Realistic or Modern Never Love A Wild Thing

Syrus~

Syrus leaned over the counter as he waited for his drink and the pastries that he wanted as well.It was morning time so,he understood why business was a little slow...well a lot slower than when the sun is fully up in the sky.He turned to Kendall and gave her a half smile,"Well, you're not so good yourself if I do say so myself Missy."he told her.Syrus had then looked back at the girl just in time to catch a blush on her face as she had taken the coffee from the waiter. He looked back at the person behind the counter and took his things, paid, then decided to go after her since she seemed like she needed company."Why're ya such in a hurry?"he asked Ava managing to slip into a spot beside her and walk beside her as well.He sipped his coffee and looked at her,"Not much of a talker I see...Ava is it?"he asked her again hoping that she'd at least say something to him instead of letting the sounds of the town filter into their ears."Ya know, even though I did see you,you didn't embarrass yourself like you think you did babe."he told her.

Ava rushed out of the café thinking she had made it past Syrus before he could see her leave, But she was wrong, Here Syrus came up right behind her making his way up beside her. Ava gulped. She could feel Syrus' presents coming closer to her. Why was she getting so nervous? Yeah maybe he was hot and maybe she never had to deal with this before but why was she so nervous? She never got this way before. Ava turned and looked at Syrus, She flashed him a nervous smile "Well I wanna get down to the beach before it rains again." Ava gestured toward the sky which looked like it was going to rip open.

Ava looked down at her feet as she sipped her coffee and headed toward the beach. Out of all the girls he could have he was following Ava. Ava couldn't wrap her mind around that thought, Why her? Ava heard him ask her if he was correct on her name being Ava. She nodded and looked over at him "How'd you know my name?" Ava was actually surprised he knew who she was. It's not like he asked around about her. She wasn't very popular in high school. And she certainly made no attempts to stick out so how could he know her name? Ava thought about it some more, It could've been from the rumor that got spread around when she first moved here, But they were all such terrible rumors not one was even close enough to the truth.

The sound of the town filled their ears within the silence between the two. She didn't know what to say to him. "What do you mean like I think I did? I know for a fact that I embarrassed myself. Only weird people stare. and at that moment I was that weird person." Ava bit down on her bottom as she looked down at her feet as she walked. The side walk hit the sand and Ava knew she was finally at the beach. She stopped in her tracks and looked out towards the beach. The sun was right over the horizon. It was bright and could hurt your eyes. She smiled and took a deep breath. "Isnt it beautiful. Ive missed this smell." Ava closed her eyes and took another deep breath as she turned and looked at Syrus, who seemed to be studying her causing Ava to blush a bright red and turn away.

Olivia Forester

Olivia had managed to let herself zone out some and now found herself staring curiously at Jesse, a guy she had seen around quite often but never spoken to. He had always come in with various bruises and scrapes on his face but she never had the heart to ask where it come from. Though, if it were something bad Olivia was sure he wouldn't wander in here in such a good mood.

"Hi. Um, is this seat taken?" Olivia was startled slightly by the sound of someone's voice close by. Quickly snapping herself back to reality, she looked up at the person who had approached her. Olivia smiled softly at Xavier and shook her head. "No, it isn't taken... You can sit down if you want," she responded kindly. Most people around the shop just sat around and talked to each other but they never usually approached Olivia. Of course, she was also usually behind the counter more often than not so it wasn't as easy to approach her.

Taking a sip of her cappuccino, Olivia looked back over at Xavier, smiling softly at him. He looked a few years younger than her but, so far, he seemed like a nice guy. Olivia had seen him around here before but he never seemed to be interacting much, either. She wandered briefly why he had come over to strike up a conversation but she quickly assumed he was just as bored as she was; he looked it anyways. Olivia thought about saying something else to him but wasn't sure what exactly to say. Eventually, she figured out the easiest way to continue the conversation and ease any awkwardness. "I'm Olivia, by the way," she said before taking another sip of her drink.

