(You dudes can freeroam for now, I'm not gonna take control of the environment until we all get in city hall, if that happens.)
By the time the sun was directly overhead (it's noon even now), Nikolai, Emilia and their family was outside and stuffing various colorful bags and fabric suitcases into the family minivan. It was stacked to the roof, and they went back in multiple times just to fill in the gaps with miscellaneous items.
The road was beginning to pick up by now, lines of a dozen to a little over twenty vehicles behind every red light. They shut the lights of their small home off, Nikolai rubbed his hair with familiarity and Emilia bit her nails as their grandmother drove off the gravel parking lot.
