Ninja Academy Room 503 - Graduation Hall
It was early in the morning. Several children from the Ninja Academy were taking their seats. Some were still half asleep, while others had been up for hours prior. As the last; at least, hopefully, the last academy student took their seat, a woman with long white hair and a black eye patch over her left eye stepped in and stepped up to the podium. The students in this room would easily recognize this to be Shizuka, Head Shinobi of the Amegakure Academy.

"Congratulations, young Shinobi, on graduating from the Amegakure Ninja Academy," Shizuka spoke in front of this year's new batch of graduating Shinobi. "Starting today, you will be assigned in groups of three to an instructor whom will be responsible for you for the next two years. When I call your name, I want you to stand up and head to the room number I indicate."

Taking a moment to look around, Shizuka took mental note of those whom seemed strong, and those whom seemed week. Nearly every person her right eye made eye contact with was brought to a near-fearful state, immediately sitting up straight, folding their hands on their desk; with all their being trying to appeal to the woman such as to not make her into an enemy.

"Starting with the top floor..."

Immediately after the top floor had been said, whispers began to spread throughout the whole room.

"They're doing the top floor graduates first?"

"Who do you think made it to top-floor?"

"Definitely Ren. He's gotta be the best one here."

"What about Saru? Y'know, Saru Hanekawa? There's no way she isn't one of this year's top-floor."

"The Shinobi going to room 903, making them our top-floor graduates this year, are Saru Hanekawa, Rin Kazuma, Ren Kouen, Rengetsu Hozuki, Yume Kinawa, and Zi Kenoybi" When their names were called, the whole room went silent. It was as though someone had pressed the pause button on reality. During this time, the six named students stood up and headed out of the room, clearly headed for the top floor of the academy.

"Due to the number of Shinobi headed to room 903, there will be no students headed to room 803."

"Room 703, Satou Hirasaki, Hana Tenro, and Tomoe Amagiri."

"Room 503, Kanra Yuki, Saionji Shiin, and Ami Teruya."

"Room 403, Kogetsu Hozuki, Yuna Shimura, and Hatomi."

"Room 303, Misaki Kodon, Eiji Rinha, and Sae Kohaku."

"Additionally, there will be no room 203 graduates. That's because..."

Shizuka paused for a moment, giving a disinterested glare at the six students that remained in the room.

"Kira Fuma, Jin Uzumaki, Hina Kouen, Park Tsung, Kiro Yoriie, and Hiro Shinku. The six of you managed to land yourself into room 103. Try not to cause too much trouble for the instructors," Shizuka said as she walked out of the room, heading to the stairway and up to her office on the top floor of the academy.

Rengetsu sat closest to the window at the back end of the classroom, his gaze fixated on the condensation that had built up along the exterior of the glass panel, its watery veil obscuring the rays of the slowly rising sun. Unlike many other students in the room, Rengetsu was hardly affected by the early morning hours; the young green haired boy already accustomed to being wide eyed and active at such an ungodly time. Most of the other students however were not so lucky, many of them suffering a fit of yawns or battling against the desire to close their eyes or rest their heads along the wooden desk tops. A handful of those that managed to 'hide' their tiredness had tried to do so with idle chatter, the obvious topic being the main reason they were here so early.

Today was a special day for the students of Amegakure Academy, the day in which their futures as ninja of the village hidden in the rain would be kick started into action; the day where the new blossoming Genins would be assigned to a team and an instructor who would either make or break them as Shinobi. Rengetsu yawned, not out of tiredness but out of boredom. It wasn't like many of his classmates wanted to approach him, not even Kogetsu who like him was apparently a member of the Hozuki clan came close, the opposing boy deep in conversation with Eiji. Rengetsu averted his gaze away from the bul kload of students and towards the door instead, watching as the last few trickles of students had only just managed to make it into the room; just about on time as the head shinobi of the academy made her way in only a few short moments after; Shizuka Sensei as the students called her had made her way to the central podium, her gaze wafting over the group of children gathered here.

Nearly all the students who had earlier struggled to hide their tiredness or were caught up in their conversations had now been silenced, their bodies simultaneously shifting in almost perfect unison as they sat with perfect posture, their attention solely drawn towards their teacher. Rengetsu like pretty much everyone had felt the mood in the room change, the serious and almost terrifying aura Shizuka sensei exuded causing his spine to tingle; as if he were a deer in her headlights, however unlike the majority Rengetsu did not allow her presence to dictate his own actions, simply retaining the same position he had earlier taken, one arm placed across the table and his other supporting his head. It was time.

"Congratulations, young Shinobi, on graduating from the Amegakure Ninja Academy, Starting today, you will be assigned in groups of three to an instructor whom will be responsible for you for the next two years. When I call your name, I want you to stand up and head to the room number I indicate ... Starting with the top floor..."

The once silent room erupted with whispers as several of the students began to mutter to each other; of course it was to be expected since the Head Shinobi was basically stating who the most promising shinobi out of their lot were. Being called now was a statement, a statement to the fellow genin in the room to show them exactly who were the students the academy had the highest of hopes for. It was also a challenge, a challenge for those whose names were not called out for the top floor to strive for, to overcome. It was a goal for the others to reach for. As the whispers reached their peak, Rengetsu was able to hear a few names being mentioned amongst the class, Ren and Saru being the most predominant names to be mentioned, Rengetsu's eyes fell upon the pair of them to see if there were any visibile reactions on their expressions, surely they would also have heard the rest of the students muttering their names.

"The Shinobi going to room 903, making them our top-floor graduates this year, are Saru Hanekawa, Rin Kazuma, Ren Kouen, Rengetsu Hozuki, Yume Kinawa, and Zi Kenoybi"

The room went silent, aside from the sound of the six chairs sliding backwards against the wooden floor as the students whose names were called got to their feet. As many had predicted, Ren Kouen and Saru Hanekawa were called for the top floor, that was not the surprising part. Tt was the fact that a few of the names called had not even gone through the minds of the class, the other students not even considering them as it was assumed only three students would have been chosen, not the six who had been called.

Rengetsu's eyed shot open as he heard his name called out; like many of the others he was pretty confident that two out of three spots would go to Ren and Saru, however he had not expected there to be six, let alone hear his own name called. Right now his heart beat had increased rather drastically, adrenaline beginning to course through his body as it all sunk in for him, though on the exterior he kept his rather neutral deposition, unwilling to show the other students his own surprise at this revelation. Tucking his chair back into the desk, Rengetsu gathered his helmet in his right hand and made his way towards the door, only stopping before the exit and turning to face Shizuka.

"Thank you Sensei" bowed Rengetsu, lowering his head towards his instructors and doing his best to retain his composure; the only hint towards his still surprised and nervous state the few beads of sweat that had formed on his brow.

'Freak.." he heard a voice mutter, a voice whom he had recalled to have belonged to Kogetsu. Rengetsu however ignored the comment, simply gripping his helmet tighter as he straightened up once more and exited the room.

The Tsung Residence to The Tsung Training Facilities

It was early morning before even the sun had risen when Park awoke from his sleep, he often woke up early being the lightest sleeper of his household, however for Park waking up early was just a way for him to use his clans training facility before anyone else from his clan had arrived which for Park was huge since his clan often looked down on him for being a Taijutsu user. Today was a special day for Park and all who want to be Genin for Akegakure as it was Graduation day and somehow Park had managed to graduate even with his very below average Ninjutsu skill and his complete and utter lack of Genjutsu skill.

Dragging himself out of bed getting changed into his usual attire of a white teeshirt, a hoodie that down the sleeves seem to have strange squiggles down the arms and blue jeans along with a band that's placed around the bottom of his hoodie stopping it from flowing freely whenever he moves along with no socks and easy to remove sandals he has a hatred of wearing shoes whenever he fights or trains. After being changed he brushed his teeth and washed his face before grabbing something quick to eat and heading over to the Tsung training facility which consisted of a small grassy area and a large building that was once a warehouse that has been repurposed as an indoor training facility. Heading to the indoor warehouse Park set up some targets and began to solely focus on his 'Three pronged strike' as of lately he had been looking for a way to improve it with his latest and current newest move the 'Falling Petals' being a move created from the concept of the 'Three pronged strike' he wanted to see if anything else could be made from it.