Robin Lucky Pierce

"Um..." She thought, Where would I go? She had never really asked herself that. All she knew was that she was going to leave this sh*t town. Robin's knees wobbled as they walked forward. "Let me get back to you on that." She said to Clarence sheepishly. They got to the back room after a few of Robin's wobbly steps. She scoffed at the 'Employees Only' sign as they walked in. She was about to lie down after she sat on the small bed, but he put his hands on her shoulders, and she looked up at him with a small blush on her cheeks, her mouth ajar. He slid off her damp jacket. Her striped sweater hung off of one of her small shoulders. One of her hands rose up, and pulled it up, covering her fair skin. He looked like he was about to leave, but before he did, she gripped his hand with her cold fingers, and she looked at him with a small smile.

"Listen, Clarence," she said with a sigh, breath minty smelling. "I need something." She eyed his lips for a moment before looking up at him with a cheeky snicker. "Gimme a goodnight kiss." Robin joked, but part of her felt like she wasn't joking. Her lips went ajar, though she was still smiling at him. Robin was wonky when she was exhausted, and everyone knew that. But no one could tell right now if she was being serious or not since she was sleepy. No one would know if she would even remember what had happened right then and there. But, it was a risk some would take, just to kiss her. Maybe Robin was falling for Clarence, too. She was nice to him when she wasn't all out of tune. There was a brief pause between them, and it looked like Rob was waiting, but it was hard to tell. Robin absently licked her lips and she put her jacket in her lap.

Clarence Jericko-Hollister & Beck Hollister

His mind already told him to, before Rob even mentioned it. Clarence only knew the girl for a week, but it seemed like a lifetime in those brief moments. If falling in love with Rob meant getting one step closer to freedom, then so be it. He gave his signature smirk and kissed the heavy eyed girl. There was no guarantee that Robin would remember it, but it gave him all the more reason to do it. It wasn't on the cheek, nor the forehead, or the crown of her head. He kissed her, and he couldn't deny that he liked it.

Clarence let go. The kiss was abrupt, yet meaningful and all the guy could do was smile. He would have done it again if it weren't for the sound of the café's bell that rung above the door when a customer entered. It was a terrible reminder that reality broke through his fantasy. "I've got to go." he huffed under his breath. Clarence wasn't proud of leaving Robin, but he wouldn't be any happier if he didn't get paid. He slowly got up off the bed and smiled. Did he really do what he thought he did? Did he just kiss her? Or was that a dream? It sure the hell felt like a dream. Clarence opened the door to leave and turned back to see Robin still where he left her. "I'll be back. I promise." he replied as he gave a wink and left.

"No. You didn't!" Beck said as she watched Clarence turn the corner and slide behind the counter. "Did you f*cking get laid?" Beck whispered, yet it hardly sounded like a whisper. Clarence rolled his eyes and stared at her for a moment. "You did!" Beck replied with a soft gasp. Clarence wasn't a guy to love easy, especially considering most of the time he was pretty abrasive. Though, now, he's a totally different person. "If you could pipe down that would be great. We'll talk about it later. And for your information, it was a kiss. Now, run off and make some friends for a change." Clarence said as he started taking some orders at the counter. "Fine then, lover boy. I'll leave you to your fairytale." she replied with a sarcastic giggle.

Beck didn't wander too far. She honestly just sat on one of the stools at the counter and stared at the people who started pouring into the café. It was obviously past noon considering the hoard of people who stormed in for their lunch break. Beck could hardly recognize these people. She had only been here for a week, and most of it she spent in cell 18607, which she liked to consider her own personal home away from "home". Hopefield would never be considered Beck's home. Not until it had some sort of meaning. She spun aimlessly in her chair for a while, staring down at the silver cuffs that were still trying to embed themselves into her skin.

Xavier smiled a little when Olivia said he could sit down and said a quiet "Thanks". He half expected her to tell him to piss off or something along those lines. People weren't exactly rude like that, but they usually just stuck to their little groups. Taking a seat, Xavier placed his coffee cup on the small table in front of him. "Nice to meet you. I'm Xavier," he introduced himself. He wasn't really sure what else he was supposed to say, but decided to just explain why he'd sat down. "I've seen you behind the counter a few times, and figured I would sit with you since you looked kinda..." He paused, trying to think of a word that wouldn't be rude. "You looked kinda bored," he finally said with a shrug, taking a sip of his coffee. He looked around the cafe, watching more people come and go. "So besides hanging out here and talking to random people, what else do you do?" He asked after a few seconds of silence, not used to talking to people enough to know how else to continue the conversation.

