Hey guys!

Welcome to the OOC thread!

If you guys need help at all, I'm here for you! Ask any questions you want answered or need answered and I'll get back to you in a few hours, if not right away.

Here is a list of questions you can use to fill out your profile's more demanding sections with ease:

(Don't feel limited to answering with single sentences. Use as many sentences as it takes to answer a single questions to really help fill and flesh our your characters)

Personality:

* Who is your character?

* Who do they value the most in their lives?

* Are they family oriented, estranged, or indifferent?

* Do they have friends who they grew up with who helped shape their mentality and manner of thinking?

* Do they have a mentor or perhaps someone else of importance, say a lover, who helped forge part of their mentality and manner of thinking?

* When it comes to how they look at life itself, what is their viewpoint and why?

* Who in their lives helped make them who they are today?

* Who in their lives almost destroyed them emotionally or mentally (if anyone did at all of course)?

* Why do they do what they do?

* What aspect of their lives shapes (or helped shape) their sense of moral principles?

Description:

* Do they look the same, slightly different, or very different from the provided image?

* If they look different, by how much? (clothing, hairstyle or color, eye color, shape of the jaw, muscle mass, skin tone, etc,)

* How tall are they, or rather, how tall do they look based on body proportion? (As an example, longer legs give the impression of greater height to the eye even if there's no physical object to compare the actual height to)

* What shape are their eyes, what color, and are the eyes soft and meek or piercing and strong?

* Do they often smile, or do they scowl?

* How do they carry themselves? (Upright and proud posture, forward hunching and meek posture, somewhere in between?)

* How long are their arms, and are they flimsy or powerful?

* How long are their legs, and are they flimsy or powerful?

* Do they wear any specific clothing which is characteristic of them or do they have a different outfit every day?

* Do they keep themselves well kept or unkempt? (Anything goes really from hair, clothing, whatever)

* Do they have any identifiable traits such as scars, tattoos, piercings, prosthetic limbs, etc,?

* If the answer to the previous question is "yes," how and why did they get them and when did they get them? (This is easily a paragraph all on its own)

Biography:

Paragraph 1 example questions:

* Who are your character's parents?

* How did they meet?

* Where did they meet?

* At what point in time in their lives did they meet?

* Did they decide on kids or was it a happy/not so happy accident?

* Is your character the first child, middle child, most recent child, or only child?

* Whatever the answer to the previous question, why is this so? (Did their parents only want one, did they want a specific number, did one of them perish on a raid and so there's no more siblings from this point on? Be creative here and don't rely on the "this parent died" excuse as it's more than a little stale and contrived)

* During the first and earliest years, who was your child's most prominent figure of authority and why?

Paragraph 2 example questions:

* As your character began to grow and develop, who was there for them and who was not?

* Who in your character's life was a help, or a hindrance?

* Who were your character's first friends, and why?

* Who were your character's first rivals, and why?

* Who or what in your character's life at this early stage (around ages 7-13 or so) helped your character develop a sense of self? (who taught them to be proud of who they were and why did it become important?)

* Who were your character's first teachers, not only in aviation, but in life as well?

* Who in these younger years influenced the choice to fly, if anyone? (maybe they chose to fly later in life in which case this question does not apply)

* If they were inspired to fly this early, by whom or what? (perhaps seeing a demonstration of aerial acrobatics at a show or something?)

* Did they plan to fly at all this early, or was it just a desire to join the military in general and see where it took them?

Paragraph 3 example questions:

* As your character grew further into a young adult (14-18), how did their lives change?)

* Did high school (or a lack of high school for dropouts) help or hinder their desires to fly? (if they had the desire to fly at this stage)

* Did they plan on military service, or were they pressured/encouraged to join by someone they trusted and respected?

* Who were their friends at this stage, and how was their circle of friends changing? (Did some friends drop off and out of their lives? Did some become enemies or at least people that your character wouldn't want to associate with? Did others become even closer, perhaps a lover?)

* When your character made the choice to join the military did they want the air force right away, or did they find themselves leaning in that direction because of a discovered talent or aptitude that was never used before but now cultivating itself in a rapid manner?

* Did their family support or oppose their choice of military?

* If their family supported it, who were the most supportive and who were just kind of "yeah, go for it if that's what you want"?

* When they joined, were they well received by their peers and superiors or were they looked down upon?

* If your character was well received, who was the most supportive and became their closest friends and comrades in Basic Training, flight school, and such?

* When they finally made it to graduation (which is how the RP will start), how proud were they of what they accomplished?

Really like the sheet, man.

Just one question though ... Do we get to pick our callsigns or are they assigned? If we can, can I write them in the style presented in Zero:

First Name "Callsign" Last Name?