Amegakure [6:45]
The Tsung Training Facilities to the Graduation Hall
Park spent the next two and a half hours in training and other than becoming more efficient in the use his 'Three pronged strike' he had not managed to make any headway on creating a new move, not that he expected too after all two and a half hours isn't that long of a time. Just as he was finishing up a hand touched his shoulder. "It's time." Is all the voice said without even looking at the person Park knew it was his father and without even saying a word Park left the training facility. It took him around fifteen minutes to get to the graduation hall and it seemed he was part of the last group of graduates to arrive at the hall.

As Shizuka Sensei began to talk Park listened intently. However as Shizuka Sensei mentioned that she was going to start with the Top-floor graduates Park began to daze out what she was saying, he didn't expect him to be placed even near to top it wasn't until he heard the quiet whispering of his fellow graduates that quickly followed that he became curious about who was the top-floor graduates. As the names began to read out he once again fazed it out the names called just happened to be who he expected..well with the only surprise being that they were six names instead of three. As more and more names got called out Park face once covered with a smile dropped to a more serious look 'just how badly did I do' was the only thought passing through his mind.

As it finally got to the last two rooms, room 203 and room 103 the smile had fully vanished from his face, he was either last or second to last. Looking around the room he noticed that a very familiar face was also in the same boat that was Hiro Shinku. Park felt bad for her mostly since he had been the one who had pretty much trained her before her academy days if only she had a teacher that really could have taught her Ninjutsu she would have been in a much better situations that what she was in now, heck the whole academy would have been easier for her. Having this thought run through his mind made him completely lose focus on where he was and he ended up missing the next part of Shizuka Sensei's speech but judging how no one else had left the room and most the other had a strange look on their face he could guess that much like the first group the last group would also have six in it.

As Shizuka Sensei finished up her speech his theory of what was said was correct. While the situation was bad and Park had been placed in the lowest class. Park looked at the rest of the graduates in the room before stopping looking at Hiro and placing a light smile on his face, at least he had someone who he got along with in his class. Park decided to stand up and walked over to the door holding it open. "You coming Hiro?" Park asked. He didn't really care about the other not having made friends with them during the academy years mostly due to his winning personality. To say Park was placed in the lowest group he was still excited to see what life as a ninja had to show but more so he was curious about who his sensei would be.

"GET BACK HERE"

"GET BACK HERE KID!"

"YOU FREELOADING PUNK"

"STOP RU--

Yelled the storekeep, words echoeing from far behind the sprinting graduate, cut short by a crash, the banging of pots and pans and more than a few shrieks and shouts.

At the sound of chaos erupting behind him, Kiro stopped on a dime, turning to face his pursuer with a grin, arm extended with a thumb up and a hearty laugh on his breath, enraging the immobilized storekeeper who lay beneath a pile of pots, pans, utensils and ramen toppings.

"Your food is amazing old man!" Kiro exclaimed with a burp, grin widening, patting his protruding stomach with his off hand and exhaling deeply.

"Put it on my tab!" continued the young ninja, earning him various shouts, groans and grunts from the storekeep who began collecting himself off the ground. However by the time the cook stood, Kiro had dashed off into the distance with rabid urgency.

"This isnt good... I'm gonna be late... on my first day!" thought Kiro to himself in an unbecoming panic, increasing his speed to the limit.

Using his considerable agility, Kiro wove his way through the twisted Amegekure skyline at high speed, dipping under pipes and vaulting over rooftops, flashing through alleyways and diving through market stalls he went, causing a ruckus in the wake, before finally arriving at the entrance of the Academy, hair soaking and shoes wet, with only a minute to spare before the declared assembly time.

"What a pain" Kiro thought to himself with a sigh, stepping into the building, heading to the room where his rank among graduates would be revealed.

"I wonder if you get a prize for last place?" He continued internally with a chuckle, entering the classroom as the clock ticked down to the final moment.

6:46 AM, Amegakure
"Hey Jin? Where'd everyone go?" asked Kiro confused, waking from his catnap as the head instructor walked from the room, his name being called jostling him from sleep just moments prior.

"You were sleeping!" replied the fellow graduate.

"I'm gonna wake up if someone says my name so..." trailed Kiro.

"We're floor one?" he probed, mildly amused.

"Yeah, us and those guys over there" explained Jin, pointing to two pairs of two. One consisting of Park and Hiro, the other having Kira and Hina.

"That guy's on bottom floor?" asked Kiro surprised, gesturing to Park with a nod of his head.

"I can't believe it, he's good" mused Jin, confused as well.

"So... Jin... were the squads announced? We on a team?" Continued Kiro.

"I wasn't paying attention... that lady was too scary" replied Jin, his eyes wandering around the room, spaced out from lack of sleep, or perhaps just garden variety stupidity.

"Hopefully I get Jin and Park. Gonna show that taijutsu meathead what skill really is" thought Kiro to himself in the silence

Before the conversation could carry, Kiro lept from his seat, making his way down to the door, passing Park and Hiro on his way out.

Looking back at the group of slackers, bad apples and clowns, Kiro beamed a cocky grin, thinking of how he would create or maintain the edge over them. Floor one or floor nine, he'd be the best of this class, he was sure of it.

"Hustle up bums! Last one to 103 gets bathroom duty all month" said Kiro, tone serious, attempting to hide sarcasm.

Yume Kinawa
Yume was amongst the students who could barely keep their heads up. But aside from the excited chatter from the graduates already there and the entrance to the classroom constantly sliding open, announcing the arrival of more soon-to-be Shinobi, Yume had one more thing keeping her in her half asleep limbo: Takahiro.
The girl's tiger knew today was an important day, and he made sure to keep a vigilant eye on the red haired girl so that she'd be on her best behavior. Whenever she was about to sleep, he'd push her head off the desk or lick her ear, erecting an annoyed growl every time. Soon, Yume gave up on the idea of getting some shut-eye before the sensei arrived, placing her arms on the desk and resting her head on her hands. She gave Takahiro a glare.
Once more, the entrance slid open. All chatter ceased as the strong footsteps sounded down the stairs. Yume shot a side glance at this figure.
Shizuka.

Hazel eyes observed with curiousity as the woman took a spot on the podium and began her speech. The tiger girl heard stories about Shizuka, but she'd never actually seen her before. Judging by the reaction of most of her classmates, they hadn't either.
Figuring she should show some level of respect, Yume sat upright and pressed her back against the back of the chair, but her arms were low and her legs spread open. Takahiro, noticing how the atmosphere of the classroom had changed with the arrival of Shizuka, climbed up Yume's side to assume his habitual place: resting on Yume's shoulder.
As Shizuka was about to announce the top floor graduates, Yume couldn't help but look at Zî. While the classroom whispered between themselves as they guessed who'd been chosen for the top floor, Yume felt Zî deserved to be among them. She knew how hard he had trained, mostly due to peer pressure in his clan.
Yume knew precisely what it felt like.
Shizuka continued her previous statement and Yume was all ears. The exhaustion had long ago dwindled, leaving space for intrigue. And as the Jonin called the names of the students, this space was soon consumed by shock.
Her? Top floor graduate? Never in her life would she have thought of it. Hell, she'd never dream of it in the first place. She shot a look at some of the other students who had been called with wide eyes. Her heart beat against her chest in a way she nevrr knew possible and her face got progressively warmer. It took Yume a moment to leave her place and excuse the classroom, feeling the excrutiating stare of Shizuka and her classmates at the top of her spine. The girl briefly looked at Rengetsu, but he was stone-faced as ever.
The last one to exit the room, Yume took a final glance at everyone still there before sliding the door shut and walking towards the stairs.

The morning started like any other... A young dark haired boy with blue-ish, green eyes dressed and sat with folded legs upon his bed awaiting his father. Once back when these early trainings began the young lad was waken by ice cold water splashing against his skin, startling a sleeping boy as he gasped and awoke shivering. But not anymore as Zî turned from the ill prepared sleeping shinobi to a fully prepped and waiting for his strict, overbearing father who demanded only great things and of course, results. Soon after his father right on time stepped into his sons room and gave a nod with motion from his finger to move and move Zî did.

Unlike other clans the Kenoybi didn't possess their own training grounds or facilities. Instead they made use of the world around them, whether it was a clearing in the forest of trees outside amegakure or a quiet, almost abandoned sector of the rain village full of old buildings and clotheslines. It always changed for according to his father no battle field would be the same as the next. Best to learn the different environments and surroundings as possible before undergoing a mission or taking part in some field test.

however hours would pass him by while Zî completed one training objective after another, hitting his targets, evading the practice assaults and so and so forth. Allowing him just enough time to hit the classroom early as expected of him. 'Early bird gets the worm, huh?' Zî thought of his fathers words and shook his head as headed for the academy. Pondering why a worm and why was he a bird? Why not a bowl of hot, steaming beef ramen with actual cooked beef and broccoli? And why not be a early morn human? Ugh, it was too early to ponder the oddities of such a metaphor.