Jesse~

Jesse sighed and pushed his plate away as the cafe filled with more and more people. From the corner of his eye,he caught someone staring at him but,he didn't act upon it besides, letting it go wouldn't hurt anyone. He smirked and watched Clarence and Robin do there little thing.
That's something...new he thought to himself as he twirled around the stirring stick in his coffee.A few minutes later,he saw Clarence walk back out and instantly knew what had happened.A kiss...that's really new.Ok Cj...you go. he said in his mind and laughed a bit looking down at his phone. He looked at Beck and smiled before walking over to her."Hey,need something?"he asked taking out the sliver key to the cuffs he had sneaked out of the police's back pocket,he was good at that.He unlocked them and put the cuffs onto the counter."You're welcome."he said before walking back over to his sit and grabbing his bag. Before leaving,he order a cup of orange juice then would go for a walk.

Syrus~

Syrus looked at her then back to whatever was in front of him."Before it rains?Rain is great...even more great when you're at the beach and it start to rain in mist form."he told her then shrugged and tossed the empty cup into the garbage can.Syrus looked at her when she asked that question,"Sweetie,I know everyone's name...I have a good memory so,if I've heard your name once then it's stuck forever unless I chose to forget."he told her then stuck his hands into his pockets. He laughed at the next thing she asked."Hun,girls will stare at cute guys. That's like...their nature and besides,I don't blame you anyway. You're someone to stare at to babe."he told her and looked at her then watched as they started to step onto sand.He wasn't even focus on Ava who had run off in front of him. Then, when she spoke, his gaze of the water had broke then his eyes wandered to her...studying.He laughed a little when she turned back around then went up to her."Well, what are you waiting for?"he told her before pulling off his shirt and shorts then running and diving into the ocean swimming around.

Ava wasn't surprised he said that. She looked down at her feet and mumbled under her breath "So I've heard." She looked up at the ocean it was so beautiful and so rough. The storm must be really bad off coast. Ava heard Syrus and felt a breeze float right by her. It was Syrus running down to the water as he ripped off his shirt. She felt embarrassed to be looking at him as he undressed. But she couldn't help it. It was like he was photo shopped. Every part of him was perfect. She laughed as she watched him dive into the water.

I really hope he doesn't expect me to go swimming with him I didn't bring a bathing suit.

Ava watched Syrus as he swam around. It made her smile. Watching him swim was like watching a child come to the beach for the first time. It was full of joy. It made her smile knowing that this made him happy. She heard him call out from the water and her smile slowly faded away. She stood up and took off her cardigan and her purse and laid them down on the beach as she walked toward the water. She let her feet touch the wet sand as the waves washed up onto her feet. Ava moved back fast "The water is freezing how can you be swimming in this." She probably would've gotten in if it wasn't so cold. The water made her shiver and she smiled at the fact that Syrus didn't like her answer so much.

Syrus~

Syrups swam around a few more times then popped his head out out of the water and called to Ava who was smiling. He smiled halfway back then watched her come down to the shore.Syrus got up out of the water and sighed,"Oh come on,you know it's always cold at first."he told her watching her play around in the water with her foot.Syrus smiled and got an idea then quickly grabbed Ava and went into the water with her then dunked her in and laughed a little before bringing her back up.He didn't know if she could swim or not so he didn't wanna go out to far."Do you wanna go surfing?I love surfing..that's alright if you don't know how."he told her then laughed and splashed her before running out of the water and to the nearest surf shop.

Ava ran "NO NO NO!" But Syrus was to fast he grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder and dunked her in the water. Ava came up gasping for air. The cold made it hard to breathe but all she could do was laugh. Everytime she would look at Syrus another wave would crash into them knocking her over. But Ava was still smiling. Ava's ears perked up once she heard Syrus mention surfing. She was shocked at the fact that he asked that. No one in this town really seemed that much into surfing.

Ava watched as Syrus ran toward the surf shop that sat right on the edge of the beach. It was called 'The Wave' and it reminded her of 'Ava's Place' everything seemed to remind her of it. But all she could do was brush it off and follow Syrus. They ran through the sand Ava quickly grabbing her purse and trailing right behind him. As soon as they hit the shop they stopped running and parted ways. Ava headed toward the bathing suit section. She knew damn well she wouldn't be able to surf in this dress. Which was already ruined. But she didn't care, Ava just couldn't stop smiling. She grabbed a bikini and paid for it and headed to the bathroom to change.

