From an early age, Melina was always the type to protect a defenseless creature whenever the situation called for it. Before the age of seven, she was already bubbling flies from the springing tongue of a frog with her barriers. She would have strong feelings of indignation when things went wrong which triggered her techniques, even if it was only mother nature running its course. She maintained her indignant feelings into her adulthood but was able to emotionally mature them.

Although protective of innocents, her hardened heart rejects a sweet accommodating engagement. They are merely to be saved from an unjust fate, offering no other comforts. Her uncaring attitude stems from her tense character which has been amplified by her family's malarkey. It's the sole reason for her being driven by refutation and ultimately her choice to forego her family name.

To escape her embittering past, Melina distracts herself with the stringent operations and grueling training of her division border lining a work addiction. Her addictive nature may threaten to rear its ugly head in other detrimental ways. As a counter to this, Melina hobbies herself with the collection of butterfly wings. Her wasps mysteriously seem to know of her fascination with them, as they occasionally bring her the fallen wings of deceased butterflies. Melina preserves them in a booklet to later frame for display. It is her way of forever honoring their distinctive patterns which would otherwise perish and be forgotten.

Lastly, Melina is competitively natured and can't turn down a challenge unless it is outright stupid for her to accept. Meanwhile, her affinity for barriers has necessitated her ability to preemptively execute a strategy in order to sometimes prepare them. Fortunately for her, she has always been unintentionally covert outside of her public recognition. Particularly when she is simply walking near a person who randomly gets spooked due to her quiet entrances. In the least, she uses that introspection as a boosting self-assurance when stealth is called for. Due to her preemptive experience, Melina has become exceptionally efficient at hiding seals for traps and barrier reinforcement. Her persistent efforts, helping her advance at these 'patience demanding' tactics. Her ability to persist further backed by her decision to find her own happiness in spite of her dispirited origin.

Personal History:

Hailing from House Seggrfold as the firstborn child of the Great House's leader, Melina grew accustomed to the great responsibility of eventually carrying on the familial torch. Her controversial father, Daven, initially exalted her into becoming the future heir of the house ever since she was young and it was melded into her identity. For a time, the relationship with her parents was admittedly ideal. She received plenty of attention and careful consideration, especially from her father.

Daven raised Melina like a special stone that he would polish into a shining jewel, which brought with it the seemingly loving perks. Unbeknownst to her, his agenda for her to be heir was the sole reasoning. They spent much time in the family's library where they shared countless tales and endearing accounts. She was the center of his world, until it all would suddenly end like a dream.

It was around the birth of her newborn brother, that a seer planted a seed into her father's head regarding an age-old prophecy. It initiated a shift in her father's behavior, one that would forever be branded into her memory. Her father's attention toward her seemed to completely die. And soon, her little brother was professed to be the new heir of their family's legacy… a prophetic god sent that would end the curse on the Seggrfold name.

Melina was thrown into a shock, more so upon learning the reason as to why her father's attention faded from her. More so unhappy than even her, was her mother who would not stand for her father's choice to throw away the preparations they had made for Melina. Her mother demanded that he reconsider his life altering change of heart.

Her father, however, was unyielding and was wholly convinced that his newborn son was destined to be a king. The adjustment into accepting her husband's new standpoint based on a perceived legend, was intolerable. The wedge formed between her parents sent Melina over the edge. She could no longer remain in a hostile home after bearing it for as long as she could.

Voluntarily exiling herself near the edge of thirteen, Melina fled her homeland to enlist into the armed forces. It was there that she learned to highlight her natural talent for barriers that she would later specialize in. Upon seeing her eccentric combat style, a higher in command provided her the recommendation of placing into a more specialized unit. Melina raised up a sword and from then on, signed her life over to Konoha to rigorously serve them under any circumstance.

In the years prior to her decision to leave home, Melina did stay for a period to help raise her baby brother who eventually grew into a smug, belligerent hellion thanks to their father. It was triggering for her to see the love stolen away from her to be poured onto a child that felt he was somehow greater than even the family. She grew to a point where she could not even look her father in the eyes when they'd cross paths… not that he'd even notice or care.

To distract herself, she heavily utilized the newfound knowledge of an inherited talent that skipped a generation in her family. Her aunt Ishari revealed to her that she possessed an innate ability to harness insects, particularly with those that she would share her chakra. Explaining much.

From as early as she can remember, Melina had always been accompanied by a plethora of flying insects from vivacious butterflies to the more aggressive kind. Although, to her, all kinds remained neutral to her. Anytime she'd step outside, a flurry of them was sure to hover near her. Melina never really minded at all though, as she'd grown used to them and enjoyed their curious company. She never really understood the peculiar formations they'd display for her based upon her certain actions. It had been her novice chakra level in the beginning that prevented her from seeing its potential. Fastforward to the present, Melina uses her preference for the feisty wasps as one of her greatest assets.