Reaching the academy steps with a brief look up toward the grey clouds filling the sky, rain pouring down as usual and his thoughts drifting toward the days when he could escape toward a tree offering shade, a clear sky offering sun and white clouds flowing along the blue canvas above. A small way of clearing his mind, relaxing his body and returning his focus to mental game of chess utilizing the clouds and sky themselves as his board and pieces. A calming experience for a young mind who wanted nothing more then a enjoy the peace the time offered him.

"Hmm..... Those were great times." He smiled in thought before climbing the steps and walking toward the classroom. Entering the room taking notice to his surroundings and walking toward his usual seat in the front row on the far left side.

Hours of training in the cold, early morning could be seen on his face. Least the tired after effects it left upon his face, eyes blinking to prevent a wide eyed look while not overly so with the constant blink to exercise his eyes to keep them awake, it was just enough to fend off the weight of his eyelids, just enough to keep alert to the room.

Not long after taking notice to other students entering the room and taking their places. Zî raised his head looking toward the door expecting soon another arrival... the sensei. And soon the arrival would enter in the form of Lady Shizuka, a strong presence with a seemingly fearful gaze from her eye as the other wore a patch further adding to her aura. When she spoke up the young Kenoybi rose to a full and corrected posture in his chair and listened to every word while maintaining a firm but respectful gaze as she spoke and announced the top floor graduates.

"Zî Kenoybi... Hmm father should be pleased or satisfied atleast for now." Zî thought but genuinely smiled when he thought of the other names, giving a look over toward Yume and nodded. "Good. I think she deserves it... after all she goes through it's nice to see her name with the others." He added in thought before rising from his chair and began to walk down the way and gave a slight bow of his head to Lady Shizuka out of respect and ignoring the strain his body was still under after the training. All the while he had casually listened to others speak of their opinions on who'd get top spot, disregarding them in a way and just glad he met expectations this year. He wouldn't of liked to see what his father and clan had in store if he failed them and their expectations.

After bowing his head to lady Shizuka and exiting the room. He gave thought to who'd be placed in his squad whether it was Saru, Rin, Ren, Rengetsu or Yume in one combo or another. Personally his mind deduced if announced by order of squad then he figured it would end being Saru, Rin and Ren for squad A or 1 or however they'd be marked and Yume, himself and Rengetsu for squad B or 2. Though he could be wrong as the announcement order could have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Which brought him to wonder how others perhaps perceived him, he had an idea yet only time would tell and effort to adjust his morning disposition. Meanwhile he made his way up toward room 903, taking his spot in the room by crouching into a kneel, toes and front of his feet pressing against the floor while his heels were raised maintained with balance as the tips of his fingers touched and palms spaced apart with his eyes closed. Entering a quiet state of peace and alertness bringing what once brought him focus and relaxation to his mind via imagination and concentration.

Figuring he would use this time to wake his mind, clear the fog from blocking his clarity of thought and await for the presence of others. If one of the other top graduates spoke to him or their new instructor entered the room he'd be ready to respond, but for the moment he'd clear his head and gather clarity of mind.

Exiting the room, Rengetsu took a left and made his way down the corridor towards the staircase leading to the upper floors of the academy. In front of him, all walking at a rather brisk pace were Ren, Saru, Rin and Zi. Considering the reactions of many of the students inside, it was clear as day that Saru Hanekawa and Ren Kouen were considered to be the strongest students in the academy, considering they were two out of the first three names called as well as the names whispered by the other students when it was revealed that the 'Top floor' students would be called first. If the order was anything to go by then Rin Kazuma, the predominantly dark haired girl whose particular odd choice of hair style; the two horned buns and green/pink highlights would have rounded off the 'top team' and in most cases that would have been it, alas for one reason or another two groups were chosen this year round for the top floor, did that mean the instructors saw both teams as being on par with one another in terms of skill level? Rengetsu doubted that.

Walking in almost single file behind the four of them, Rengetsu momentarily glanced back to see that Yume had now joined them, the last of the six to leave the room; the red haired girl accompanied by her faithful companion 'Takahiro'. For the most part, everyone presently heading towards the top floor had remained rather quiet; simply following the steps to their destination in almost perfect unison; the only real sounds aside from their footsteps originating from behind the doors of the other rooms, potentially belonging to chounin and Jounin presently working within the school.

An almost unbearable silent march to room 903, Rengetsu couldn't help but wonder who his team mates would be, let alone who their instructor was. Considering the 5 others joining him in the top floor, Rengetsu knew that whoever he was assigned with, he'd be partnered with strong and capable team mates however beyond deducing as much from their 'ranks', Rengetsu was still quite oblivious as to what everyone's specialities were. Ren had a large sword adorned on his waist, so clearly he was a close range fighter and perhaps proficient in Kenjutsu, whereas Yume had Takahiro beside her, no doubt they were formidable in their own right. Zi on the other hand seemed to always have scrolls with him, though carrying scrolls around didn't really reveal as much considering the plethora of styles and techniques that utilised such tools. Perhaps he'd have known more about his potential partners had he developed adequate social skills.

Entering behind the four, Rengetsu made his way to the far corner of the room where an empty desk lay untouched and placed his helmet down, turning around and sitting on the edge of the table with his face towards the door.

Hiro Shinku

"I have a demon, one that I'm not sure you'd want to see."

"Rose hidden in the Rain"
Hiro was ecstatic, while the other remaining 5 students who had been lucky enough to placed themselves in 103 may have been sad and disappointed of not having their skills being recognized for a greater calling, she couldn't imagine herself feeling more excited. Sure she was in the lower class . . . But, she'd graduated. She'd done it! It was official! And not only that . . . She'd been situated with her mentor and best (if not only) friend, could this have been any better??? "Park!" she squealed in excitement as she practically exploded from her chair, jumping in the air and crashing into him. "We did it! We actually did it!"

Standing by the door it wasn't long until Hiro reacted in the very same way he expected. Hearing the shout of his name Park firmly planted his feet down getting ready for the attack that was incoming, by attack he meant Hiro throwing her whole body weight into him something she often does in times of excitement. "Of course we did, with my skill and you under my tutelage what did you expect." Park said his tone full of complete and utter arrogance, Park placed his hand on her head and ruffled her hair before walking out the door. "We don't want to be late."

"Okay Park!" Hiro said with a wide smile, doing a quick salute. She could still remember, just a few months back, when he'd been training her. The son of the Tsung Clan, prodigies in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. She found it funny how, while he certainly had the genes to become someone of such stature, he was . . . strangely, unfit to stay in the role. He had no knowledge in Genjutsu, and practically the same thing for Ninjutsu. Although, she had yet to see someone in their class able to beat him in Taijutsu, as far as she knew at least. Although she found it quiet hard to make friends, most people were rather annoyed of her. She saw Park as her best friend, but not only that, she saw him as a teacher, and more so, a rival. She didn't know if he felt the same way, seeing as he was always stating how powerful he was. But, she knew what she wanted. She wanted to beat him in a fight, at least once. To this day she still found it rather hard to beat him. She was fast, but so was he, and he had strength on his side. Not only that, he could take more attacks than she could. Even when she used Ninjutsu, it may have made her chances even worse, seeing as she'd waste energy on an attack that most of the time doesn't even hit. But, one day . . . One day she would. "What do you think our teammate is going to be like? Who do you think it is?"

Park let out a slight laugh at Hiro's reaction she was a unique one to say the least, not many people can put up with Park for too long they often get annoyed at his...arrogant attitude. Park closed his eyes for a quick second thinking of the answer, judging by who was also placed in room 103 the ideal partner for the two would be Kiro Yoriee, he was completely different than the other two personality wise but Park could see easily how his fighting style could complement both Park and Hiro and if Park could see this then chances are the Jonin can. "Taking a wild guess Kiro Yoriee, you know the loud-mouthed rebellious one saying that this is just a guess based on his fighting style and our own." Park answered but he could be completely wrong he didn't fully know.

