Never forgetable journey

"Ildrem, it's a days walk from where meet. The out skirts of it." Ellie grinned at the thought of her hometown. it seems so long ago since she was there, she couldn't believe that it was only this morning that she had left. Her legs burnt, from all the walking she had done, she wasn't use to traveling for so long or over so much distance.

"Amazing. I've heard stories about that town, but I've never experienced any town life." He snuggled up closer to her. "I've lived here for as long as i know. I don't even know my parents. Or if i had any." He drank the hot chocolate, relaxing from a rather stress filled day.

"It's a little bitty town. It's not that impressive. What kind of stories?" She asked, liking how he felt next to her. She liked that he was so comfortable with her. What was it about him that made her relax lime this? "I'm sorry about the whole parents thing" She snuggled closer to him. She could feel his warmth seeping into her.

"Something i hear from the wildlife. I've lived with them long enough to be connected with every animal in the wild. I've heard stories, of public execution, of praise, and of grief and agony." He hoped she was comfortable, starting to worry. "Are you comfortable?"

She nodded, she didn't quite understand him that well yet. He was still a mystery that needed to be solved, something was almost to good to be real about him. She dieced thought that she'll wait for another day to figure that all out. Tonight she wanted nothing more than to relax and get some rest somewhere dry. She took a long drink of the hot chocolate he'd made her and said, "as comfortable as one can be, when there in someones house that they haven't know that long but trust. Where you serious when you said you would join me on my journey?" She wondered if that would be cheating or if that would be allowed. Her mother didn't explained this well to her. She was vee secretive about the path but she kept implying that Ellie would find her way and that it was a task from the heavens.

"Of course I'm serious, I'd love to come along." His eyes were drowsy, from fatigue. Hunting exhausted him and he was just about ready to go to sleep. "We can start tomorrow, I'm really tired. I'm gonna go to bed alright? Sleep well." He kissed her cheek and flopped onto his bed, falling asleep instantly.

She stayed up for awhile longer to expect where she was stay. She wanted to get a better feel for this guy that she was going to travel with. After awhile she lays next to the fire and let the wind and rain carry her off to sleep.

Morning soon came, the birds singing their beautiful song, happy dragonflies humming along, and the sun drying the water drops of rain. He woke up, to see her sleeping, and he smiled. She looked so beautiful in her sleep, like a calm peaceful princess. "Hey are you ready to go? Wake up.."

She looked groggily at him and nodded. "Ya, I'm ready to leave." Her voice was a little rasp from the nights rest. She rubbed her eyes and said, " is it even day light?" She isn't really use to the traveling that she did the day before.

He nodded at her, picking her up. Its morning time, and the light shone through the window. "Wakey wakey." He giggled, she looked so amazing. Like an angel to him. "Cmon, lets get going."He carried her to the door. "Well lets find something to eat."

"Why are you carrying me?" She mumbled sounding confused by the thought of him being so kind. "You don't have to I'll walk. I can walk." She said, trying to move to make him out her down. She isn't use to having someone to take care of her like this, why is he doing this? Not that she minded, or that she didn't like that he cared. She grinned up at him.

"Is there a problem? I just want you to feel safe Ellie." He put her down, smiling. He held her hand and began walking to the town. It wasn't so far, but the trail was littered with leaves, rain drops, and dead branches.

 

[animaltamer]

"No, I just don't want to be carried. I like to walk. I'm not lazy, as some may think I am." She said with a small laugh. She didn't normally feel comfortable with joking with people, she didn't tend to like others eithers . Leon was different though, he put off the air off safety and warmth. He didn't want to hurt her at all, he just wanted to help and some how she knew that.

He smiled and laughed softly. He hadn't laughed in a while. He was moody and melancholy most of the time. "I don't think that Ellie. I just wanna keep my new friend safe. This forest hides many dangers." He reached and held her hand.

 

[animaltamer]

She grinned at him and said, "I'm glad that we are friends. Thanks for joining me on my journey, these type of things are always easier, I would expect, when you have friends to go with you." She liked him. She liked having this new friend, she also enjoyed not being alone like she normal was. He made her feel less isolated than anyone she had ever meet before. As they are walk through the forest, there is something ominous about the forest that isn't normally there. The two of them can hear the eerie sound of steps coming towards them.

He put a hand up, signaling her to stop. "Stop here. We have to wait, let me talk, the wildlife see you as a danger, so i will make sure they don't harm you, ok?" He was worried about her, Ellie seemed to make him a different person rather than the cold hearted, tough mannered person he was.

She nodded. She wanted him to be safe. She didn't know what was going on but she was worried about him. The foot steps grower louder than expected at a quicker rate. It didn't belong here. It sounded like a Minotaur, but that isn't right. Those normally aren't out that far. They are more in the meadows.

 

[Monarchofthewind]

A Minotaur was the case. However he didn't look like he wanted to harm them. "Good day Minotaur. What brings you to this amazing forest?" The minotaur was gasping for breath. "The humans are attacking the plains! We are in danger!"

"We have to stop them," Ellie said looking rather upset. She didn't like violence for no good reason, or even if there was a good reason. She did however believe in defending what is her own and what was being attacked for no good reason.

 

[Monarchofthewind]

"Alright. Ready up your men." He pulled is black katana out. "Do you wanna stay behind? This could get very dangerous, considering you are a townsperson." He had readied up his katana, calling on the environment to lend him he powers of the earth.

The minotaurs nodded and heads to ready his men. "I'm going to join you. Maybe I can help calm the towns people down." Ellie said. Why would they do thay, she thought to her self. The town people aren't like that normally, they are selfish but they didn't want the meadow. What's going on in the meadow? She really wonder. "I can help," She added as a after thought. Leon called upon the environment to lend him it's power, which the woods nymphs release a glowing green energy. The energy filled the air around Ellie and Leon, lighting it up almost like sparkles.

"Don't be afraid Ellie. The wood nymphs wish to help us." He started to glow, the brightness covering both Ellie and Leon. "Now we must see what the problem is. Lets go, we don't have much time!" He grabbed her hand and began running.

She struggled to keep up with him, by the time they reached the meadow, she was out of breath and covered in sweat. In the meadow there was a small bloody wear raging on. Humans and minotaurs bodies are clashing with weapons that are causing red blood of the humans and the thicker crimson blood of minotaurs are mixing on the ground. There was a stench of iron and metal in the air. "This is sickening." Ellie says

He lifted his arms and sang a delightful tone, rising energy of the natural earth, blasting away at the enemies. "Ellie, see if you can negotiate. This is pointless for all i know." He began to fight them off, as he was a very skilled sword fighter and the katana added better attacks.

Ellie moves to the man in charge and asks, "why do you want this land?" This is the only thing that Leon hears before he rushes into battle before he can hear there conversation