Living Nightmare Technique
a small opening in a barrier forms to allow a swarm of nightmare wasps to be unleashed inside a construct. Fire and smoke are the only chances one has to survive their hellish fury, but even that risks the chance of suffocating on one's own fumes within the confinement. High chakra expense with wasp clones, so unable to keep up for an extensive period. Once a day usage. C+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Any range.

A Thousand Angry Wasps Technique
using her own chakra, Melina is able to clone her wasps by tenfold to form a massive swarm. She is unable to engage this technique if enough of her chakra has already been expended. The clones are perishable after an extended amount of time. B+ Ninjutsu. Long range. Smoke vulnerability.

Blockade of Stingers
A nightmare swarm forms into a living barrier or wall that surrounds or guards the user or a specified target. C+ Ninjutsu. One hand. All ranges.

Form-shifting Barriers Technique
Using her chakra, she is able to generate a variety of barriers for different uses. The spatial constructs can shift from transparent or opaque and can be expanded or reduced in size. The barriers can also be infused with chakra natures for elemental barriers or enhanced with sealing tags.

Concentrated barrier armor can be chakra infused. Her natures can be implemented into her shields.

Each barrier can be destroyed with enough force and are within her range at approximately 200 meters/650 feet.

Concentrated Barrier
a chakra barrier is concentrated around the smallest of dimensions and can even be fashioned into armor for surrounding allies. The armor only lasts for a limited amount of time unless maintained with chakra expense. C+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Mid-range. Space-time vulnerability.

Projected Barrier Technique
propels a chakra barrier into a desired location for blocking incoming attacks from any direction and for barrier mobilization. The projected shield can be shattered with enough damage, and can take time to regenerate. C+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Mid-range.

Safe House Technique
constructs a soundproof and sightless chamber where private conversations are kept private with metamaterial cloaking. The user must maintain their stance to keep the shield activated. This technique is unable to be mobilized while in effect. C+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Short-range.

Explosive Confinement
the walls of a chakra barrier detonate around a target. The spatial construct lights up giving a warning before exploding. In the period that the barrier lights up, the walls become intangible which allows the chance to flee if fast enough. B+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Short-range.

Closing Walls Technique
the walls of a barrier close in around a target. The closing process is fairly slow which gives enough time for a victim to break out if able. This technique is not only used for combat, but also as an effective tactic for interrogation. D+ Barrier Ninjutsu. Mid-range.

Weaving Wasp Needles
These dark, chiseled throwing needles are intertwined by chakra threads. If both needles fly around the same target, they spin a thread that can bind and restrain it. In addition, the needles can be used as a set of weaver's tools. They can mend a simple tear or craft a simple garment given the proper materials.

Accepting this bc overall this is a good CS and otherwise this is a small nitpick: I bolded a small section of her personal history; I think it might be good to make it clearer that she fought as an enlisted soldier for a longer amount of time, since she did this for about four years and could only have been in Konoha for 1. Maybe the higher-up in command who pulled her into the specialized unit was like a Senju, Sarutobi, etc.--basically any clan that is now part of Konoha that would connect her to the village.

Like I said this is a small, small nitpick, so the CS is accepted anyway lmao.

Deep within the mystical realm of the legendary Crimson Forest, where ancient trees bore leaves of deep red hues and the air was perpetually tinged with an otherworldly glow, lived a band of extraordinary creatures known as the Crimson Five. Each member of this secretive group bore crimson coloring in their fur, feathers, skin, or scales, symbolizing their deep connection to the magical forest.

These were no ordinary animals; each member possessed an extraordinary blend of power, agility, and intelligence. They could shape-shift into human forms, enabling them to move among humans undetected and carry out covert operations with unmatched finesse.

The Crimson Five shared a unique bond, allowing them to see through each other's eyes. This ability to share the same vision from different perspectives made them an unstoppable force, able to anticipate and counter any threat with unparalleled precision.

Long ago, the Crimson Forest was a place of pure magic, where the trees whispered secrets and the rivers sang lullabies. It was said that the forest was protected by an ancient spirit, who bestowed elemental powers upon five chosen animals. These animals became the Crimson Five, guardians of the forest and protectors of its magic.

According to legend, the Crimson Forest was once home to a group of powerful Shinobi who defied an ancient curse. As punishment, they were sealed away into the forms of animals, forever losing their human identities.

