The Big Bad Wolf

The one man called Wolf-Woman was stalking through the forest, fallen leaves crunching the bottom of her callused bare feet. She was looking for something, or somethings, rather. Her breath was ragged with worry; the Wolf-Woman rarely felt fear after her mate and master was cut down by the Huntsman. But now, her children were disappearing. Slowly their numbers were diminishing, but not because of the gold placed on each of the direwolves' heads. They were simply vanishing. The Wolf-Woman wandered like this for days, calling out to her children. Finally, she stopped, leaning against a white birch tree for support. The sun shining through the yellow and orange leaves would have been pleasant once, but now its warmth was mocking her. A twig snapped nearby. The Wolf-Woman turned abruptly and sprinted towards the sound, arms open. Sure enough, it was her first born child: a pure white direwolf the size of a horse with piercing yellow eyes. It was bounding towards her, but not in joy. The look in its eyes was one of terror, and upon seeing such a bone-chilling fear, the beast's mother ran even faster. She shut her eyes, preparing to be knocked down by her biggest, most terrible child and preparing to comfort her last baby, the last of her family. A moment passed, and then another. The birds began chirping again, the predator no longer a threat. The woman opened to her eyes, only to see she was grasping nothing but air.

"Are you sure? There is no easy way back once you go. And I can't say for certain things will be as you left them." The voice belonged to a white rabbit in a waistcoat. An unnaturally large wolf tapped its foot impatiently in front of the Gatekeeper, the one who made sure everyone stayed in their proper story.

It rolled her eyes and snarled at the rabbit. "Of course things won't be as I left them! That's the reason I'm leaving: the bring my children back!" The wolf was very agitated already, and now the silly prey dressed like a human was being obvious.

The rabbit sputtered. "Maybe it would be better here if they never returned! The humans wouldn't have to be so afraid of the forest all the time," it mumbled under its breath haughtily. It turned to draw a chalk circle on a large tree when the wolf pounced on it. The little rabbit was easily pinned down by the massive size of the wolf's paws.

"Have you ever lost your children? Do you have any idea the pain and feeling of hopelessness that comes with it?!" the wolf barked. Its fangs were close to the rabbit's face, who was now trying to shrink inside his tiny waistcoat. It shook its head in meek response before the wolf let it scurry back to its feet, draw the circle and disappear inside. The wolf would still be vehement, but the newfound hope the swirling bark gave her was tremendous. It took a step forward tentatively, then another, before leaping through the portal.

OOC: I figured I'd make an intro post for now, at least until I'm sure of the settings and whatnot. :3

The Hatter

Maddie, was having her evening tea as usual. Same time every single day that she had been here. For it was the Queen's punishment for her after all. Though these last few days haven't been has they always were. Things were missing. More importantly, people were missing. Her friends, the people of her story. It was to the point now, that her gaint dining table was empty, say for her. She missed The Hare. She even missed Dee and Dum. It was something when she even missed those two. Maddie, sighed which was not something that was seen. Having a frown on her face was indeed a sight. Placing her tea cup down, she stood and slammed her fist on the table, tea splashing everywhere.

"That is it. I have had all about all I'm going to have! This place has become a drag and that just doesn't sit well with me. This is supposed to be a party not a funeral!". The blue haired girl, walked across her table and hopped off. She was on her search for the only person who she knew that could help her. "If that rabbit can't help, then I don't know who can!". Off she ran, holding onto her top hat, to the little fluffy creatures humble abode.

Twenty minutes and a confusing arguement later, Maddie was standing in front of the gates of their world. "I don't think the humans need something like you running around. You're more likely to cause more trouble than you are to save it". Maddie gave him her signature grin and leaned down towards him. "Why my dear fluffly friend, I'm going to save everyone. I would be mad to not to". She winked and waited for him to open the gates. "Lord help us all..". The White Rabbit, opened the gates, and Maddie danced through. Let's hope for the human's sake, Maddie, wouldn't cause too much "maddness".

Cheshire lay on his stomach head set in his open palms and watched the birds fly overhead absently swinging his legs. His tail lazily curled at his side. Usually he would try to catch the birds or play with them. Lately though he hasn't felt like it. Hasn't felt his usual playfulness. In fact he feared he was growing dull.

It was all thanks to the characters of the story disappearing. When they disappeared they chipped at his madness and ruined his slyness leaving nothing behind but dullness.