"Ah, Kiro huh?" Hiro answered, she placed her hands behind her back and skipped after him, keeping that playful manor that seemed so engraved into her bones. She was so childish when it came to things, something she wasn't looking to change anytime soon. She didn't know much about Kiro, as she wasn't even sure she could classify him as an ally. But, she had observed him before. He slacked off, joked around, and seemed just all around lazy . . . But, then again, he never seemed to fall behind. He was always able to keep up with most of everyone in the class, on a physical scale at least. She would say he was naturally gifted, and maybe he was, but sometimes he'd come to school with bruises, cuts and scars. He definitely wasn't a complete slacker. He was a hard worker . . . Even though he didn't show it. "That could be fun! And if you accept him he must be awesome!"

Park nodded his head as Hiro answered, truth be told anyone placed in room 103 would work hell maybe Park and Hiro won't end up being placed together which wouldn't fully surprise Park after all ninja's need to be accustomed to the element of surprise, however, doing such a thing would mean wasting the two's years of training together and the twos synchronisation. Park stopped suddenly as Hiro said that Park accepted him but quickly shook his head and didn't say anything, sure he was strong but his personality was one that even Park found hard to get along with. "Who do you think our partner might be?" Park asked he decided to try and get her insight on the matter.

Hiro shrugged, and gave a laugh. "I dunno, whoever you think it would be. I'm not good at thinking like that. But, if I were to give a guess?" She looked at the students around her, specifically, the one who had been chosen to be her classmates. "It's either someone who compliments us, or brings us down. We aren't in war anymore, no reason to force everyone in their strength group. If the curriculum changed enough they could set up us with our exact opposites, forcing us to work together and grow stronger. But, that could either work amazing . . . Or it could be out utter downfall. But I don't know anything." Hiro had yet to even consider the thought that she and Park could be apart of different teams, it'd never even crossed her mind.

Park nodded his head as the two walked towards room 103 everything she said had logic behind it, logic that Park didn't even think of. Park had only though of the war aspect so he believed that the teams would be only focused on the strengths of one another. "Interesting idea I didn't even think of that." Park said Hiro always had different takes on things than what Park thought would happen. The two finally reached the door to room 103 and Park being the gentleman he was opened the door and stepped to the side allowing Hiro to enter. "Time to see who our Instructor is."

Ninja Academy - Room 903
Sorting the students into their groups and rooms didn't take very long, and so by 7:15, everyone had made it to their assigned rooms. Fifteen minutes later, the door to the room would open once more, as a Shinobi entered the room. The Shinobi was a woman with purplish-black hair tied into a ponytail, and a large red staff in hand. She entered the doorway before stopping and beginning to talk.

"Greetings, new Genin. The name's Seiya. Twenty-nine years old, no clan affiliation. For Saru, Rin, and Ren, I'll be your instructor from here on out. Please follow me to room 901."

As Seiya said their names, Saru, Rin, and Ren all got up and walked over to their new instructor. As Seiya finished with her last statement, Saru spoke up. "If you don't mind me asking, Sensei, why are there six of us here right now? Isn't top floor graduation meant to only ever be three students?"

"Excellent question, if not for the fact that you already know the answer. While I understand your intentions by asking the question, you should just tell everyone else the answer yourself if you want them to know. Otherwise, it's irrelevant."

With their little exchange over, Seiya and Saru, as well as Rin and Ren, all proceeded out of the room, meanwhile another Shinobi entered.

"Ah, greetings..." A man with short black hair and a box full of tools said from the doorway. The man stepped in, walking over to the group of Shinobi and laying the box down in front of them. "I'm Kuroh, 29 years old, from the Fuma Clan. I'll be your teacher for the next... Well, let's be honest here, I've no clue how long I'll be your teacher... Anyway, please pick one scroll case out from inside the box. Simply pull it out and set it down on the table in front of you, nothing more. I'll explain why in a moment."

Inside the box were four black scroll cases. Two of them had a kunai tip like adornment hanging off of the top, while the other two had no adornments whatsoever. Kuroh waited for the students to pick out a scroll case from among them, and nothing more.

Ninja Academy - Room 103
After arriving in room 103, Hina, Jin, and Kira all found themselves to corners of the room away from the door, leaning against the wall and waiting for their instructor to show up. Fifteen minutes later, nobody had shown up, and so Jin spoke up. "So, what's our idiot of an instructor doing, being late?"

"Someone's out of the loop," Kira said in a very amused and teasing tone. "Granted, it's just me and Hina that's in. Right, Hina?"

"Please don't act like we're friends, Kira... You know that we never will be friends..."

The door slid open right after Hina finished talking, a figure with long grey and red hair, as well as a sword at his side, stepping in.

"Enough with the arguing, Hina... I thought I raised you better than to waste your time arguing with your fellow Shinobi."

"Yes, father..." Hina said with a depressed tone as she looked away from him.

"I suppose I don't really need to introduce myself, but for those of you who don't know who I am, I'm Kimito Kouen, Hina and Ren's father. I'm here to make a simple request of the five of you, and then I'll be leaving. Stay out of Hina and Ren's way. The five of you in here are the scum of the academy, nothing more." Kimito proceeded to look over at Kira as he spoke his next part. "If it weren't for scum like you, Hina would've been a top-floor graduate."

With that said and done, Kimito exited the room, followed by the entrance of another man.

"Well... That was interesting..." He said as he walked to the center of the room. "My name's Yoru, and I'll be your instructor... Before we can do anything else though, these are the teams... Team J1, Hina, Jin, and Kira... Team J2, Park, Kiro, and Hiro..."

After waiting a moment for the teams to get together, Yoru noticed a lack of movement from the three whom had found themselves in opposite corners.

"Your first task as newly-graduated students will be training... In specific, the two teams will be fighting one another. We'll be doing one on one matches, with each team deciding who to send out for each match. When you lose, you're out; this means that, after three victories for one team, that team wins. Now, follow me to sparring field 3."

Yoru proceeded out of the room, making sure that the six students were following. Hina, Jin, and Kira all seemed very reluctant to be anywhere near one another, though it was more specifically Hina and Kira whom kept their distance from each other and from Jin.

Yume Kinawa
Yume, like the other students making their way to Room 903, was completely silent. She imagined they were still in shock, what with Shizuka-sensei essentially announcing they were the best students that year. Yume knew she was, and it wouldn't be soon before she recovered from that feeling.
She began walking faster to be by Zî's side. The dark haired boy kept looking straight ahead as Yume whispered something to him. "How crazy is it that we're top-floor, huh?" She didn't expect an answer.
Arriving at the designated room, Yume took a hint out of Zî, Ren and Saru's books and sat to Zî's right. She provided a contrast to his calm state of mind; Yume was itching her arms and rubbing her legs, all the while constantly glancing at the other classmates present. Takahiro, still laying on her shoulder, licked the side of her face. She turned her head, and Takahiro stared at her intensely.
"Yeah, I probably should calm down." Yume mused and chuckled. She hung her head and rested her hands on her knees.
It wasn't long before Kuroh arrived. Yume wasn't impressed, judging by the man's appearance, although it was probably the girl's first impression of Shizuka that hyped her up. She listened intently to the man's words. Her eyes were drawn to the toolbox as he set it down and opened it, revealing four scrolls. He then instructed them to take one.
Yume's eyes inspected each one of the scrolls before choosing the one with a kunai head. Retracting it from the box, she analyzed the scroll more closely. She then looked up at Kuroh with slight confusion.

Zî Kenoybi
_________________
There was a certain hush over the departing group of students from the top floor graduates. Partly expected though partly unexpected as Zî figured others would be more stoked and audible in their excitement plus achievement of graduating where they did and really graduate at all. It was never a guarantee you'd graduate as many factors could weigh against just about anybody. According to his own father it was Zî's failure not to graduate sooner believing him a year late and required more training, additional study time and reason or motivation as Iyama called it to work harder. Apparently heirs of the now small, dwindled by war but still proud Kenoybi clan was greater then for even lesser branch members.... what a drag.....

However quiet it was amongst the top floor destined group, the notice of Yume hadn't been lost him nor the presence of Saru, Ren, Rin and Rengestu. Though Yume's took shape in his eyes by his ears sooner as she stepped alongside him catching up toward his moving presence. How crazy is it that we're top-floor, huh? She whispered to him bringing a quiet but noticeable smile to his face followed by a slight nod. Yeah, crazy... I just hope it satisfies lord father Zî couldn't help but think upon hearing Yumes whisper though perhaps satisfy was too hopeful a word and outcome? At this point in his life nothing would surprise him when it came to his father.