Over time, they adapted to their new lives, mastering their elemental abilities and forming a single consciousness that allowed them to work in perfect harmony. The Crimson Forest became their sanctuary, a place where they could protect their home and continue their legacy.

One fateful night, the forest was threatened by an invading army seeking to exploit its magic. The Crimson Five, with their unique abilities and shared vision, fought bravely to defend their home. Their efforts caught the attention of the nearby ninja village, whose inhabitants joined forces with the Crimson Five to drive out the invaders.

In gratitude for their protection, the Crimson Five forged a pact with the ninja village. They would aid the village in times of need, using their powers and shape-shifting abilities to defend against any threats. In return, the villagers promised to protect the Crimson Forest and its magical essence.

To this day, the legend of the Crimson Five lives on, whispered among the trees and carried by the winds. The forest remains a place of wonder and mystery, its guardians ever watchful, ready to defend their home and its magic.

Appearance: Moichi’s fur is a vibrant crimson, glowing with an inner fire. His eyes are a bright turquoise contrasting his fierce and untamed spirit.

Abilities: Moichi can conjure and control fire, creating fireballs and summoning firestorms. He has the unique ability to withstand extreme heat and walk through flames unscathed. He uses his fiery tail as a whip in combat, leaving a trail of embers in his wake.

Personality: Moichi is energetic, passionate, and fiercely loyal. He has a playful and adventurous spirit, always ready to dive into action. Moichi is impulsive and sometimes rash, but his heart is always in the right place. His determination and courage inspire the rest of the team. He's a natural leader who often takes charge in battle, using his agility and pyrokinesis to overwhelm opponents.

Backstory: Once a prodigious warrior from the Land of Fire, Moichi was known for his explosive temper and fiery techniques. His defiance against a powerful Shinobi brought the curse upon him, sealing him into a crimson monkey. Adapting to his new form, Moichi embraced the flames within him, becoming the Rogue Assassin of the Crimson Five. Despite his transformation, his fiery spirit burns brighter than ever.

Scorching Naginata:
The user summons a polearm with a flaming blade, capable of both slashing and thrusting attacks. The naginata can create fiery shockwaves with each swing, providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. (C)

Blazing Chakram: The user summons a set of flaming chakrams (circular throwing weapons) that can be thrown with precision. These chakrams return to the user after hitting their target, creating a boomerang effect. (D)

Ember Surge: Moichi can release a surge of embers that can control and manipulate the battlefield, creating barriers and traps. (D)

Solar Flare: Moichi can absorb sunlight and convert it into powerful solar flares, blinding and scorching his enemies. (C)

Phoenix Rebirth: In dire situations, Moichi can transform into a fiery phoenix, regenerating his strength and unleashing devastating attacks. (C)

Inferno Chain:
The user summons a chain with fiery links that can be used for both offensive and defensive maneuvers, such as binding enemies or creating a burning barrier. (C)

Pyro Shield:
The user summons a shield made of fire, capable of blocking attacks and creating a barrier of flames. The shield can also be used to bash enemies, causing them to catch fire upon impact. (D)

Flame Whip:

Abilities: Nari can generate and harness lightning, striking with the speed and precision of a thunderbolt. They have the unique ability to move at lightning-fast speeds, making them nearly impossible to catch. Their lightning reflexes and sharp claws make them a formidable opponent in close combat.

Personality: Nari is quick-witted, agile, and a bit of a trickster. The have a sharp mind and a sly sense of humor, often using their speed and intelligence to outsmart opponents. Nari is fiercely independent but deeply loyal to their friends. Their mischievous nature adds a touch of unpredictability to the group. They love to surprise their opponents with sudden bursts of speed and lightning attacks, often striking before they can react.

These were no ordinary animals; each member possessed an extraordinary blend of power, agility, and intelligence. They could shape-shift into human forms, enabling them to move among humans undetected and carry out covert operations with unmatched finesse.

The Crimson Five shared a unique bond, allowing them to see through each other's eyes. This ability to share the same vision from different perspectives made them an unstoppable force, able to anticipate and counter any threat with unparalleled precision.

Long ago, the Crimson Forest was a place of pure magic, where the trees whispered secrets and the rivers sang lullabies. It was said that the forest was protected by an ancient spirit, who bestowed elemental powers upon five chosen animals. These animals became the Crimson Five, guardians of the forest and protectors of its magic.

According to legend, the Crimson Forest was once home to a group of powerful Shinobi who defied an ancient curse. As punishment, they were sealed away into the forms of animals, forever losing their human identities.

