Really? What ship is it? I've never actually been able to see an aircraft carrier in person. Only got to be on some English Destroyers and a Sub before. But I was young and can't remember their names.
well take your pick, the Stennis or the nimitz.

Good lord.

I am gone for a few minutes to write a post and all of a sudden I find this long conversation taking place without me!! I"M HURT!!

Heh. Actually, no I'm not.

Anyway, @Shyla Nesthorn, if you could provide me with the basic rundown of how an air force pilot graduates that'd be awesome. I don't need the entire story from beginning to end, but a basic rundown of how they prepare for graduation and what in general takes place during graduation when they are declared pilots officially and whatnot.

I may have to edit my intro depending on what you tell me.

Thank you in advance!

THE NIMITZ?!

You are so lucky, getting to see two Nimitz class super carriers on a regular basis. I never get to see military ships. Closest I get to see regularly is the old Huron 102mm twin turret that's been put on display at the military base in town. :c

Intro was a bit shorter than I intended, but oh well!!

Intro is up, and graduation ceremony concluded!

When I open the RP to posting, you'll all be free to jump off from this point.

Till then, just sit tight and we'll wait until Dai's character is accepted to begin!

Lot's of training and simulation. Lot's of hard work. You can't even start training unless your the rank of 2nd Lt.

Subs are great. Wouldn't want to go on one again. That goddamn creaking noise is the scariest thing ever.

Yea, the one I went on when I was younger was an older one that is retired now. I can't remember anything about it except that noise.

As for me, I tend to prefer the older ships. Big hunks of metal with large guns that could tear any of these newer ships in half. Gone are the days of the battleships. Now it's just destroyers and missiles.

yet we all forget about those machines that lurk beneath the sea, silently hunting the oceans with deadly precision.

You'd be a fool to forget them. The silent hunters are the most deadly. Especially back then.

I live in Houston Texas. We have the USS Texas down here. Which is the New York Class battleship that served in WWI and WWII. Also just about three hours from here is the USS Lexington.
You guys and your big navies. Meanwhile we literally only have one destroyer, a few frigates and four patrol subs.

Canada?

Yeah. It totally sucks. I thought I might have a chance as it used to be if you'd been off it for 3 or so years, you had a chance. Not good enough anymore apparently.

@Shyla Nesthorn
Canada?