Taking a look toward Rengetsu he pondered the possibility of teaming with him and how it would be as the boy seemed like a loner by nature. Not that Zî had much room to talk as it usually took til mid day for him to be more open and decent minded, social in other words but still that could be a curve, Yume had become a good friend since they met and got to know one another plus they understood what the other went through. But what of Rengetsu and for that matter the others? Not to mention teamwork and cooperation, knowing one another was rather good with Yume and Takahiro, allowing his knowledge of them and their styles, quirks, etc to benefit him and how they could cover for one another and same in reverse. But others........ It was certainly going to be a learning curve. The downside to his outward presence in mood and state of mind, huh?

Meanwhile as Zî took his spot coincidentally near Rengetsu's chosen desk upon the floor and entering his crouched, balanced state of mind and being he often entered to help clear the fog and focus his mind, awaken his alertness, Yume took a spot near him on his right. He peaked his one eye open just enough to take notice and smile at her chuckle and itching to go state easily opposite of himself, glad she was raring to go but remained calm himself and returned his eye closed least for a seemingly brief moment.

As soon as the first set of scuffling feet across the academy's upper level floors took to the airwaves and added to the sound. He peaked his eyes open both this time to see who entered and appear more alert then his state might of gave off in impression. He gave thought to Saru's question to her teams new instructor while confirming who would be in which team. So it was a closer call then.... Shall I consider myself lucky to have evaded another failure or accept it and move on? Either way a first. Zî concluded in thought and nodded his eyes closed again now awaiting for their teams instructor to join them and introduce themself.

It was going to take time but he'd try harder to make himself more social and open appearing... After all he had a squad mate in the form of Rengetsu to learn more about and try to befriend or atleast get on better, workable terms with now that they will have to work together moving forward.

When the next instructor entered and introduced himself and his age, Zî once again opened his eyes now fully instead of peaked. Watching the man somewhat closely but grew more curious in immediate manner by the presence of the tools box and mention of scrolls soon after. Scrolls..... Didn't expect that one Zî admitted quietly to himself. He gave a look toward Yume and watched her own inspection before selecting a Kunai adornment scroll.

Next he looked toward Rengetsu curious if he'd move next or shall he start second in following Yume? Either way he gave a nod to him and briefly spoke. "Looks like we're a team now... Huh? Let's make it happen." He stated with a small smile and in accepting the team and glad to get this started while aiming to get off on the right foot. Even if his words weren't the most telling of his intent. Figuring it was indeed his turn Zî Rose out of his crouched state and began his own inspection of each remaining scrolls.

While he liked the blunt honesty of his new sensei and how they really didn't know how long they'd be student and teacher. He was more focused on the scrolls possibly putting more thought into then actually necessary: If the scrolls are to be used here... it must be a test. But what kind? Maybe the kunai hint at a trap based of kunai? Then that would mean the other scroll is to appear safe. But by expecting the unexpected and awaiting the element of surprise..... I should by all accounts select opposite of Yume, no? Least by assuming the directional pattern of fired kunai and potential limited angle pattern of non tool based traps? Hmm... He continued to ponder quietly while inspecting each one without moving a inch in either direction of a scroll. Giving no hints as to where he'd go with his selection. It has to be a test, right? Gifts of scrolls, maybe? No. unlikely. Must be a test and a kunai based trap if I'm correct would have a greater pattern and multiple angle potential if fired. Where as less potential in that sense with the other unless tools were still used? Ahh... come Zî make your brain think........ Still a element of surprise could be too great, yet to take on the unexpected is telling of your willingness to take on greater challenges, maybe? Hmm.... I'll chance it if this is indeed a test of some kind.

Giving a nod and looking up toward his new sensei, Zî smiled briefly in recognition of his earlier introduction and began to respond. "A pleasure Kuroh Sensei...." Zî spoke then returned toward the scrolls with his eyes, while also quietly noting he was more approachable seeming then Shizuka Sensei who's aura and presence seemed more demanding and fear inducing.

Deciding on which scroll he'd take Zî stretched his hand with calm and prepared mindset and wrapped his fingers around one of the scrolls with no adornments on them and lifting it upward for the taking. "Curious no, Yume.... Rengetsu?" He spoke up and took a slight step back to give more room. While looking toward each of them, Yume, Rengetsu, Kuroh and Takahiro. Thinking perhaps Takahiro was getting curious too... possibly.

Kiro's body shook, not out of fear, but rage, hands clenching into fists, a fire burning in his core.

Scum.....

Scum.....

Scum.....

The word echoed through Kiro's mind over and over again, a broken record replaying the moment... the condescension and elitism of the man lighting a fuse within the young ninja. To say it struck a nerve would be an understatement, and the anger coursing through his body blocked all stimuli, glossing his senses as he envisioned the myriad ways to send Kimito to the hospital.

Furthermore, if the man believed that Kiro would sidestep for his daughter, he was mistaken. If anything, he had made her a target and a rival, one that Kiro would look to crush, just to see the look of disappointment on her father's face.

After a few moments, each one phasing past the distracted graduate, Kiro's unrealistic power fantasy was cut off, attention taken by the calling of his name along with Park and Hiro who would form team J2.

"This could work" Thought Kiro to himself with an ambitious smirk, imagining the strengths and weaknesses of the team and how their skills would compliment to take on various opponents.

"Not a bad mixture of skills" he continued, casting a glance to his two teammates, making his way over to the pair after rising from his seat.

"I have the speed, the quick hits and Ninjutsu, high offense.... Park can land the power hits, Taijutsu specialist, a killer up close, and durable.... and Hiro does everything, not a master of anything but good at everything, she covers our weaknesses....... and she's cute" thought Kiro analytically, sitting beside his teammates, nodding at the two with a curt smile.

"Looks like this squad has everything covered.... this should work" said Kiro to the two, casting a vote of confidence for the newly formed team before turning his attention back to Yoru at the head of the room, just in time to catch the most interesting development yet, that there would be a match between J1 and J2, where he and his team would go head to head against the members of J1.

"Perfect" thought Kiro, turning a fiery glare towards Hina. She would lose to scum today, and her father would be sure to find out. The thought of his face turning red with anger gave the young ninja cause to chuckle as the Genin stood to follow Yoru.

"She's mine" cursed Kiro, features uncharacteristically cold, hands itching in anticipation as he walked from the room behind Yuro.

Ninja Academy room 103 to Sparring field 3

It doesn't take very long for Park to get bored especially when he had nothing to do and is just sitting and waiting. Most of the room is in total silence until grew annoyed by the lateness of the group's instructor, true to told Park wouldn't say he's the happiest bunny right now so he can't really blame Jin for getting annoyed. Paying little attention to the conversation at the back of the room Park eye were solely locked on the entrance to room 103, just who was going to be his Jonin that was the question he wanted answering. As the door finally slid open Parks are narrowed at the person who entered. "Isn't that." Park muttered looking towards the Kouen clan members at the back judging by his first words as he entered Park guessed he was correct.

Park listened very closely to what Kimito Kouen had to say and truth be told he felt bad for Hina. He knew what that felt like. Parents like that, maybe that was just how clan heads are, Park thought back to his own father the clan head of the Tsung clan the look in his eyes as he found his son's inability to use Genjutsu and how unless he was at ninjutsu, it was the same look Kimito Kouen had given to Hina a mix of disappointment and displeasure that their child was a screw up. However, while Park's father just went down the path of ignoring his existence it seems Hina's father had placed expectations that are unreasonably on Hina.

Park just shook his head being called scum was something he was very used to but now that he was a ninja he thought things would be different, all his training, all his hard work were done to stop people calling him scum or unless but it seems that he would have to do more than becoming a Genin he would have to move higher up the ranks before that would happen. With an angered look on his, face Park had found a new motivation to show Kimito Kouen what he had to offer and to show that he wasn't scum. Park's very on clan leaders changed, he had only met two of them and so far both called him scum maybe all clan leaders are just bully's.

Park watched as the door to room 103 opened once more this time another ninja walking in, looking him up and down Park guessed that this would be their instructor. Park listened to the man now know to him as Yoru with a slight smirk on his face as he had finished, it seemed Park was correct on the teams and luckily he had managed to get Hiro on his team. As Yaru continued it seemed Kiro had approached both Hiro and Park and had moved to the seat behind them. Park looked at his new teammates before a thought popped into his head."It seems we are missing a Genjutsu user other than that we have most bases covered." Park Said he knew Hiro only had the smallest bit of natural ability for it and that in training Kiro wasn't too good at it.