After changing Ava headed to where the surf boards were. The one that caught her eye the most was a white and pink roxy board. It reminded her of the board her dad had gotten her when she first learned how to surf. That memory sparked a smile on her face. She bought the board and started to head out of the shop and turned to look at Syrus. "So you coming or what?" She then immediately took off toward the water with her new board in her hand.

Beck Hollister

Beck sat there for a moment in shock. The guy literally stole the keys from the cop and had the decency to take the cuffs off. She rubbed her bruised wrist for a second and watched as he was about to leave and jerked herself up. "Hey!" she said running over to him in order to catch him by the door. "So is that what you do? Unlock a girl's handcuffs and leave?" she replied with a smirk. She didn't know the guy, but she wasn't going to just have him leave without a decent conversation. "I'm Beck, by the way." she stated as she looked over the stranger. Tall, dark, and handsome. "Damn." she huffed under her breath. Beck wasn't in it for a hook up, but it was pretty obvious he wasn't a bad looking guy.

Kyle awoke to the feeling of an insistent dripping on his forehead. Groaning and lifting his shirt to his face, he realized that this was not a dream and something was actually dripping on him. Instantly his eyes were open and his was out of bed, ready to yell at one of his younger sibling for messing with him, but he quickly realized that it was not one of them playing a prank on him. The roof had been consistently getting worse and it was finally starting to get holes in it. Rainwater from outside was leaking in and, just his luck, that hole was right above his bed. Kyle sighed heavily, stressing out about how he was going to deal with this. He didn't have enough money to hire someone to fix the roof, he barely had enough money to put food in his stomach. At this thought, his stomach growled as if reading his thoughts and Kyle dragged himself into the bathroom to take a shower.

His shower was quick, wouldn't want to waste too much hot water, and did nothing to wake him. Kyle glanced in the mirror at his reflection and shook his head at the dark circles underneath his eyes. Sleep was rare for him due to having to watch several hyperactive toddlers, and even when they had finally tired themselves enough to fall asleep, worry kept him wide awake. In another life, Kyle thought he could actually be attractive, but stress was an ugly thing that had possessed him. So with a second glance at the boy in the mirror, he sauntered back into his room and pulled on some clothes.

After dressing, Kyle made his way into the kitchen in search for the one thing making it possible for him to even stay awake, caffeine. Opening the lid to his treasured coffee container, a quiet screech found its way out of his mouth. How was this possible? He was officially out of coffee. A slight obsession led him to writing a note telling his siblings that he'd be back and he was out the door before he could even stop himself. His first stop was the local grocers, but he left saddened by the fact that he seemed to only have enough money for a measly cup of tea. So he walked another couple blocks before entering the coffee shop, going a bit to fast. Of course he hadn't been paying any attention at all and bombarded straight into two people talking by the door. He smiled sheepishly at them as he pulled himself off of the ground.
"Geez run right into me, why don't you?" he joked.

Olivia smiled back at Xavier. "Not a problem," she said adjusting her position in the seat. She let her gaze wonder around to the other people in and just outside the coffee shop. She had seen a handful of people leave while some people simply hovered. Olivia always wanted to be more involved in the group but never had the chance to introduce herself to anyone but a few people. From what she had overheard over time, it seemed as though some of them had met in school while others just around town or even from the shop.

"It's nice to meet you, too," she responded, still sipping on her cappuccino that had only cooled slightly. Olivia let her gaze remain wandering until he decided to speak again. She was honestly glad he decided to break the awkward silence. As he spoke, she kept her eyes on him and listened to him speak, well, mostly. Olivia had only heard some of what he had said since she her thoughts began overlapping. She couldn't help but think for a brief second that he was attractive.. But that quickly passed when she snapped out of her thoughts after realizing that he was much younger than she was.

"Well, to be honest, I am pretty bored but I'm just on a break so I can't really go far..." She thought for a moment about what to say next but she should have thought a bit longer before continuing. "I don't talk to many people here.. And it doesn't seem like you do, either." Olivia leaned back in her seat just as her manager came out and gestured for her to come back behind the counter. With a sigh, Olivia stood. "Looks like I have to get back to work... I'll see you around..?" She smiled softly and made her way behind the counter, donning her apron once more, and walking reluctantly up to a register.