Oh yeah ... and planes I desire since they're on a first come/first serve basis. The SU 37 Terminator is <3 and as a super plane ... maybe the CFA-44 Nosferatu. But I don't see myself using it. I never used super planes when I played Ace Combat to begin with.

You do get to pick your own callsign, and if you'd like to write them in the style Zero presents then that's fine with me.

As for the Super Planes. They're optional anyway so if you'd rather stick with your normal plane you're more than welcome to. Since this is an RP based in a more realistic setting without stats or anything, a plane is a plane and the skill of the pilot really makes the plane "super" or not. The CFA-44 is already taken by my second (and true primary) character, so I can't let you have that one. But if you would still like a Super Plane you're welcome to pick anything else.

@too much idea, your character can get ahold of an Su-47 later in the RP for sure. We all have to start with a certain selection of more "basic" planes according to the games basic stats, but over time we'll get better and better aircraft.

@Kyero That's completely alright. I was aiming more for the Terminator as my end all be all plane and maybe the f/18 as just as a regular multirole for everything else. I wasn't too interested in a super plane ... but I guess maybe the XFA-27.

But if we don't need them I just won't and stick with the good old SU-37 as my highest.

Oh yeah, what are the starter planes since the tab isn't up yet? I assume the F4 Wild Weasel, F5E Tiger II, F16 Falcon, MIG 21, and the Draken are on there?

The F-16C, F-4E Phantom II, F-5E, MiG-21 Fishbed are on the list of starter planes.

I just looked up the Draken, not being entirely familiar with it since I usually focus on my favorite planes from the franchise, and have no problems adding it to the list given the stats presented in Ace Combat Zero's plane guide.

Oh yeah. Those were just the starter planes I remember being offered from Zero and I think 5 (after the F5E sequences).

Indeed.

Well it's there, so you can choose any of them to start with.

Hopefully the other pages will be added in soon and I can supply the rest of the info everyone needs to get started.

I will take a look at profiles soon, but for now I wanted everyone to know that the other pages are up and will soon be filled in! Most of them are now, so please check them out when you can!

@Kyero Mine is up unless changes need to be made.
Everything is good except for one tiny detail......... Alto is a female voice type. Lol.

The lowest voice type for men is a bass voice (think James Earl Jones). The middle voice is baritone (think Chris Pratt). And tenor is the higher voice register for men (think Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker).

So you might want to change his voice type to one that suits a man.

I dunno. I thought alto was the highest range. I'm no singer so. S'all good.

Haha. I am a singer, guitarist, composer, and recording arts major in college about to graduate with my B.A. so I'd recommend you take my word for it. Lol

Not me unfortunately. Not a drop of musical talent whatsoever sadly. But hey, you learn something new everyday. Thanks for the correction.

Not a problem.

Technically there are male altos and sopranos, but they're mainly in children's choirs because their voices can actually reach the register. When you have a voice like Michael Jackson's, who was still able to reach upper ranges like a soprano into his later years, it's possible to do but very difficult unless your voice has the right range. The more testosterone you have in your body, the deeper your voice is.

I think I got alto and tenor mixed up is what I did ... which I probably shouldn't have done because I played the saxophone before.

Haha. It's all good.

Completely stoked for this rp actually. I hope the others get their sheets up soon. :P

Before I write up my sheet I got a question about the planes listed. Is it strictly only the variants listed or can you use other variants of the ones listed. For example you have the McDonnell Douglas Phantom II as a starter plane, the F-4E variant. Now can we only use the standard F-4E or can we use its foreign sub variants like the F-4EJ, F-4E 2020, F-4E Kurnass 2000, etc etc?

So long as the base model is the same, you're free to use a variant if you'd like. Just be sure to always let me know of such a choice before you suddenly throw the plane into the RP. I created the list based off of the planes I'm familiar with in the games, and have to admit that I'm not much of a plane buff in real life. So as long as you let me know there's a particular variant of the model I've provided that you want and that it's basically the same plane with a different name (and maybe different paint job) then I won't have a problem with your choice.

Some variants have are a bit more then just a name/paint difference. Like the Kurnass 2000 is a bit more modernized version of the F-4E (as the F-4E was retired in the 90s) so it's a bit more upgraded. I'll just stick with what you have in the list for now then. Also one last question while on things like the F-4E. A few of the planes on that list have a 2-man crew, so what would we do in cases of needing a copilot?

In cases like those you're free to do one of two things: First is to create an NPC to serve as your co-pilot. How important this NPC becomes as a character in your character's life is up to you. Another option is to ask another player if they'd be willing to have their character serve as the co-pilot (though I'm pretty sure most of them will want their own planes).

Awesome. I was wondering this myself.

I'll probably be rewriting a couple sections of that tonight if I get time. Maybe tomorrow if I don't.