As the final bit of Yoru's speech had rounded out the last part of it was interesting to say the least. It seems J1 and J2 would have a sparring match and Park looked forward to that. More so he looked forward to seeing if they were a reason why Kimito Kouen had so much faith in Hina or whether it was just blind hope. Park listened to Kiro and let out a small chuckle under his breath it seems he wasn't the only one who doesn't like being called scum. "Be my guest." Park said to Kiro he wasn't fully interested in fighting Hina but more watching her fight, he didn't care who he fought he would beat them whoever they were.

"I have a demon, one that I'm not sure you'd want to see."

"Rose hidden in the Rain"
Hiro pouted. instantly feeling bad for Hina. She didn't understand her situation, as she was never expected much of. She was the child of fishermen, nothing more, she wasn't like park, who himself was a "disappointment", in his own right. So she could never understand what that felt. But still, she didn't feel like that was right. No child deserved that kind of treatment. Even if she did seem a little mean . . . But! Her Aunt always said never judge a book by its cover. Maybe all she needed was a hug, and some candy. That always made her feel better. But also, being called scum . . . How rude. It gave a gut punch to her self esteem, but she shrugged it off, wouldn't let it show. This was a happy day! No time for being sad.

"Hm?" Hiro muttered, noticing the sudden mood shift in Kiro. He seemed . . . Mad. Really really mad. It almost scared her. But what had made him so angry? Not only him, as she looked around, she realized that Parks face was almost as angry! His muscles were tense, and he held this fiery glare in his eyes. It made her nervous . . . Why were her class mates so anxious and hyper all of a sudden? Had she missed something important? The tension almost soothed over as the next instructor entered, and announced the teams. She turned to Kiro, and smiled unknowingly. Park was right, he was their team mate! She expected no less, Park always had the best intuition skills. Speaking of, he then continued to speak to herself and Kiro on their skillset, specifically the focused Genjutsu aspect they seemed to be missing. "You're right Park." Although . . . If she had to note, Kiro was faster, and stronger than her. Not by much, but just enough. Now that she thought about it . . . He was probably as fast as Park. No, no not as fast as him . . . Maybe even faster? No, no one could be as fast as Park. Hmm . . . The more she thought about it, the more she got lost in thought. How powerful. in all. were each of them?

"Huh?" She asked, realizing she'd gotten lost in thought. "Oh! Uh . . . Yeah." She nodded in agreement, though had no idea what she'd agreed to.

Rengetsu turned to face the door as Seiya entered the room, a woman with purplish black hair and carrying a large red staff. Her introduction was short and brief, merely giving everyone present the basic run down on who she was, that revelation turning out to be the fact that she was the Instructor asigned to Rin, Saru and Ren and more importantly confirming the fact that the first 3 names called were indeed Team 1 and the latter 3, the second team.

While the attention was drawn towards Seiya, it wasn't long before the elephant in the room was addressed, Saru the green haired girl asking the question that was no doubt on everyones mind, though any hope for an answer was quashed as Seiya responded and Saru chose to remain quiet there after. As Team Seiya left, Rengetsu turned to face Zi and Yume; the two fellow Genin with whom he was now partnered with then towards the door as a second Jounin entered. All things considering, it was obvious that this man entering was going to be their instructor, though considering his rather dull introduction as well as realistic outlook towards their future endeavours. Without even asking them to introduce themselves, Kuroh sensei quickly got to work; his instructions loud and clear and naturally drawing everyones attention towards the aforementioned scroll cases. Though Rengetsu was soon drawn towards Zi as the dark haired genin addressed him,

"Looks like we're a team now... Huh? Let's make it happen."

Rengetsu nodded, "Looking forward to it" he replied, though to expect any more of a response from him would have been wishful thinking. With Yume the first to pick her scroll, Rengetsu remained where he stood, choosing to watch Kuroh sensei's reactions, to see if the Jounin made any subtle changes in reaction to which scroll got picked and it seemed as if Zi too was rather hesistant at making a sudden decision. Without knowing much about Kuroh and having little information as to what each scroll case pertained, it was almost instinctual that he try to put himself into the best position possible especially information wise.

Though any hope in accomplishing as such was utterly futile as Kuroh remained steadfast in his expression, Zi ending up with the scroll case lacking the Kunai adornment and Yume ending up with the scroll case with the adornment. If either scroll case were to imply a deeper meaning, Kuroh had not revealed it. Thus, knowing nothing there was really only one thing left for him to do.

Unable to decipher Kuroh's intent with the scrolls, Rengetsu simply allowed his choice to fall upon faith, his right hand darting out towards the remaining two scrolls and grabbing one without putting any significant thought into the choice. Feeling his hand clasp around the circular shape of the object, Rengetsu pulled his choice towards himself and inspected it, immediately noticing the missing Kunai adornment. Leaving his choice to chance, Rengetsu had ended up picking the identical scroll case that Zi had only a few moments ago selected as well.

"Seems like we ended up with the same scroll case.." muttered Rengetsu as he glanced towards Zi, though as he did so, his eyes fell upon the scroll case Yume had picked, his interest piqed as he wondered what the difference meant. Rengetsu wasn't too fond of riddles, tricks and roundabout methods, finding them to be a nuisance to deal with; thus the lack of information behind Kuroh's actions was slightly bothering him.

Ninja Academy - Room 903
After the three Genin had picked their scroll cases, Kuroh picked up the last one, which had a kunai-tip adornment, just like Yume's. Setting it upright on the table in front of him, Kuroh placed a hand on top of the case's lid.

"Inside each case is a scroll with a word written inside of it. Each word is different, and is meant to represent something about the person who picks it. For instance, my scroll," Kuroh said as he pulled it out, rolling the scroll open on the table. In large letters, the scroll read 'Complicated'. "I'm not going to divulge into what my word means, seeing as it would be rather boring to talk about, but I want each of you to open up your scroll, and explain to me what you believe the word written means about you."

Rolling the scroll back up, Kuroh placed it back in its case and laid it in the box, watching and listening to the three Genin. He was waiting to see what their words would be, but he already had a good idea of what they likely were. 'For Yume, 'expectations'... Zi's likely going to have something along the lines of 'conflicting', and for Rengetsu... Definitely 'emotion'...'

Arriving at sparring field 3, Yoru directed Team J1 over to the eastern side of the field, meanwhile Team J2 to the western side. Yoru then proceeded to step to the middle of the field.

"Each team will be sending out one member at a time to fight. Neither team is required to share whom they're sending out until I call for you to send said person out. If you lose, you're out; if you win, you stay in until either you're defeated, or you defeat the last person on the other team. Now then, you have five minutes to decide the first member of your team to send out."

"I'm going out first," Kira said without hesitation, stepping out into the combat zone. It was obvious that Kira had no intention of giving her teammates a choice, and while Hina was clearly displeased by the decision, Jin didn't seem to care at all. In fact, if anything, Jin seemed to approve of the decision.

"Well then... Since J1's already decided... Who's gonna fight for J2?"

Sparring Field 3

As the teams both arrived at Sparring field 3 Park wished the group had talked about some kind of strategy for this training but alas they had not, oh well Park was sure that given enough time between each fight Park could take them all on...or at least that's what his confident side would like to say truth be told he wasn't too sure. Park looked forward and began staring down team J1 before looking back at his teammates. Park's mind began to think about strategy on how to maximize damage dealt while minimizing damage taken but it just wasn't as simple as that. As the rules full got read out Park's face turned into a sight smile. To Park this was the best scenario it meant he could use his endurance and pure strength to do as much damage as possible and stay in the fight for as long as possible his plan simple eliminate one and cause whoever comes next to use as much of their strength as possible before he goes down hell if everything goes right Park might even try and take all three.

Park glanced over at Hiro and gave her a knowing look, smirk still on his face he watched as Kira from the Fuma clan stepped forward from team J1. Park looked over at his other partner Kiro and remembering his words he knew who he wanted to fight leading Park to have fully made up his mind he was going first. Removing his sandals and allowing his feet to touch the wet grass under him the next thing he did was bend down and fold his right pant leg up to just above his ankle before standing back straight and kicking into the air seeing as his pant leg stayed folded he was ready. "I guess I'll give this a shot, you don't mind do you guys?" Park asked but before giving them a chance to answer he stepped forward.