Hearing a familiar voice from nearby Cheshire decided to go see the source. Hopefully Maddie can help him regain his slyness. A few minutes later he watched from a nearby tree as Maddie and the white rabbit conversed. It held his interest and answered his prayer. There was a way to get the others back and with them his madness. Grinning his customary toothy grin he watched Maddie leave and before the white rabbit could blink he followed.

Aries let out a loud droning groan of boredom scratching the usual pestering itch annoying the slight scruff on his face as he carefully perched himself up on the thin but stable branch of one of the many pine trees in the area surveying the scene of the dark night sky his wings ruffling slightly in the icy cold wind of the night."Damn" Aries thought to himself as his soulless yellow eyes darted around the grassy field below " The food i'm after isn't exactly dumb i've been chasing this damn rabbit for hours and he's really starting to piss me off...huu".

Aries stared off into the distance attempting to remember a time in his past when he had a easier time acquiring food but to a sad reality he couldn't find such a memory. Frowning Aries unfurled his messy matted wings carefully standing on the flimsy branch before a small smile cracked from the corner of his mouth as he flung himself from the tree for a few seconds Aries seemed to be falling before his large wings went to work flapping rather casually sending huge gusts of wind twords the ground before slowing his decent and keeping him suspended in the cool night air.

Just before Aries was getting ready to fly home and give up on any chance of food for the night he noticed a white hare hopping along what seemed to be a beaten path to who knows where. Grinning broadly Aries' eyes narrowed looking cold and decisive as he flew back over to the branch he was previously on folding his delicate wings to his back his tail swaying in excitement.
" oohhhhh hello dinner" Aries thought to himself before jumping rather quietly from branch to branch fallowing behind the odd little hare contemplating if he should smoke or just roast the hare when he caught it.

After a few hours of tailing the hare mouth watering at all the ideas he had on eating the hare along the way Aries cursed his mind for teasing him in such a manor before focusing on the hare noticing now a girl with curly blue hair and a curios hat conversing with the hare walking to a large almost gate like opening.
"woah" Aries thought to himself staring at the large gate in amazement wondering to himself if this is the gate he heard of as a young child the one that lead to the very animals who starved his people his bright yellow eyes glowing with possibility " I don't suppose that they use that for shipping and handling" .

Aries gave the gate a second look before shaking all the bad memories from his mind and the horrible joke in a attempt to calm himself down for he did not wish to talk to that..... darker side of himself... no of someone but Aries knew that monster inside of him was not the same person as Aries waiting for the hare and the young girl to leave Aries dropped himself down to solid ground carefully striding twords the gate with a air of overconfidence .

" Time to show these "humans" what happens when you rip something dear to someone away i will punish them for what they've done...."
Whipeing a small tear of blood from the corner of his eyes for the first time fully realizing that he has been alone for all his life with no friends parents or even his own people secretly hoping to maybe find some friends beyond the gate or even someone to love... " yes ... payback" Aries thought to himself slightly unsure.

Robin stood there, in a large open meadow surrounded by beautiful coniferous forest, the meadow littered with perennial plants shooting out there buds. The grass brushing against his feet as he inhaled the air. The sweet smell of wilderness filled his nose as he quickly released his grip from his arrow. The arrow sliced through the air at amazing speeds but missed the target by a long shot. The arrow seemed to as almost push away from the squirrel he was pointing at. His face flooded with red. "Dammit!" He had been on a streak of misses and he new something was off. The squirrel scurried away as it seemed to mock him. He surveyed the Forrest around him. His boots pressing down on the tall grass, he stomped off in anger until he came into town. He tucked away his bow and sat himself down in time square. Robin gobbled his bread as he peered the people passing him by seeing him as another peasant.

