving of Tarro. It was something she took pride and disgust in.

    It was easy to fall into a mixed emotions when aside from her ‘charge’ the ones she interacted the most with were other scions and companions of the Lovers who had no problem speaking on any perceived lack. Perhaps the worst to her was the weight of ‘caretaker’, who took no hesitation to wondering if they had received the ‘dull’ one of the set. Before the age of seven Lia knew three things which shaped her world view; She was a purchased tool, she had a sister out there somewhere, and worst of all she was never seen as good enough.

    Being the companion to such a prodigy brought little but strife. Appearances were always analyzed and torn apart and jealousy kept them surrounded by little but enemies that fell into the category of active threat or covert smooze. When push came to shove Lia was the one who had to deal with it all as both sword and shield, and she was never to let such issues get in Tarro’s way.

    It was something she excelled at, she would never allow for Tarro to even conceive the amount of threats she had dealt with for any concern for her would be a stain on her own name. Ironically for all that she hated the life she was forced into, the one thing she refused to accept was that anyone else could live this life better. Not her sister, not another scion, not even a lord was going to get in the way of her Tarro being put on that throne.

    Snow and ink, some might say. A frigid winter against the night sky. He stands tall, composed. Back and shoulders squared tense—braced with the resignation of a man approaching the gallows. Etched into the skin of his left temple, carved in lead and condemnation, is the irreversible mark that announces his sin—jagged edges scorning an impassive face.
    PERSONALITY
    “Irrelevant. I am what I’m told.”

    Sena is something hollowed, unmade. There’s the liberty of breaking shackles, and then there’s the overwhelming loss of purpose. He’s a device carved from unrelenting rituals, rigid discipline, and forced identity. All that is within him is not his own, but a grotesque mass of everything he’s been told to be—everything he ought to be.

    There’s a spark in him yet. A flame packed into the shape of a deteriorating wick, burning stubbornly, persistently. A dog growling at the hand that hooked his leash—the same hand that fed him and struck him like he should be grateful for both. Sena learned he was more a selfish mutt of impulse than a perfectly trained purebred.

    Now, he’s covered in muck and rain—whimpering and whining that the clouds part to offer a sliver of sun, his tail quivering between knees sore from pleading for redemption.
    HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY
    "...What do you wish to know?"

    Sena was not raised, he was trained. Instructed. A machine that functioned for the benefit of his scion. He existed for him; was made for him. His saint, his guide, his purpose. Without him, Sena would be nothing. In many ways, it was true. Sena did not exist outside of his scion, not for a long time. Unbeknownst to everyone, Sena included, there was a dam beginning to swell. Burgeoned with tempestuous water.

    All it took was one day. One mistake. One swift beating that slammed the already crumbling stone, covered by roots of cracks from years of brutal reproach. Sena hadn’t been violent. He hadn’t been anything. His scion faced death, and he watched unblinking as his shackles went slack.

    Both returned home, but only Sena was breathing.

    He was brought to trial. The family wanted him dead for the transgression, Sena was numb to the suggestion. The only thing that kept his head attached to his shoulders was the absence of any witnesses.

    It was ruled an accident—negligence. But not amendable, nor forgiven. Sena was branded by his vice, a stain against his temple for all to see. He was dishonorable scum. A failure banished from his district.

    He survived on odd jobs wherever anyone extended pity. Some saw a man with nothing to lose, thus offered squalor like it were silver, and Sena accepted it like gold. Then he met Aqil and understood what gold truly meant.
    RELATIONSHIPS
    Aqil King: "I could offer my body and soul and it would never repay all I owe for his kindness. I am his partner, and will protect him until all that's left of me is air."

    There's an unspoken but undeniable gratitude that Sena feels for Aqil. At his side, Sena is beginning to understand what it means to be human. A luxury not offered to him for a very long time. Habits are hard to break. He still walks slightly behind Aqil, awaits for his approval to speak, and is readily at his beck and call. But every now and again he voices an opinion without being prompted or allows himself to get lost in the ease of conversation with him. Aqil is his comfort.