"I'm not going to divulge into what my word means, seeing as it would be rather boring to talk about, but I want each of you to open up your scroll, and explain to me what you believe the word written means about you."

Rengetsu glanced down at the scroll in his hands, curiosity behind what his own word could potentially be as well as the implications behind having to do such a task. Though without actually going ahead and unravelling it, Rengetsu would never sate his interest, thus hesitating no more Rengetsu opened the case and began unravelling his scroll until it was fully open.

Rengetsu stared at the word written across his scroll. 'emotion', the appearance of the word already managing to cause a 'twang' within him. Of all the words he could have possible gotten, it had to be this one. Outwardly however, the expression on Rengetsu had hardly changes as he continued to examine his scroll, his mind racing as he took in Kuroh Sensei's words regarding what he had expected from them.

For several minutes Rengetsu had stood there quiet, his eyes focused solely on the written word before him; his mind contorting into all shapes and sizes as he fought inwardly against what this could potentially mean; though all of it was simply for show as deep down Rengetsu was already well aware of what the answer was. It was the very reason he struggled to interact with others, the same reason he adorned this helmet in an attempt to try and be more approachable. It was matter of factly, a flaw. Rengetsu sighed and placed the scroll down on the table, though he kept his eyes honed in on Kuroh.

"I don't express my emotions" replied Rengetsu, rolling his scroll up back into its case and staring directly at Kuroh. His response was plain and straight to the point, a simple retort to the question that had been asked, though to deny that he had felt uncomfortable when tasked with trying to figure out the meaning behind his 'word' was impossible as inwardly, Rengetsu was rather irritated at having a weakness he was already aware of exposed. All that aside, Rengetsu as a means of distracting himself from his own flaw had now attempted to reveal the trick behind this task; the method in which Kuroh had manipulated the scrolls. He must have written these scrolls before hand knowing full well which genin was going to attain what scroll, it was highly unlikely that he had left the selection up to chance.. that or there was some form of Jutsu embedded into each of the scrolls which resonated with the chakra of whomever had touched it... that being said, this still did not explain the difference in adornments between the two sets of scrolls.

'Sensei, why are the scrolls different if each of us are tasked with the same question" asked Rengetsu.

"I have a demon, one that I'm not sure you'd want to see."

"Rose hidden in the Rain"
Hiro looked over at the opponent who stepped up first, Kira Fuma was her name. Average height, blue eyes and silver hair . . . She didn't seem to have a physical build, unable to hold a candle to Hiro, body wise at least. Her movements seemed much too stiff to be that of a Taijutsu user . . . Then she must have been more versed in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, or one or the either. She squinted at her, and wondered... Should she do it? Should she go up and fight? It made her quite uncomfortable, the silence that had befallen her own team. Kiro seemed to want to fight the other girl, and Park had yet to say a word. Would she have to go up? If so, how would the match go? Was she going to end up losing??? Her anxiety filled her once more, and she couldn't help but bring an almost fearful look upon her eye.

Well, that was until she saw Park.

Everything seemed to grow brighter as her eyes met his, that knowing smile, confident and sometimes even cocky. He was smiling . . . Such a familiar face. Her worries completely dissipated, and she took in a slow but deep breath. She needed to calm down, this always happened when she over thought stuff! But it never happened to Park, he never seemed to doubt his own ability, at least not to the level that she did. It's why she strove to be like him, he was an inspiration for her.

"Go Park!" she called out with a large smile, "You can do it!"

"Inside each case is a scroll with a word written inside of it. Each word is different, and is meant to represent something about the person who picks it. For instance, my scroll," rolling the scroll open on the table. In large letters, the scroll read 'Complicated'. "I'm not going to divulge into what my word means, seeing as it would be rather boring to talk about, but I want each of you to open up your scroll, and explain to me what you believe the word written means about you."
There was a inner jaw dropping moment as these words had been spoken and Zî listened to them. A scene playing inside his mind that showed his eyes blanking into a white canvas with black circling around them, mouth open wide in gasp and head must be feeling quite heavy as his upper body stumbled forward and dropped hard to the ground as his arms twitched and scroll rolling from a open hand that lay upon the floor. Only thoughts being 'I over thought this entire situation involving the scrolls..... how could I miss the middle ground possibility?!?!' meanwhile the music of a fool would play in the background and great disappointment, embarrassment and thoughts of his father would do if knowing of this oversight crossed through his mind and emotions.

It was this inner turmoil over a simple error of calculation that nearly caused Zî to forget and go without notice Rengetsu's earlier mutter towards him. But even still while not forgetting the response surrounding the scrolls and what he might have said, Zî didn't quite react properly as only a nod of his head and brief smile could be managed. The error still bothering him so for even while not the most competitive sort, he was expected to achieve and maintain certain scores, meet certain goals and not place nor bring shame on his clan.

And while he didn't outwardly show his thoughts and calculation of observations concerning the scrolls. Zî still felt like a fool for missing it, while he didn't have that jaw dropping- Twitching- Eye blanking scene in reality it felt as if he did either way. But this state of being and mind had momentarily shaken off by the returned focus to reality and his new team. Taking time to observe Rengetsu and see how he reacted to the reveal, watch as the boy took the first round of opening the scroll after Kuroh Sensei's lead and see what word was given, no, found within that pertained to Rengetsu himself.

The boy was quiet and focused intently on the scroll for some time, meanwhile Zî was curious by the mechanics of the scrolls. Each genin, each ninja was given a scroll that contained a word specific to them and them alone on this day, in this moment.....

There was certainly a necessary source behind all this to explain it. And while Zî was curious and quietly working it out in his mind, he kept focused on the scene before him. "So.... Rengetsu's word involves emotions." The dark haired lad simply noted before looking to Kuroh sensei wondering the same as Ren did when the Hozuki asked the question. But part of him felt like the answer was already in his mind, in Zî's mind as well. But after failing to correctly deduce the first time around it gave Zî the necessary pause before going too far into this route of thought.

Following this came Zî's glance toward Yume and Takahiro, he could imagine the word she might get after how well they knew each other. But soon enough came Zî's turn and that was a unsettling outcome..... Obviously he could guess what kind of word would be found within his own scroll.

"Conflicted"
The scroll read as the young Kenoybi placed it upon the surface of the table and his hand unrolled the scroll before his eyes, the eyes quickly darting to the word. Even if correct and already aware.... it shook him on the inside while his teeth took to gritting against one another, eyes narrowed while hand gripped part of the scroll tightly. Inner turmoil of mixture taking shape as his blood slightly boiled, knowing once more his father found a way into daily life and routine for the day, even if his part was unbeknownst to him. While alternatively it was not just frustration alone he tried hiding beneath the surface, but also shock as because while he knew what word might come, he wasn't truly prepared to face it with the proper level of strength needed.

Zî was knowing that such a minor exploitation could be quite telling into the mindset of a shinobi. If a scroll with Kuroh's aid could determine a word so fitti to each of them, then no doubt a experienced ninja with enough observation and wit could uncover the same and use it against them. Exploit their inner weakness and use it effectively. Taking away their clear head and instead the enemy could place themselves within it, toying with them til finally dispensing of their living bodies and moving on in success.

When it came to his voice to be heard in answering Kuroh's earlier task with a response. Zî struggled at first yet once he started to overcome his inner turmoil, he slowly started to respond with his own answer. "Conflicted: A clashing interest or personality that makes it unwise to further partnership without coming to a solution to such problems. Else face the eventual consequences that shall come. My word......" Zî explained one possible meaning behind his own word, purposefully taking the longer route before coming back around to a true answer behind what his meant. Using that time to calm himself and regain control over his emotions and clearly answer in proper form. " My word.... hints, no, it outright points toward a conflict I face within myself and relating to another. A conflict that could lead to trouble if out in the field and pinpointed by another in use against me." Zî spoke while clearing his throats after saying 'My word' allowing a brief pause before continuing. Head started off down with eyes closed tight til slowly his head raised, eyes opened and he spoke with raised head and clear, narrowed eyes focused on that which all stands before him.

The morning was dull, as always in Amegakure, and what few rays cut through clouded sky reflected from the dew coating of the training field; sparkling gems to the discerning eye.

Kiro remarked internally of the relatively abundant light, for within the cloudy confines of the Hidden Rain, even extremely sparse sunlight was of note.

