Chiko blushed as her breath tickled his ear, and looked at her a bit surprised before he hid his red face behind the book, pretending to read it very slowly and concentrated, when he was not concentrating at all. "T- There's one b- behind the school..." Chiko muttered, pretending to read again, as he looked at Cycilia in the corner of his eye, but looking more into the book than at her.

"Hey, your face is really red. Are you coming down with something?" she asked worriedly feeling his forehead. "You temperature seems fine. Do you feel sick?" she asked as if she was a doctor herself.

"I- I'm fine!" Chiko insisted as he stood up, avoiding eye contact with Cycilia and looked at one of the bookshelves. "I- I'm going to go a- and find a new book. I'm finished with this one," Chiko said as he quickly retreated into the cooking books section, pretending he was looking at the books.

"Huh, I wonder if it was something I said." Jade whispered to herself. She got up while he was gone and went to the comics section and started flipping through superhero comics. Looking around nervously she thought, I hope no one sees me.

Chiko looked back as his face returned to normal to see Cycilia nit there. A little bit confused he looked around as he caught her scent and followed it to the comic section, watching her flipping through it. "I didn't know she liked comics..." Chiko muttered to himself chuckling a bit as Cycilia didn't seem to be the kind to be into comics in the first place.

When Cycilia heard footsteps behind her she turned around. Chiko was watching her. Her face went red and she grinned sheepishly. "Uh, they just looked sorta interesting to look at. Books made of pictures." she sighed. "I've been trying to keep my 'comic geek' obsession hidden for a few years now. I've never gotten caught before." she said in a low voice.

Chiko picked up her low voice as his ears popped up to pick up her words clearly, smirking a little bit as he found it a little bit cute how she was a comic nerd. He walked over to her as he was seemingly already caught, as he quickly made his ears disappear, blending in with normal humans once again. "So... Marvel or DC?" He asked standing beside her looking at the different comics. He had stolen a comic book once, it was apparently worth a lot, but he only stole it and got his payment for it. Who knows what the person who requested his service did with it after that?

"Both. I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Even if it means.........well never mind." she said quickly. "Anyways we should get back to work on our project. Coming?" she said. Before letting him answer she grabbed his hand and dragged him back to their desk.

And I thought I escaped... Chiko thought to himself as he found himself being dragged back at the desk, it wasn't as if he wasn't already working on the project he just found it boring. Everything school related was boring, it was better in the night when he could 'borrow' a few things from a nearby jewelry store, or just a friendly neighbor house. Of course, only after getting a request. He sighed as he found himself in front of the book again, and began reading. It was to have a good first impression on her, there was no reason not to leave off a good first impression.

Cycilia noticed how bored Chiko was and got lost in thought. Maybe I should ask him if he wants to sneak out. I did that a lot back at my other school. Nah, he's probably not that kind of guy. she thought to herself trying to decide whether to ask him or not.

"Hey..." Chiko asked to break the awkward silence in between them, as he was definitely not going to read anymore. Bad impression or good impression, he simply would have to deal with the teacher later. "There's a comic store not far from here, want to go?" Chiko invited her as he put away the book he was pretending to read as he was not reading more, he he had already read more than he had the last two years. That had to count for something.

Cycilia's eyes brightened up. "Sure that sounds fun. Let's get out of here." she said standing up fast leaving her books where they were.