Over time, they adapted to their new lives, mastering their elemental abilities and forming a single consciousness that allowed them to work in perfect harmony. The Crimson Forest became their sanctuary, a place where they could protect their home and continue their legacy.

One fateful night, the forest was threatened by an invading army seeking to exploit its magic. The Crimson Five, with their unique abilities and shared vision, fought bravely to defend their home. Their efforts caught the attention of the nearby ninja village, whose inhabitants joined forces with the Crimson Five to drive out the invaders.

In gratitude for their protection, the Crimson Five forged a pact with the ninja village. Abilities: Moichi can conjure and control fire, creating fireballs and summoning firestorms. He has the unique ability to withstand extreme heat and walk through flames unscathed. He uses his fiery tail as a whip in combat, leaving a trail of embers in his wake.

Personality: Moichi is energetic, passionate, and fiercely loyal. He has a playful and adventurous spirit, always ready to dive into action. Moichi is impulsive and sometimes rash, but his heart is always in the right place. His determination and courage inspire the rest of the team. He's a natural leader who often takes charge in battle, using his agility and pyrokinesis to overwhelm opponents.

Backstory: Once a prodigious warrior from the Land of Fire, Moichi was known for his explosive temper and fiery techniques. His defiance against a powerful Shinobi brought the curse upon him, sealing him into a crimson monkey. Adapting to his new form, Moichi embraced the flames within him, becoming the Rogue Assassin of the Crimson Five. Despite his transformation, his fiery spirit burns brighter than ever.

Early Life and Abandonment
Shibara was born in a small, secluded village nestled deep within an ancient forest. Her parents were skilled ninjas who dedicated their lives to protecting their village and preserving the secrets of their unique bloodline. When Shibara was just a baby, her mother died under mysterious circumstances, leaving her father to care for her alone.

Struggling with grief and the responsibilities of parenthood, Shibara’s father eventually abandoned her in the forest, hoping she would somehow survive. Alone and vulnerable, Shibara was left with nowhere to go and no knowledge of her heritage.

Survival in the Forest
Shibara wandered the forest, barely surviving on what little food she could find. One day, as she was scavenging for berries, she encountered a friendly crimson lizard that seemed to watch over her. This lizard was no ordinary creature—it was a mystical being with the ability to use earth ninjutsu and take on a human form.

Encounter with the Crimson Lizard
The crimson lizard, named Enrin, transformed into her human form and introduced herself to Shibara. Realizing her dire situation, Enrin took her under her wing, becoming her guardian and mentor. She taught Shibara the ways of survival in the forest, as well as basic ninjutsu techniques.

Discovery of Her Powers
One day, while exploring the forest with Enrin, Shibara stumbled upon an ancient, hidden garden filled with exotic and dangerous plants. As she wandered through the garden, she felt a strange connection to the flora around her. Unbeknownst to her, Shibara’s presence awakened the latent abilities within her, causing the plants to respond to her emotions and thoughts.

Curious and fascinated, Shibara began to experiment with her newfound powers. She discovered that she could animate preexisting plants, transforming them into man-eating machines and hostile weapons. With practice and determination, Shibara honed her abilities, learning to control the plants with precision and finesse.

Training and Growth

Under Enrin’s guidance, Akari trained tirelessly to master her unique ninjutsu. She learned to summon various carnivorous plants, each with its own deadly attack, and to use them strategically in battle. Her ability to animate plants made her a formidable opponent, capable of turning the environment itself into a lethal weapon.

Despite the challenges she faced, Shibara remained focused on her goals. She sought to uncover the truth about her mother's death, her father's abandonment, and the origins of her bloodline. A Change of Path
One fateful day, while on a mission to gather information about her past, Shibara encountered a group of rogue ninjas attacking the Leaf Village (Konohagakure) convoy. Realizing that the Hidden Leaf Village was unaware of the impending danger, Shibara used her unique abilities to fend off the attackers and save the convoy.

Impressed by her bravery and skill, the Hidden Leaf Village ninjas invited Shibara to visit their village and meet with their leaders. During her stay, Shibara formed bonds with the villagers and admired their sense of unity and purpose. She felt a strong connection to the Hidden Leaf Village and saw an opportunity to learn and grow among its skilled ninjas.