"Another beautiful morning" thought Kiro sarcastically with a smirk, looking up to the dull grey above, eyes squinting at the edges, continuing his sarcasm within, pondering "I wonder if it'll rain today?", all the while trailing behind his two teammates, ambling to the west end of the training field, his pace a gradient between sluggish and disinterested.

Arranging themselves at their designated location, Kiro looked at his two teammates briefly, wondering if this would be a short lived arrangement. Would the losers flunk? Would defeat mean another year in the academy? Permanent dismissal from the ranks? After all these were the reprobates. The kids "with no future" who didn't or couldn't pay attention in class. Those that lacked motivation or talent.... or those that lacked both. Would this be the final cut? Hell if he knew, and before he could allow anxiety to creep, he cut the intrusive thoughts from his mind.

"Doesn't matter if this is win or go home.... there's no way I lose in a place like this" thought Kiro decisively, blustering smile widening across his face, fist slamming into palm, a fire lit within for the battle to come.

Came the words of Yoru, followed by Kira of J1 declaring that she would fight first for her team, disappointing Kiro who itched to fight Hina.

For a moment, Kiro wondered with annoyance if he'd have to fight Kira, who he had nothing personal against. However, before worry could sink deep, Park volunteered with the confidence of a continent, kicking his sandals off, rolling his pant leg up and extending a crisp kick to the side in a show of skill, balance and force.

Park then turned to both Kiro and Hiro, asking their blessing to fight first... the question serving as a formality and statement of intent.

Positive and kind as Hiro is, she was quick to give her support, offering words of encouragement to the Taijutsu specialist, egging him on to give it his best with confidence. On the other hand, Kiro, being the natural antagonist to the straight edged type, stroked his chin for a moment in mock thought before speaking, dropping his chin stroking hand to his opposing palm like a judge dropping a gavel in a moment of sarcastic epiphany.

"Good idea!"

"If you go first, me and Hiro will know how to beat Kira....."

"Try to tire her out for me!" exclaimed Kiro, his grin wide enough to dam an ocean.

"I'm not going to divulge into what my word means, seeing as it would be rather boring to talk about, but I want each of you to open up your scroll, and explain to me what you believe the word written means about you."
Yume glanced down at the scroll in her hands, hesitant to open it. She glanced between Rengetsu and Zî to see if they would bite first. Rengetsu eventually gave in, his word being "emotions".
Yume saw the boy's jaw lock up in tension. After begrudgingly giving his own interpretation of the word, the red-haired girl noticed his desperate attempt to change the subject with a fairly valid question. But before that could be answered, the others would have to read their words as well.

Speaking of which, Zî was up next. He read the word out and went silent for a while. While his expression remained neutral, Yume all but knew the boy was screaming inside. After a few moments, Zî managed to squeeze out his interpretation of his given word, but was noticeably uncomfortable after.
Now the spotlight was on herself. Yume began opening her scroll, but as she did so, she wondered: if the other words affected the two boys beside her like that, how terrible could her word be?
"Expectations"
Oh.
That terrible.
Yume's heart fell into the pit of her stomach. She noticeably shifted in her spot as a frown crept on her face. She pretended to be trying to figure out the meaning behind the word, but she knew all too well what it meant. And she had a feeling even the others knew too.
"'Expectations'... I have great expectations that I'm unwilling to live up to."
Rolling the scroll back up, Yume hung her head. She glanced at Rengetsu and Zî who were also observing her before returning their gazes towards their own scrolls. Yume wondered how Kuroh-Sensei knew how to get under their skins like that. Or, more curious, how he knew which one of them would pick which scroll.
Unless...
Maybe the scrolls were a fail-proof strategy. Come to think of it, each word seemed to apply to each one of them in one way or another. It didn't really seem like blind luck if you looked at it like that.
Resting the scroll on her lap, the girl awaited the conclusion of that experiment.

Kuroh listened calmly and quietly to each of the three as they opened and described what their word meant to them.

"You're probably wondering why I had you all describe what your words mean about you, and that's natural; I wondered the same thing when I was your age," Kuroh said once everyone was finished.

"These words represent a flaw of yours; an obstacle special to you, which you must overcome to become who you're truly meant to be. In order to help you, I'm going to give you each my best interpretation of your words; and, in advance, I do apologize if I get something about you wrong, and feel free to correct me after I've gone through all three words."

Kuroh picked up Yume's scroll first, rolling it back up into its case and putting it away as he spoke. "Expectations. Far too much is expected of you, and it weighs you down. However, even if they're unreasonable, you're only making it worse by not putting in any effort to meet them in any way, or, at the very least, change them."

Kuroh then proceeded to pack away Rengetsu's scroll. "Emotions. As you said, you don't express your emotions; well, sort of. You don't truly understand your own emotions, and thus, you don't know how to express them. As a result, you don't even realize how much your emotions have controlled your life."

Lastly, Kuroh started to pick up and put away Zi's scroll. "For you, conflicting. Your thoughts and feelings contradict one another, with conflicting actions being the result. You detest your situation in life, yet you believe that there's no point in changing it. You want to avoid putting in more effort than necessary, yet you put your all into your training without even realizing it. You put forth the effort to go through the lifestyle you hate, yet you don't put even a fraction of that effort into changing it to be how you want it to be."

Once Kuroh finished, he picked up the box full of scrolls. "If you feel like anything I've said is wrong, do correct me on the way to Sparring Field 1," he said as he started to head out of the room and toward Sparring Field 1.

Ninja Academy - Sparring Field 3
"Alright, so... Kira, from Team J1, versus Park of Team J2. Since the both of you seem to be ready, you may begin now."

The moment Yoru said begin, Kira placed her hands together in a tiger hand seal before multiple explosions took place around Training Field 3, the ground underneath Park beginning to crack and collapse underneath him. "This technique will be enough to finish you," Kira said to Park as the ground at his feet became more and more unstable.

For those watching the fight, of course, this was a completely different scene. Nothing seemed to have happened yet. Kira pulled out a kunai with three explosive tags attached to it, and where Park had heard the word "technique", the others heard the word "kunai". Unaware to Park, though clear to everyone else, Kira threw the kunai right past Park's head, where the tags then proceeded to explode directly in front and to the left of him. All Park would get out of it was the ground in front of him proceeded to explode, sending him flying back and to the ground.

"Game over," Kira said as she looked up at their instructor, waiting for the man to call the match.

"Alright, so since Park's been blasted in the face by three explosive tags, I can say that Kira is the winner here... Unless, of course, Park himself would like to prove otherwise by standing up rather than being unconscious..."

"Damned Kira... If she'd even been a second later in throwing that thing, then the technique behind it would've been easily discovered," Jin muttered to himself. Hina gave him a curious look, having barely caught what he'd said, but for the members of Team J2, all they would've seen was Jin scratching the back of his head before Hina turned to look at him with a puzzled expression.

What the hell just happened was the only thought running through Park's mind as he laid on the floor. Looking around him he was confused the floor fine none of it was exploded like he had once thought...no like he had once saw...it all made sense Genjutsu one of Parks biggest weakness he had no idea whenever he was in a Genjutsu so he never knew how to break them or more clearly when to. One thing Park knew for sure was that he shouldn't take many of those in a short space of time.

It all made much more sense now. Park listened as Kira's over-confident voice spoke believing she had won. Now was the best time to do something, Park quickly jumped up flipping himself onto his own two feet before setting off at a full sprint towards Kira, his plan use the element of surprise mixed with his speed to get to Kira and hopefully get her into his range. It only then occurred to him she was using explosive tags which meant chances are she had placed some down with him being a Taijutsu fighter. Park decided that the second he got to a point where he could take the to the air and still reach her he would. His plan was to take the air hopefully avoiding any explosive tags on the floor and once he got close enough to her using his Sky Strike, raising his leg into the air and slamming it down onto Kira with it being used from higher up in the air it should cause extra damage since the speed of his falling would amplify the attack.

Finally just incase she did try any more Genjutsu tricks Park only had one counter to it that wasn't obvious. Placing his teeth on his tongue and putting pressure on his tongue causing a slight bit of pain. Park's planned to bite down slightly harder to the point where it would cause blood and a large amount of pain whenever even the slightest strange thing happened her disappearing, mass explosions anything of the sorts that would even slightly spell a Genjutsu ability and he would do it other than knowing and being able to release it pain also worked as a release mechanism.