Olivia was immediately greeted by a customer who wanted an necessarily complicated order. She forced out a wry smile to the businessman and made his drink before bringing it back to him. Olivia handed him the cup but was met with an unpleasant reaction. "This smells odd," he said. Olivia held back a sigh, "Maybe you should taste it before making judgement..." She said through clenched teeth and, before he could respond, she continued, "Have a nice day sir and enjoy your drink." Olivia watched the man storm off angrily but clearly in a hurry. She shook her head and watched out the door past him, instantly noticing that someone new had arrived.. Another guy. Olivia had never seen him before, that she could think of anyways, but she kind of wished she had.

Robin Lucky Pierce

He smirked at her, and she melted inside. Call her shallow, whatever, she isn't, but she was a sucker for good looks, and that smirk could just be the bane of her just partially feminine existence. Robin's eyelids fell as his lips pressed against hers. For two reasons, though. One, she was tired, and two, you don't kiss with open eyes. That's just pretty weird. For a few moments that seemed like forever, their lips moved in sync, Robin's head tilted slightly. Her eyes opened, and her mouth was left ajar as he pulled away from, her lips. Her lips tingled lightly, and she shut her mouth, a small smirk curling over her features. The kiss left her wanting more but that was a secret she would never tell. For now, at least. Clarence had to leave, and she laughed as he had to go to work and she paused her laughing slowly so it wouldn't look like she was phased by his wink, when she was. Robin yawned, and turned on her side, her back facing the door. Rob's eyes closed and it felt like a pillow was smothering her, but she didn't need to breath. She was being enveloped by sleep, and it was good, she needed it desperately. She just needed to remember to be up by four o' clock to pick up the five and a half year old to break her the news. Then probably have some beer, maybe.

Jesse~

Jesse sipped his orange juice and was about to go out of the door before he heard Beck run over to him and say a few words. He smirked at her wondering why she had forgotten him.Jesse tilted his head and rose his eyebrow then smiled halfway."I know you're Beck.Wow,three years away from this place and people start to forget you."he said to her and laughed before taking off his shades."Well,it seems like you forgot.I'm Jesse,Beck."he said to her before looking towards the person who ran into them."Hey,you were the one who ran into us."he said and shrugged before helping the guy up while he tried pulling himself up as well.Putting his sunshades back on,he looked back towards Beck,"See you around then?"he asked."Or you could follow me,whatever floats your boat dear."he told her before moving out of the males way then out of the door and down the sidewalk.

Syrus~

Syrus stretched and walked into his work place, which was run by his older cousin and him.He watched as Ava picked out her board then admired her pick in boards,it wasn't a bad one at all.He smirked at the comment she made before she had ran off and went into the water. He slipped into the back room and put on his normal swim clothes and surf suit then grabbed his board that his cousin got him from Hawaii and ran into the water on the opposite side where Ava was where most surfer went if they wanted bigger waves. He laid down on the board while waiting for bigger waves. He looked up at the sky and watched as the clouds rolled away and the sun began to shine bright.

Ava sat straddling her board waiting for a big wave to come her way. She used to use this time to catch up with her dad and have heart to hearts. A frown started to form on her face and she could feel a tear start to roll down. She quickly whipped it away. Ava looked toward the horizon and saw a swell start to form. She got ready and started to paddle to catch it but she got distracted by Syrus. He looked so sexy with his board under his arm heading into the water. Ava snapped out of her train of thought when she realized she was about hit the water head first. "Oh sh*t!" Ava went rolling with the under tow. After the wave was done Ava swam to the top gasping for air. She clung to her board as she breathed in and out. She finally got back on her board and swam back to where she was. Another wave started to form.

I'm going to catch this one for sure!

Ava started to use her arms to paddle she could feel her board catch the wave and she immediately stood up and started to tear up the surf. It felt good to be on the board again. A slight smile formed on Ava's face. She came up to the end of her surf and started to head up to the top of the wave. Ava unhooked the board from her ankle and jumped off her board cannonballing into the ocean "WOOHOO!" She yelled before she hit the water.