Decision to Join the Leaf Village:

After careful consideration and with Enrin’s encouragement, Shibara made the decision to join Konohagakure. She saw it as a chance to further her training, uncover more about her bloodline, and find a sense of belonging. The leaders of Konoha welcomed Shibara with open arms, recognizing the potential of her unique abilities and the value she could bring to their community.
Shibara’s personality is a complex blend of resilience and sensitivity, shaped by her tumultuous upbringing and the challenges she has faced. Despite the abandonment by her father and the hardships of surviving alone in the forest, Shibara has developed a strong sense of determination and independence. Physical Description: During his youth he was well regarded for his physical fitness, strength and speed/agility. A clean shaven and crystal blue eyed young Shinobi from the diminishing in number Mutō clan. Now days, while not as tall as he once was Hajime remains in surprisingly strong and physical shape for his age, still spry and agile enough to not only keep up with those younger then himself, but capable of beating a few should feel the desire to give such effort. Rarely clean shaven these days, he retains a long head of silvery white hair similar to his youth align with a full length beard to match while his eyes remain ever present like a crystal clear lake under the moonlight and stars.
Personality: Hajime was always one to enjoy himself and entertain his whims. Going as far as exploring a jutsu to create simply for his own future pleasure and amusement at the expense of others. But Don't let his tom foolery and humorous if at times eccentric behavior fool you, he's a battle hardened and wise individual with enough smarts to get by even the brightest and wittiest of foes. He's quite patient in battle and in life, never rushing when unnecessary and conserving his strength and energy for when it's need is greatest. Turtle and the hare after all ..... While fully committed to a life of serving his clan no matter how few they may be now, or this new idea of a village of United clans and Shinobi in this land of fire.
Personal History: All things considered Hajime has lived a long and full life for a ever active shinobi in a period dominated by warring clans and filled with death at every turn. He's seen much during this time, experienced perhaps just as much if not more himself. The Mutō were a well regarded and strong clan with great number, warriors, the lot fo them. Almost literally given their steel Release Kekkei Genkai, a bloodline trait that's since scattered to the seven winds as the Mutō would say, fighting and exploring, hiring themselves out for gold and riches. While others remained in the lands of fire to ensure their success and future together, seeking greater in number to preserve and ever persevere in this warring states period.

Hajime himself was well regarded during his time. Not legend of course, he wasn't an Uchiha or Senju of note or the sage of six paths hismelf, no, but still for what it's worth he was still well regarded and respectfully accomplished over the his years as a Shinobi. Famously among the Mutō to have survived the great purge of decades ago when multiple clans aimed to annihilate the Mutō and end their hold over multiple encampments. A stalemate was fought and hard won that day for the Mutō. Yet at great cost as their number greatly diminished in the lands of fire with others scattered across the seven winds seeking personal glory and riches elsewhere.

Hajime came out of that purge rather bitter and strong of grudge against those clans. Believing it was all unnecessary as even the Mutō in a era of constant wars and being warriors of a clan amongst them all, were not so that a purge was needed. A United front for one clan..... A grudge indeed was held for many years and has yet to be forgotten as so many of his kin died, simply defending themselves and fighting to live for tomorrow while caught off guard by such a odd and uncommon during such a time alliance of clans. If not for that day, who knows what could of been for the Mutō, especially now as a village has since formed and alliances met.... Secured.... But at what cost and for how long before time turns ugly once more? He'd often question.

Despite his skill, strength and years upon years of experience while still more then capable even to this day. Hajime Mutō respectfully refused to accept a higher rank, even while a Jonin seemed intriguing and something for certain... He chose to accept and remain a Chunin. A lower rank and fit his interests at this time of life and humorous joy when his age and rank would fool others into underestimating him. How many would know of Hajime the Wanderer, man of many battles and famed survival of the great purge. Plenty of individual accolades of battles against various foes. But those knowledgeable of him and his clan understand the history, perhaps would anyhow, perhaps understand the great purge and what it took to simply survive much less force a stalemate after many days of fighting when outnumbered as they were.

Hajime Mutō the Wanderer, gatherer of the seven winds and eldest living member of his clan. A man who's since been able to guide his clan to this day and their survival as clan head, reluctant mind you, but still he was the head and eldest clan member alive. Once recalling a number of lost and wandering Mutō's scattered across the seven winds to return home and once more serve the clan when they would be most needed. Even his own heirs remain ready and one day shall succeed in his footsteps.

Start with 4 Ranks no matter the character, just so we have a baseline; Chunins+ will have more stats to add to their sheets, but we’ll work that out together once there’s a baseline.

Skill ranks are scaled to characters of similar rank. A genin with S in ninjutsu does not outclass a jonin with B rank ninjutsu, but might be better at ninjutsu than a jonin with C rank.

Summoning as a skill on our character sheet is only related to animal-based summons, or an inordinate amount of weapons; summoning scrolls to summon more, or sometimes specialized, weapons, is not part of that skill; these things are just considered basic shinobi tools and open for anyone to use. Sealing weapons into these scrolls is a different story, as that still remains part of the Sealing skill.)