Peter appeared on the front end of what seemed to be some sort of ship, in the middle of the night. When he had left his home, he had been on Hook's ship, so he guessed that probably made some sense... Wait! Did that mean he was on a pirate ship?! Did they even HAVE pirates in these times? He certainly hoped so. He would hate to not be able to get in some excitement while here in this world. Suddenly he heard a shout from behind him, in a language he didn't recognize. It wasn't English, nor was it the language of the Picaninny tribe, or the seemingly foreign language the pirates got when they were under the influence of too much grog. He turned around to see a man with a long scraggly beard holding what appeared to be some sort of rifle in front of him, aiming at Peter. His face was covered in scars, so presumably he had been in many fights. "So, uh, are you guys, like, pirates?" The man didn't seem to understand any of the words except 'pirate', presumably because he heard his victims say it. He shouted again, presumably trying to get help. It seemed that either his comrades were asleep, drunk, or just didn't care. The pirate ran up to Peter and attempted to smash the butt of the strange gun into his face, presumably so the pirates could keep him captive. Unfortunately, Peter was too fast, and within 30 seconds, Peter had knocked the man down and had the strange gun in his hands. "Even though I don't seem to have my powers here, I can still fight pirates like the best of 'em" He noted with a smirk of satisfaction. He looked around the ship, and found an entrance to what he assumed was belowdecks. He crept down slowly, trying to be careful not to wake anyone... Suddenly there was movement, and three more pirates, all aiming rifles at him, were standing up, all as tough-looking as the first. Peter considered fighting them, then quickly decided against it, considering he didn't know what the strange guns they had could do, and that he didn't have his powers. He raised his hands in what he hoped was still a sign of surrender in this strange place, and was quickly tied up and put in a cell by the pirates. "Well, this didn't turn out as well as I hoped...

"A match? Would anyone wish for a match for the cold night?" Evelyn asked the various people that passed her by in the crowded streets, her voice soft and airy. Some people gave her weird looks as they passed her without words, but the small woman payed no mind to them and focused on the task at hand; selling her matches in order to get some money to have some housing and quite possibly food for the freezing night. She had no idea where she ended up, but now that she was here she figured that she might as well try and make the best of her situation. Evelyn didn't know how long she had stood out there in the snowy night, clad in only her simple white-knit dress and her dark green plaid cloak, without shoes to protect her pale feet from the icy streets. However she was used to going through scenarios like this, so it didn't really affect or shock her.

Finally, things seemed to be going her way as the night grew darker and colder. Some people had taken pity of her frail form out in the weather alone and had decided to give Evelyn more money than a match would cost, a few others even giving her some warm food or drink. Evelyn would give them a bright smile and profusely thank them for their kindness and generosity.

Maddie, twirled around looking at the new sights in front of her. She was in awe and amazement as she looked around. Though the colors were dull here compared to the bright ones of her world, it still held a wonderment to her. There were these forgien things that rode on giant wheels and made all sorts of noises. And the smells. Well those kind of stunk to her. It made her nose itch and she sneezed repeatedly. Sniffling a bit, she walked past a few houses and looked at the families inside. They didn't look like what you would think a happy family would look like. The mom and dad were sitting on a couch watching t.v, as the kids were up in thier rooms playing games or on the computer. Maddie frown deeply. "And this is why we are dissapearing. I think it's time to put some fairy tale life back into this world". A smiled spread over her lips as she held onto the top hat and skipped off, wondering what else she could find.

Chess looked around at all the new things in awe. There's was so many new sights and smells. I mean most of them were gross but still they were NEW! Maddies voice knocked him out of his awe. Turning he looked at her as she spoke and grinned his usual large grin when she finished. It was time to get his crazy back on! Cackling he followed her as she ran. Maddie is always fun to be around and leaves Madness wherever she goes.

Rumplestilskin walks through a forest, just searching for some lady to make a deal with. He walks over some old leaves and places his hand on a tree.

"Whew boy am I tired, I need to learn to slow down and take more breaks or my bodies going to give out"

Rumplestiltskin slides his hand down the tree, his body following.

A FEW MOMENTS PASS

Some travelers are heard off in the distance. Rumplestilskin pops his head up and snickers.

"I will follow these people until they need something" says Rumplestiltskin through a smirk.

The travelers pass through the trees towards the south and He sits up.The travelers gets awfully close before He realizes that one of them is a female. He rubs his hands together.

"Just Perfect" Rumplestilskin speaks as he walks in front of them

"Excuse us sir we need to get by you" says one of the male travelers

"Oh well where will you guys be headed?"

"We are headed to the Castle, would you mind telling us where we are?" Lightly speaks the female of the group

"Ah why yes just keep walking this direction for another day or two and you should make it there" smirks Rumplestilskin as he finds that he will be wasting his time on this female.

"Thank you very much" says the female

The travelers continue on their journey to the castle. Rumplestilskin waves goodbye to them and continues forth.
